I just finished watching the documentary on Netflix. Loved it. Just made me smile. Such a positive and beautiful story. I wish them all the best. I hope they have many more years together...they weathered the toughest period anyone could go through.
If people are willing to be authentic and vulnerable, they will likely meet someone who will accept them. Love the story.
For being a documentary this is a legitimate true and authentic depiction of two people’s lives and circumstances that evolved into a deep relationship. Wow, what an amazing adventure and story! And that is a legit Asian POV of how different dynamics are of being Asian.

Khani, you remind me of a friend from highschool that had a bubbly, happy, silly personality as well, Her name was Silling Man. She got her life taken away too soon a couple years ago, but you remind me of what Silling could’ve been.

Watched this on netflix and its so special ive rewatched it. Lifes not perfect, but their laughs and positivity draws u in. I hope they are doin well, together or not. Thank yall for sharing such personal info. And its been three years since covid began, but i cant help but wonder why they didnt drive back to the states. Surely they could have discussed it with border patrol in person, maybe showing up several days to dispute it. I dont know much about it, but was that an option? Either way, its an inspiring story to laugh when life is challenging.
