- Hello everyone! I wanted to talk a little about our negative chatter that goes on in the minds of recovering drug addicts. Hopefully, this will help us all focus more on the positive and less on the negative. I love you all and TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF.
Yup. I am the king of the negative mind talk. I’m aware of it though, and I know they’re mostly false thoughts. I think many people have this, especially those of who have neurotic tendencies. Great channel, wish you the best and love cute brown eyes you have. Remind me of a Greek girl!
Thank you
Thank you for making this video. You have been inspiring me to stay on point :) I really do hope you make more videos, I can relate with everything you said. When I get those negative thoughts I need to leave the house, go for a walk or go to the park. It sounds so simple but it makes me feel better.
Thank you so much for your kind words. They mean everything to me. Take care and keep up. I am definitely going to put going to the park on my list. Thanks!
Just found your videos. I was put on adderal 10 years ago for postpartum type issues. I was taking 25 mg once a day. Ten years later I take 70 mg of. Vyvance a day. I refuse to take a higher dosage. I have an appointment in two months to talk with doctor about stopping cold turkey. Due to not upping my dosage I have supplemented with alcohol to keep my issues aside. I am for sure scared out of my mind to stop. Your videos help me to see that my symptoms when I have gone with out are not alone. I went 48 hours without it once slept for 18 hours and had night terrors the whole time. Only woke up because someone made me. I have decided to stop all addictions as my husband and I would like to get pregnant. But I refuse to try with any of this in my system. Thank you for the video
You should be proud of yourself for not going higher on your dose. At one point, I was taking both Vyvance and short term adderall. I'm surprised I never had a heart attack! If you are able to join an inpatient program, I would recommend it. It really does allow you to focus on yourself and rest while coming of the drug. Also, there are usually nurses there to make sure you are physically ok as well. Please, keep us updated on you.
I will be going to a program. The appointment I have in two months is to get all that squared away. I will keep you posted
So the doctor has placed me on a antidepressant and Deplin and is lowering the dose little at a time. So far so good
Thanks for making this video
5 days now with no stimulants. I’ve been used to using Modafinal, Ritalin, dextramphetamine, Wellbutrin over a period of 3 years. All the same.. Over time it leads to a point where it no longer works. Dependence and fatigue even when used as prescribed with days off. Eat and sleep, heavy body right now. Everything she says is true
Stimulants
Hey there. Hope you get to feeling better soon.
