I know it's been said many times, but Justin's knowledge of all the nooks and crannies of specific match-ups and character interactions in this game is incredibly impressive. Such a great resource for the beginners and high-level players in the community.
I've been watching MVC2 team clock play (both the main himself, and other people using the team) ever since Preppy/zachd had a video archive site. Played it myself, consumed all the team specific tech videoes I could find, watched every tournament appearance of a team clock player religiously. Locdown is by far the best user of the team I've ever seen. His Sentinel is among the best of any sent player, considering he often has to play Sent V Sent with the other guy having Cyclops or Commando, and still comes out ahead more often than not. His Strider seamlessly implements tech that used to sound good on paper but was hard to implement in real matches, and his conversions off Doom assist hits into full combos are great. It's a lot of damage other team clock players usually forgo, in favor of going straight back into trap loops, which definitely isn't nearly as meter efficient When other players playing team clock have doom on point, they'll often run away with SJ finger lasers and switch back into sent/strider as fast as possible, but Locdown seems very comfortable having Doom point and will actively look for combos, which I find very ballsy The only thing he doesn't really do that I can think of is throw resets with Strider, but the rest of his gameplay is so sick I have to assume it's intentional. You're doing Clockw0rk proud, Locdown.
Yeah locdowns conversions with this team are truly something else. It's pretty easy to think that team clock's only wincon is strider doom chip but loc shows just how versatile this team can be.
I enjoyed watching Clockwork back in the day. I always rooted for him. With that said Locdown from my surface level knowledge and watching he makes great use of the zoo compared to what I have seen from other players.

at 4:55 justin's talking about how cable takes more blockstun than a lot of other characters but its actually a weirder mechanic called guard stiffness. When blockstun ends a character stays in the blocking animation for a variable amount of frames depending on the character, but this state can be interrupted by performing a special, super, jump, or superjump, but not by walking or dashing. iirc this post block guard stiffness state isn't throwable, which is why cable feels harder to tick throw as he has 25f of guard stiffness post block, where he can't be thrown but is able to jump/ superjump etc.
Probably my favorite thing about this is just the way jwongg commentates. I feel like every time I hear him speak he has something useful to say, or he just straight up smack talks sometimes. Just having him commentate is always a joy.
The fact that BB Hood can use her standing MK twice to chain into a triple team is super is insane. Ha ha. I was just commenting about the old school nuke squad... Ironman, Juggernaut and BB Hood then blame... someone showcases them in the vid.
Damn, so Locdown took out some of East Coast’s finest in SmoothViper, Mike Infinite, Josh360, and Gconceptz in the last two tournaments?! WOW!! West Coast stand up 🫡
These tournaments are so fun to watch with Justin commentating and several players using interesting teams with iron man, strider, juggernaught, etc. A lot more fun to root for the underdog in this game since MSP etc. are so strong
The intricacies he knows about this game is insane and highly entertaining. He's like the equivalent of some Japanese master chef that's been cooking for 60 years, and even just watching him cut onions is amazing.
Idk I don't think they're aware that there are separate tournaments for mid-low tier. Complaining about people playing to win in a regular tournament is silly
@@belinskiparadox7687 Also spoiled by patch culture. Their minds can't comprehend that a 24 year old game has definitive tiers. Low tier tourneys can be fun but nothing compares to optimized top tiers going ham.

First Attack glitch. If you switch to your assist character when you start the match, and you hold down a button, they will attack during the first possible frame. Mega Man, Shuma-Gorath and Magneto have the fastest Light Punches in the game, so you'll almost always see teams with them use this. Magneto is top tier so get used to 2 Magnetos chest bumping each other at round start.
@@IvanRevi I love Mahvel, I love mid/low tier and ratio fights, or hell, anything but the same 4-6 characters in an entire top 8 at highest level play. The idea that preferring varies and skilled play is hating Marvel 2 is kinda an absurd suggestion you know.

The Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection games looks fun, but the game was rushed. And here is why: the game does not keep track of how many times you win and lose online matches and the game does not keep track of how many times you have beaten The Punisher beat'em up. The game only keeps track of your scores and rankings and nothing else.
