    Does not take a lot of knowledge to see the distress most of these horses are experiencing.
    My heart has so such pain to see this.
    Is such a blessing that Horse Plus is here to intercept the worst ending these horses could endure. I have no money to help, I wish I could! I have mountains of prayers going their way. Please Lord, help those who are helping the beautiful creatures you created!!! 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

No more slogging around in the mud if it was raining or had rained. Access to the horses in the chute is amazing.

    The new intake barn is freakin' AWESOME. It's so well designed, Tawnee! When you were talking about your system of gated pens, I thought it was genius. I loved seeing it in action. The only two things I'd change if it was in my power, would be to cover the floors of the holding pens with rubber mats. It makes me cringe, thinking of those poor skelatal horses lying down on that hard concrete. I know, the cost of that much matting would be high. But I'd be willing to contribute to a floor mat fund if yiou asked. I also know the intake barn is still a work in progress, so you may already be planning on adding mats.
    Also the height of that support bar over the entrance to the scales. Having to convince horses to duck their heads while stepping up on the scale has always been problematic. I wonder if that bar could be raised? It would have to be custom welded, obviously. I wonder if that's a possibility?
    Anyway, the new intake barn is wonderful, and it's so good to finally see it in use after all the work and planning. Good job!

      @angiehale7406 Месяц назад +2

      I totally agree with you about the low bar as they go to the scales. That looks to be a design flaw. They have some very large horses that come through the barn, and that could pose a very dangerous issue if it's not fixed.

      Yes, Jason is great ….BUT, “sometimes” Jason is a jumper. Well, that’s what we call “people who ‘jump to act, a bit too soon’”. Like when Jason ((Nov. Buy out I think it was)) was saying “Oh, this horse is done…this poor horse isn’t going to make it ((yes, the horse needed to get LAOK. But, you(Jason) never know for certain.” AND, when someone just made an in the spot suggestion about moving the trailer? Jason jumped and said, “Ok! MOVE THE TRAILER!”. When, Dr. Lydia DID NOT want it moved quite yet- she needed a minute- and Tawnee hollered for the driver to wait - and then, Dr Lydia said she was comfortable moving the trailer away. Jason also has a little bit of ‘over speaking people who are working on horses. Like when Dr Lydia was trying to listen to a horses heart and gut sounds? Jason was(AGAIN) talking. I’m REALLY NOT trying to be a Debbie Downer AT ALL- It’s just my observations😊
      Jason is a ‘jumper’ - he jumps to do and say things before he should, is all😊

    As a want to be horse girl, who could never ride or own a horse due to cost and space. 1) I love your channel so much, I’m so glad RUclips took me here. And 2) I’m always so incredibly sad for these creatures. To me, it would be such a privilege to even be around horses and to see how the humans who are privileged enough to at some point own them, just to abuse them… it breaks my heart so much and makes me a bit angry. I want to shout at those old owners “how dare you! I’d give my left liver and my kidneys to be allowed to build a relationship with a horse, and you chose to abuse these gentle, amazing creatures”. As a dog person, im actually so shocked these horses don’t lash out at humans after the abuse. Such amazing creatures. I only wish I lived closer so I could volunteer, but you’ve inspired me to find a horse rescue in my area I can volunteer at.

They look mid evel, but they can be a big help with the draft hoof work. As well as safety. Some of this farms horses were x amish draft horses, and some of them did react badly and hurt someone. Please be careful. Most of them were very sweet. I think they just did not have PET relationships with their people. Sad.

    I heard something profound on another channel ... paraphrasing - the comment was that Mother Earth is very angry with mankind - partially for the way we treat the animals; that a balance will not happen for mankind until we, as the caretakers of earth and all it's creatures, to do the right things for all living creatures.
    I thought of HPH immediately. What HPH has accomplished to bring back humanity - for the horses initially, and for all creatures (being a open shelter to any and all creatures that require rescueing and help) is certainly a living example of doing the right thing.
    KUDO's to each and very one of you, but especially to Tawny and Jason for their visionary concepts, and actions, to make HPH and The Circle of Life, and so many more programs, as a foundation to bring so many of us into the fold. GOD BLESS them, and all of the current, original, and future horse rescuers for all they are doing! May the (universal) force be with you!

    The new barn is fantastic!! That is making things so much better already. Thank you for saving all of those poor babies. If it wasn't for you guys, they would, no doubt, be in so much pain that could be fixed. Giving them the LAOK is always heartbreaking, but necessary. I have watched so many of your videos and wondered about their back stories. You guys are amazing.

    Aww I remember baby Benjamin, let’s hope we can get an update on him. I’m loving how the new intake barn is currently working. It seems less hectic when they first arrive. I’m loving that they are all able to get fresh water and hay. Well done HP xx
