Garth from South Africa, Balega is from SA and it means “to move with speed’ in Zulu. And the colours below the branding is the SA flag colours. Super cool socks. Made by Falke SA.
I love my Glideride max I’m at 184 I use them ever day on road and trails I had the glide mride max all caked up last time with red clay. It was raining.but still was getting it in on the trail
Bought a Nimbus 9 as lifestyle/walking shoe and it does very well for running as well. I used to run in them back in early 2000s. Super comfy, very light and that mesh upper is unmatched by today's shoes
It seems like now the brands introductory running shoes like the Nimbus, Ghost, and 880 are now being used and marketed as "lifestyle " running shoes which can be used as walking, working, running errands in shoes that you can also run in. Which is why they are the brands #1 running shoes because thry appeal to a broader consumer. For higher mileage runners "hobby joggers," they are now used as recovery shoes. The next step up in the brands, the Novablast, Glycerin, 1080 are now the true inroductory running shoes for higher mileage
my guy! i was thinking about your comments when i was reviewing this yesterday and how you mentioned you loved the softness of the 25 and were disappointed they firmed up the 26 for running. you're going to love this one
@@supwell Ha! Yeah. I was getting concerned all the brands were starting to reserve the soft cushioned shoes for the higher priced tier. This is great news.
This one looks like the best version so far. Is the upper flatter because part of the foot sits lower into the midsole? Therefore making it more stable? That’s what it seems like. Love the color-way too

The Nimbus 25 had a little resilience early on for me but, after 300+ miles and a couple of months wearing them at work, they're still soft but they're not giving anything back. The Superblast and the Deviate Nitro 2 have retained their responsiveness after taking as much or more beating (just passed 700 miles on the Deviate). For supplements, I take a B12 (because vegan) and now Iron, which has made me feel like I'm taking EPO. :) If you're not taking B12, I hope you're getting plenty of B12-fortified foods. Also, those biscuits looked so good.
The Nimbus 26 was effective and comfy until about the 400 mile mark. I used solely for slow runs and long walks. Great shoe overall. They do run hot in the summer time, Hopefully the 27 is more ventilated.
Bertucci's is still my favorite pizza joint. Closest thing to legit Neapolitan style pizza in the area. And this is an area with a lot of good pizza from regional chains down to mom and pop corner stores.

Thanks for your hard work man! I'm a heavier runner currently running with NB More V5 but I found it lacks response. Which one of Nimbus 27, Bondi 9 and Skyward X would you recommend in terms of comfy and some bounce? Appreciate 😊
Bondi 9 is the best blend of comfort and bounce from those. Nimbus is very comfortable but leans to the same soft and squishy side as the more v5. And skyward x is a super fun shoe but encourages you to pick up the pace a lot - bondi is like a tamer version of the skyward x that's better for relaxed miles. So if your number one priority is comfort I'd go bondi, and if you'd rather have a speedy shoe with bounce I'd go skyward x
i don't personally walk during runs but it is a great way to get more time on feet or build consistency. i train by feel so i ru as slow as needed for that day and if i'm not feeling it, i'll set a low mileage target for the day's run

rubber durability was solid for me across the 25 (~300 miles) and also the novablast 4. asics tends to have good rubber durability - with the soft foam here it's likely the midsole will lose its good qualities far before the rubber goes
