Corvette C6 TPMS Reset

- Your C6 Corvette's TPMS system is easy to reset. Most tire shops will reset your sensors for free for you (although it helps to know this procedure to help them out). I autocross whenever I can, so I swap my tires a couple of times a month. I've used this particular TPMS reset tool for several years now (although I know there are others on the market, this has worked flawlessly for many years now).
The TPMS tool from the video can be found here: amzn.to/2ajdNQ0
The sensors: amzn.to/2a2IGnB
The nut that you need: amzn.to/29XxQ6B
Tire reset at Corvette central...170 bucks. The exact unit you used at Amazon 12 bucks. Came in two days and I did exactly as you showed and it worked exactly as you showed. It was so cheap and so easy it was anticlimactic lol. Thank you for your video!
No clue why you have any thumbs down. Super easy helpful video. Just got a 2011 Grand sport with 8700 miles on it. None of my pressure were showing. Bought the tool you used for $13, followed the basic steps, my tires warning light is off and my tire pressures are all showing ! Thanks bud !
You saved me probably $75 "diagnosis" at the dealer. Just ordered the tool for $8.
Great info. for me I own 2012 c6 in Korea. No mechanic around me know Corvette well so that I have hard time in maintenance. Recently I came across service tire monitor and front right tire and rear left tire show 'xxx'. I ordered tool you recommend hope it will work fine. Thanks from Korea.
Thank you so much. This worked perfect on my 2008 with that same tool I bought for $10 on amazon. You saved me hours a
Just did this with my 07 z06. worked like a charm.💪💪💪
Still works. My LF read 37lbs , no matter the pressure. I followed the procedure and like magic reads 27bs. 2005 base model convertible with z51 package. Thanks
The money you saved me is crazy! Goodyear wanted 180.00 to do 1 tire!!! Watched your video ordered the parts from Amazon & had a local tire shop them install the sensor. Got home and put my 2010 grand sport into learning mode and it worked the 1st time. I owe you many beers and a big thank you!
Thank you for the kind words!
Corvette thank you for posting this up. 👍
I have to tell you what I feel! After purchasing the same unit from amazon, I found it to function exactly as you indicated....perfection! My vehicle goes in the shop for something totally unrelated! (Running rough!) It was suggested that I change the wiring & plugs which I allowed them to perform and also a fuel line cleaning. I also alerted them to the front driver side tire sensor appears to have xx stating to service tire monitor). They said they reset it and it didn't come on again. Got it back & less than 150 miles accumulated and the tire sensor service light is back on again........now none of the tire sensors are working. Now be aware that the bay service guy and the special corvette mechanic (who only works on corvettes) both owns older model Corvettes! Now am I getting paranoid, or does something just not seem right!
Amazing video! hanks for your help.
Not sure if you're still creating content but I shared this one to a C6 FB group since it's probably one of the best straight on how to out there.😎 You do these right.👍
Thank you for the kind words!
Excellent Info!! Thank you sir!!
Thank you
Cool video, straight to the point and very helpful. Thanks for posting!
Thank you for the info. A lot of people/places are always pointing towards the $130 tools instead of the $30 one that works fine for your specific vehicle.
Excellent video, I’m going to use this procedure for my track tires
Thank you!
Thanks. Worked like a charm. Good video 👍
Thanks so much. Ordered the tool from Amazon and It worked!!! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
This is a great and thorough video. Great job
Thanks for the video. It worked perfectly
First time I've come across your channel. Love it! Thanks for sharing.
Stupid question but will this work on a 2013 grand sport?
Thanks! Just followed this and it worked
As the video shows it works best when the probe is pointing to and touching the tire rubber nearest the valve.
Hey thanks for your video a have another TPMS it was driving me crazy when i try to program the sensor, looking to your video i get the same tool and problem resolved thanks!
Worked like a charm thank you very much
If you hold the accessory button down for an extra 3 seconds the Ding-A-Ling will stop even with the door open.
thanks for the video, did the trick, tire swaps are fun and free :)
Thank a lot, problem solved wiht your video, Good Bless YOU.
Thanks for the kind words. Sorry for the slow reply! :)
Worked great, thanks!
Thank you!!!
What year is your Corvette?
Thanks for the video btw very helpful!
This car is a 2011 Grand Sport.
Worked like a charm thanks for the video sir 🫡
Great video thank you!
Will this work with the 2005 fob that a different configuration than the one you displayed? Al
Thanks for the great video.
What year is your GS, mine is a 2011 and the local Discount Tires store computer says I have to take my year car to the dealer for a reset.
My GS is a 2011. I swap my tires at least 50 times per year (I autocross all the time and have different tires for that vs. street driving). I use the tool in the video. Before I had the tool, I used to just take it to whatever tire shop I purchased from last and asked them to do it....I was never ever charged for that service. That being said, I sometimes had to explain the procedure (so they didn't have to look it up). I've never once had to take it to a dealer.
That being said, more often than not, it's just a matter of the tire place not knowing the Vette's specific procedure (or at least that's what I've found).
Thanks, I have that tool for my C5 but was putting it on the valve stem and it wasn't working, so I'll try it at the sensor now thanks again.
Yeah, I've actually seen that advice online too...and it didn't work for me either. Right there on the rubber works for me every time (and I change my tires several times per month for daily driving and autocross).
You got caught with no gas. 😅
doesnt work for me, bad battery?
How far away from the car are your other set of wheels and tires? Do they have to be a certain distance away so it dosnt confuse the car? Thanks in advance.
I did this but my machine didnt work with the tpms sensors i installed
So do you have to do it in that order, or does order matter? When I watched the guy do it at tire store he did backs first, then fronts. Sort of followed brake bleed, furthest to closest.
The order matters only if you want your display to reflect the correct tire, so that FL on the display really is the "Front Left" tire.
I use 3.00 magnet 😁👍
will this tool work on 2005 Vet?
No
A magnet works on the c5 instead of buying a tool.

I spend 89k on a ZR1 , and your telling me, I have to spend more money, on a tool to reset the TPMS sensors ... Starting not to like CHEVY . Funny thing, I also own a FORD COBRA , and haven't bought extra tools yet .. You sure there's no other way .
Thank you!!
Thanks!!
