Oh man, what a cool idea to incorporate the audience! I won’t ask to be included, as I want to leave that for others. But I’m looking forward to the video. Thanks as always, my friend!
Added to the list of things to do! This will be on the backburner for a bit, though. But I have some ideas already. To be fair, it might have to be "top 5 wargaming maps... that I own". This will be fun to make, thinking already... :)
I've discovered only recently this channel and I'm amazed. Month ago I've purchased By stealth and sea and it was my first contact with war games (easy one:). Lanzerath ridge looks promising and I'm looking forward to get one copy. Hopefully it'll be available soon somewhere. Your videos are very informative with clear English I can understand well. Thank you and keep it up. 👍
Hi Christoffer! - It should get started this weekend, for sure. :) Unfortunately, the I&R platoon is filled to capacity at this point, but there will be other adventures to come. Thanks for offering though. :)
Looks an interesting game, but not available this side of the pond yet. I had just finished unboxing Undaunted and thought the counters looked familiar, David Thompson having a helping hand in both games. Looking forward to the play through. My wife has taken to purchasing games I hum and haw about, Undaunted, the two Panzer East Front Games & The American War of Independence Tri pack, bless her.
I think it's not quite available yet in the US, either, but probably very soon. And I wish your wife would teach my wife about this whole buying games thing. Sounds wonderful!
watching your videos is a serious exercise in financial restraint. This one I failed and I blame it on the map and the companion book. In short - I am sold!
Haha! Sorry it's lightened your wallet but I hope you enjoy the game! :) I've just started playing a first game today, so far so good and I feel like I have a lot to learn.
Welcome, all, and just a reminder that we're looking for 19 volunteers for the upcoming playthrough. The US Army Wants You! As I'm writing this, we've got about half our platoon filled, and it's first come first served to be fairest. Don't worry, you don't have to know anything about how to play the game, it's more that you'll appear in the videos as one of the I&R platoon soldiers. EDIT: All full! We have a full platoon of 19 volunteers now. Thank you to everyone who has jumped in to be a part! Here's the current list of volunteers: docs.google.com/document/d/1RMLb0J0hGB-HgueSLfYmpfnXbqyl6B0rK7uWzSDhMdg/edit?usp=sharing I'll update this until it's full. :)
I volounteer as tribute!! This is another one of those wargames I just find really interesting visually. I'm learning that I apparently just have to be pleased with a nice looking map and I'm so on board 😂Also Lile in-game :D
Hi Jon - I don't actually, I thought I heard the shipments had arrived, so maybe they are getting sent out to backers now/shortly, then available after that? I don't imagine it'll be long. :)
Another Dave Thompson masterpiece! I hope he makes millions so that he can quit his day job and produce more gaming goodness. Ape gives it three bananas, a circle and a snap. (I hope that reference isn't out dated)
@@ZillaBlitz I shot my buddy's M1 (carbine) when I was younger (left handed) and the ejected casing came back and landed in my shirt, singed to my neck. Have the scar to this day. Man did that hurt! So... keep it clean but also get one that ejects to the left if you are left handed. lol.
If room I volunteer... looking forward to this. Just call me Bennett... This one really interests me and after your By Stealth and Sea I bought the game...
Hi Cardboard Geek - Sorry, but it filled up this morning. I'll add your name to a short waiting list, but I don't expect the list to change to be honest. Maybe next time! And that's great that you bought By Stealth and Sea! I hope you enjoy it!
That's fine (I also ended up tracking down a copy of Silent Victory after watching your playthrough). As a big Sub fan I was wondering when you were doing more Sub games? I own both Gato and U Boat Leader and have been crewing with a friend on playthroughs of U Boot but realised from your videos that I wanted something that reflected glorious times playing Silent Service (by Microprose) when I was a teen. Keep up the good work.
I think the next sub game will be Raiders of the Deep, but I'm not quite sure when yet. I'm doing Save: South Vietnam now, then Lanzerath Ridge, maybe right after that? I'm also trying to produce playthroughs a bit more regularly as well.
@@ZillaBlitz brilliant. Look forward to them. Forgot to add on the Sub games list that I also have Nemo's War lol. Would love to see you do a playthrough of Castle Itter too btw...
Add my name to those of your "in game troops"... I am IVAN; your italian follower whom likes By stealth and Sea, and would like to see you do newer videos about Snowrunner, that you left behind a little bit...
Hi Ivan - Thanks for volunteering, but unfortunately all the 19 spots have already been taken. I'll put you on the waiting list, but to be honest I don't expect spots will open up! In any case, I hope you enjoy watching! And SnowRunner hasn't been abandoned, just got a little sidelined for a bit. Thanks for your patience! :)
For complexity? I'd put Advanced Squad Leader as one of the hardest I've seen, especially when you add vehicles. I was just looking at World at War, too, and that has a 198-page rulebook. Or... Campaign for North Africa. :)
Oh man, what a cool idea to incorporate the audience! I won’t ask to be included, as I want to leave that for others. But I’m looking forward to the video. Thanks as always, my friend!
Thanks! I'm going to feel so guilty when I lose some of us. :)
As a GIS and cartography professional, I'd LOVE to see a "top 5 wargame maps" episode!!!

Looking forward to my copy. David Thompson games are some of my favorites.
From what I've heard it should be fairly soon.

looking forward to the playthrough! :D
I want to be a part if I there is space left ^^

ooooo companion book. I LOVE those in the previous games. This one looks great!
This is well done, yes, really fills out the history behind the game with information, maps, images, etc. :)
Man what a beautiful game. looking forward to your play through.
I'm excited to get started, yes, and thanks for volunteering. I think I'm going to tag team between this and Save: South Vietnam. :)
@@ZillaBlitz Perfect, what a great way to finish the Summer. =)
Another good looking game mate and looking fwd to being apart.
I'm excited to see you driving the jeeps around! :)

I. forgot how we volunteered for these suicide missions. Count me in! Game name Joe.
Got it! You're in! To be honest, this might be more suicidal than riding torpedos underwater into British harbors.
You can add me if you wish to the willing combatants. Game name Rabinoff (Anzio, Peter Falk Character)
Nice, welcome to the platoon, coyi! You snagged the last spot! :) Rabinoff it is, nice choice!

Welcome aboard! Glad to have you! And yes, the power of map design and overall art really helps draw me into the game too. :)
This looks great! I'm confused about when a general release is coming though.
I assumed it would be on the DVG site, but you're right, I don't see it there. Perhaps they are filling Kickstarter orders and then after that?
Whenever the release date is, it isn't soon enough!
Private Zero ready for anything if there is a spot left!
Yep, 3 spots left, happy to have you with us!
Hi zilla how are you great video
Thanks, Ateeq! Good here, how are you?
@@ZillaBlitz good thanks nearly time for school

??
Name is Indiana most call me Indy, would love to make it in the play thru
Thanks for volunteering, you're in! Shovel and M1 and are in the mail. :)
I wanna be part of it Zilla
Welcome aboard! Trucks leave for Belgium in a few days. Thanks for volunteering. :)
You can use me if you like for the playthrough. Have the first 3 games so will definitely be buying this one.

Pvt Harte volunteering for the IRP, sir.
We'll need your experience, Pvt. Harte! And always good to see a Canadian mixed in with us! Diversity only makes us stronger. :)
