Thank you kindly for this great video. I used to work for TTC but now I'm retired and moved to Petawawa Ontario so I love seeing your videos of transit organizations. Great job and keep them coming. THANKS AGAIN.
The stations look awesome, it’s just the look on the platforms that looks.... it's too simple and cold with a very lack of artistic designs, they need colours like at Sheppard west or artistic shapes on the concrete walls, other than that, Very gorgeous, Pionner Village FTW _greetings from MTL_
Close but the first long subway extension was back in 1978 when the SPADINA subway was extended to Wilson but the last extension to Downsview occurred in 1996.
+Transit Archive Projects ABSOLUTELY! I live in the former City of York, love the TTC and I am totally in favour of the Scarborough Subway extension because, even though I don't live in Scarborough, the proposed subway extension will benefit the entire city. Mayor Rob Ford had it all planned with full funding from all three levels of government. Even though he was controversial, he was a man who "got the job done" when he made a promise. If he was still with us today, shovels and borer machines would have been in the ground constructing the Scarborough Subway long ago. That's the kind of man he was. Even with unexpected cost overruns, Rob would have figured it out and somehow solved the financing problems, the same as they did with this new Line 1 subway extension up into the 905. Because Rob Ford got sick and died, city council subsequently cut the Scarborough Subway extension back to just one stop, procrastinated, dragged their heels and made all kinds of excuses to delay construction or cancel the project altogether in favour of an LRT that will be completely rendered useless when we have our very next severe Winter---- something we Torontonians haven't seen in quite a few years. But weather events go in cycles. Remember, this is Canada and whenever we have a severe winter snow/ice storm in Toronto, the Scarborough LRT is always the first transit line to become disabled. City council is pulling this stunt with the Scarborough Subway extension because they know that Rob Ford is not with us and cannot fight back in the decisions the councillors are making regarding the Scarborough Subway. Remember, the voters have spoken repeatedly and Toronto wants subways! Even though Mayor John Tory is in favour of subways in Toronto, I sort of hope that Doug Ford is elected our next mayor so he can continue the legacy of Rob Ford, work diligently to restore the original plans for the Scarborough Subway and "get the job done" as Rob would have done.
The sounds of the TR on those new rails 😍
This is a day you will never forget.
That's for sure

You're the one talking. You have such beautiful stations and the Azur trains are beautiful

Its the first new Toronto subway line in 15 since the opening of Line 4, the Sheppard subway back in 2002.
I can't believe it's been 6 years now.
That music is too loud. Can you put it in the background (lower the volume) please? TY.
Not enough cheering! LOL. Is that the line for the Vaughan Mills bus @23:48 ?
If you want to see his face reveal it is at 19:06
Toronto wants subways!
As a Scarberian, it needs a four stop Line 2 Extension to Scarborough Centre.

This is the first time a subway went to Steeles and passed it until the highway 7 extension
Did you happen to catch the knockout walls for the (eventual) LRT at Finch West?
Yes I did. You can check that out in my Finch West open house video.
Is the Viva rapidway station at VMC open yet?
Was there on opening day as well... sadly the VMC viva station isn't open yet... But it looks almost complete. Probably by Spring 2018.
"Vaughn Metropolitan Centre Station" is such a mouthful. Why not just "Vaughn Station"?
WillTheWolfLover why not just say VMC Station.
The signs onboard say 'Vaughan' instead of Vaughan Metropolitan Centre.
i would say vaughan metro area
Why not Highway 7 Station?
I just say Vaughn metro Centre
why does the tr have some new sound when it departs?
It's not its the tracks eco it's because the tracks are brand new
Wow, that's a long video you made/
Nice!
TTC buses and TTC subways in corners
классическое метро в хорошем дизайне ,но скрипучее !!!
Tbh, these stations needs some extra colours because grey is too bland
I'm glad that Doug Ford didn't get the mayor's seat because if he had he would have put a stop to the building of the LRT trains to Vaughn.
Celeste K maybe as preimer?
@@brianreed31 Which he would become in June 2018
