- Quick little meme video! I haven't uploaded in over a month, sorry about that, life and school took priority. Going to take some time getting back into animation, then I gope to get back to uploading more frequently!

Because this is getting a lot of traction, let me make this clear. MAP stands for MULTI ANIMATOR PROJECT. MAPS are when animators come together to create a short music video or film.
Recently, disgusting people have been trying to make “MAP” stand for Minor Attracted Person. Let me be clear, this is NOT OKAY. Letting pedophiles use an acronym allows them to go undercover and become more welcomed through shorthand words that people may not know or understand.
Multi Animator projects have been going on for 15 years, so I am not letting our creative projects change because some disgusting people want to make their crimes more relatable. Call them what they are. They are pedophiles.

I make all of my character designs simple by default even if I have no intention of animating them. Being an animator really changes how you design things
exactly. i prioritize silhouettes and simple designs with confident lines and exaggerated shapes.
I also tend to make my Character designs as simple as possible. I wish more MAP hosts or artists would do to this when allowing others to animate their designed characters

@@wolfbyte2468Good ol' celluloid paper. That's why Cuphead was and still is such a big deal. They used actual celluloid animation which is very rare to see these days. Also, celluloid paper can be a pain to get a hold of.
Researched it.
Apparently there was a seperate team entirely for the spots, and each design had a “key spot”. Basically a spot on the design of each dog that they could memorise, so they would know where the other spots go in each frame. Once they figured out where the key spot was meant to be in a scene, everything else would follow suit.

I always cry when especially new and inexperienced host have some of the more difficult and small detail that not even someone who tweens is gonna find fun to draw.

Honestly all maps by funkyfresh I joined the map and the ashfur design was insane. They are also a mass map creator and none are finished but with those designs, no wonder. Easy to lose motivation

This one time I was gonna join a map but they had Dawnmist designs (which are fine I like them a lot!,) but then I was amv and at least 8fps and I was shocked.
I try to save stripes and dots for the body since faces, paws, and tails are the most animated

I have animates so many things for years, and this type of design make me cry 😭😭
Hers a tip for spots for animators out there: Just use a dot for the spots, preferably on a separate layer!
Also, I personally dont struggle much with complex designs since I have pre-made models, cuts animating time in half at least!
This is actually my main problem when wanting to join maps 😭 they make the designs really detailed!

But then the maps join the mapping team and the maps map maps as I make the maps and make them public, not knowing about the Mapping Map Map. I get hate for the Map map mapper so I get thrown off the Internet for being a pedophile, zoophile, furry supporter and Mapper. UTTP celebrates as a country ball mapper who made maps and was a furry is publicly shamed for something they didn't do

I stopped making MAPS because nobody joined them. I never got to the point of getting to use my designs, but I made em fairly simple in hopes I'd get to one day. Probably going to keep redesigning forever with the fear of ever posting a MAP again 😂

MAP's second definition is definitely Multi Animator Pain, (this is also why I try to keep character designs as simple as possible, cause my god, stripes and dots are nightmares.)
TennelleFlowers taught me like 8 years ago that all animators will hate me if I have complicated designs and I never forgot it

Warriors is a book series! All the animations on YT are fan-made and based on the books. I recommend you read the books, the series is great, but if you don't wanna read and just wanna watch the animations people make that's valid too!! A few people do that! There's no order to watch MAPs in, they're made independently by very talented fans.

This is common in warrior cat animations.
I can not tell you how many black lines ive had to close off because their ears/tails were different or they had a very specific design on the body.

I always make designs that I'd want to animate, so not too many hard to draw markings and stuff lol koerenn makes good tabby cat designs actually! She puts like 2 or 3 really chunky rectangle stripes on the cats but it still looks nice

I've never hosted a MAP but this is why I plan on having an unwritten rule that *any* design that's featured can be simplified as long as the character is still recognizable.

I like making complex character designs but I try not to make them TOO complicated cus I would draw them again and forget little details that bother me when I remember them
I remember one map host who made one of the characters have detailed hands (tattoos, rings, painted nails ect) that weren't optional.
Which is great until you remember that I PHYSICALLY CANNOT DRAW HANDS 😭
