This closeup of your felt piano feels very intimate. Great improv!! The middle part feels enchanting. I really love that lush Abmaj to Dbmaj to Dmin. I think I've used a similar progression in one of my improvs!. It works so well with all the ninths and common tones. I can see you went for an improv built around the use of (stacked) fifths. :)
Thank you 🙏🏼 Great feedback and you’re so right about everything. I try to be blank before starting an improvisation, but usually that means choosing some kind of concept or feeling(they go hand in hand) the second before pressing the first key and then follow the path 🤔🙂
This is an ordinary acoustic piano, no audio or midi connections. It’s recorded with two microphones into a Volt soundcard, straight into the ”camera” app on an iphone 11.
