    It’s always enjoyable watching trains running around your layout. It’s fun picking out areas that you remember being built or rebuilt. Lol. I’m still waiting for that roof to go on. Just teasing John. No pressure. Take care of yourself. See ya next time.

      Oh Norman, if you saw the layout, you’d see how much is simply not done. Itll take years to complete. My aim this year is to complete Piccadilly station, anything else is a bonus.

    Hiya John,
    Hope your well. What a really great little running session that was . The azuma runs well doesn't it . And the Pendolinos look really ace in avanti livery. Must get round to putting up a few more videos of my layout . You could do with a few more electric locos like a pair of 86's on a liner or a class 92 . Stay safe 🙏 and look forward to next week

    • @piccadillymodelrailways
      @piccadillymodelrailways  2 года назад +1

      Hi Andrew, glad you liked it, struggling for time to do more.
      Really sorry to disagree the azumas constantly pulsing, you can hear it on the video, had to run it slow to lessen the problem. Ill give Gaugemaster a ring see they know. Something about back EMF Im sure. The pendlinos run better than 800s now, bizzare isnt it? Especially after all those years of constant derailing. That’s fantastic now, how it should have been when delivered now I made my own couplings.
      I did have / have got an 86, but diodes went on the board, got new board and it was a absolute nightmare. Its sitting in bits now. Most of the dapol locos (I have) have same issue, bar 68s, even HSTs they start slowing down and pulsing just like azumas. I had to buy a whole new motorised chassis on one HST ( shouldnt be). Graham farish totally the best, for most locos.
      I cant justify a 92 Im afraid, especially as many have reported what poor runners they are too. I do wish farish would update 90s, then I might be tempted.

    John, thanks for taking the time to post this video. I hope you're all right - I could he faint strains of resignation in your voice. Maybe it's the dark amorphous creature sliding down from the shelf to consume the line to New Mills. Or was it just a bag, a piece of clothing, or something equally less sinister! Take care of yourself, John. Dave

    Do you have or sell your stl files I want to build a small terminal on my tail chaser stain set?

    • @piccadillymodelrailways
      @piccadillymodelrailways  2 года назад

      Hi,
      I do create most of my own files, but they are very bespoke to my build. I don’t have anything that you could say is a small terminal I’m afraid, sorry. I’m reluctant to start selling files as the tax bit soon get complicated and I then have a business, which something I’m avoiding. Thingiverse may have something or Scalescenes down load kits. You buy, download it print and mount to card, they are very good, can be fiddly, but worth it. Just remember to varnish with acrylic Matt varnish to seal it, Probably your best bet if I’m honest.

    Great to see some train action John. quick question if you added 2 carriages to your virgin class 43 would it still fit on the platform and if yes what length is your platform you have? Stay safe.

    • @piccadillymodelrailways
      @piccadillymodelrailways  2 года назад

      Hi Mike, I decided on max of 7 coaches on the HSTs because they will easily fit on the train lift, which is 1400mm long, any longer they wont fit. The pendolinos are longer but they stay on top all the time now and never go to the fiddle yard below.

    • @mikeatpudhamjunction2323

    • @piccadillymodelrailways
      @piccadillymodelrailways  2 года назад

      Ahhhh I see, just measured it. 7 + 2 is 1320mm plus two coaches (310mm), approximately 1630mm for the nine coach HST. Hope that helps.

      There are are a few good quality OO gauge electric locos appearing now. The ECML / WCML are great modelling choices now
