Hi everyone! If you enjoyed this video, please subscribe to my channel and click the "bell icon"! You can also support the channel by liking the video! Have a great day!
My brother is the same way. He loves talking about WW2, especially the tanks. I told him about your visit to the Swedish tank museum. We were only aware of the one in Germany.
The Swedish one is really cool and well worth visiting for their very unique collection of Swedish vehicles! The M42 is a beaut
Wishlisting this one. The graphic design and illustrations look awesome!
Oh yes, one of the most beautiful WW2 solo's I have had the pleassure of playing!
Good examination of the contents. It looks like an interesting game. I like the card play aspect of it. That has been a great innovation that is becoming more common. Thanks, as always, Daniel.
Cheers my friend!
👍🏻 nice video, waiting for the playthrough!
Thank you! Hopefully comming soon!
It looks like a great game. Looking forward to play the game. For me the colors are fine. Perhaps if the snow was whiter, the board would be too white.
Thx for sharing.
A beautiful game which is also fun to play! I hope to share a playthrough soon
This is my first war game in my current new hobby (solitaire war gaming) and discovered it via youtuber ZillaBlitz. I played my first game with my son who is 12 years old. He was the commander and I was the overlord rule manager and some logistics (I would move troops up and provide battle sounds). I've played a couple more times on my own and bought the audible book "The Longest Winter" by Alex Kershaw which much of this game is based (highly recommend). There is additional back story available from DVG in PDF format (or you can purchase it as a book). It's a great game and generates a feeling of "being there".
Great place to start with this hobby. One of my very first games were "Pavlov's House" which was the second game in the "Valiant Defense" series. I'd love to have a son to game with, so I'm jelous!!
@@WW2SolitaireBoardGameChannel Pavlov's house is on my list. I would like all of the "Valiant Defense" games. DVG does a really nice job.
Wow, the artwork on the cards and the map looks so amazing! I feel bad if the cards are so thin. I'd personally sleeve them anyways to protect them, but it kinda makes them more difficult to shuffle. Not horrible though.
Also, HOW DARE YOU MISPRONOUNCE SOMETHING!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Just kidding man!! I'm not sure about the history here, but I researched Soldiers in Postmen's uniforms after seeing your play through last year. I thought it was incredibly brave and an incredible historic event that I sadly wasn't familiar with.
I hope to see this in the future! Thanks for sharing!!
Beautiful indeed!! Yepp I'll sleeve those bad boys..
What, what did I mispronounce now? 😆 Jeez!!
@@WW2SolitaireBoardGameChannel Nah, I'm just Kidding! Gotta keep you on your toes!!!
@@wbridgeusmc You f***** 😆
@@WW2SolitaireBoardGameChannel 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I like the graphic design, it's good that the board is not glossy. But cards are very thin... All my games from this series are immediatelly sleeved otherwise I get mad when playing with those thin cards ;)
Yeah I noticed! Way to thin for my flavour. But were really the other games in the series the same?
@@WW2SolitaireBoardGameChannel I don't have this one yet. But for me the ones in Pavlov's House and Soldiers in Postmen Uniforms were super thin. I hope those are not thinner ;)
I'll have to check out card sleeves. I've seen other gamers use them. I'd imagine it would be harder to shuffle when sleeved but the quality would endure obviously.
This game looks awesome
Perfect Christmas game! Will probably do a playthrough soon
As a Belgian, I didn't know Lanzerath is situated in Belgium (now, not during the war, as Hitler annexed the German-speaking part of Belgium). Never too late to learn about your own country, I'd say. 🤨
I think that you are far from alone! That is the great thing with David Thompsons games, they educate and teach us important but forgotten parts of history.
