Sifan Hassan was my big one. The whole women's marathon was truly an extraordinary race, and the way it shook out in the end was thrilling.
Femke Bol running in the relay
Raygun is the #1 athlete of the Olympics by far!
Without a doubt, #1 has to be Rachael 'Raygun' Gunn. The fact that she literally lead to breaking being excluded from next Olympics is a testament to her 'talents' 🤣
They had already previously decided that they wouldn't bring breaking to the 2028 olympics.
Australia definitely sent her there to troll this being a “sport”. 😂
@@celieboo No, stop spreading false information. It was her performance that lead to that decision.
@@Mos41f Source?
@@mickeycoolmouse It's all over the internet, you can look it up.
Mathias Gidsel for the Denmark mens handball team broke the record for most goals in an olympic tournament! He was named the MVP and helped Denmark to sweep the tournament in a historical dominant fashion!
Missed the clean sheet on BMX racing men for France!!!
You forgot Stephen Nodec pommel Horse Guy
Here's an idea for a future video if you're interested: *Top ten weirdly good RUclips animations. Basically RUclips videos that are...questionable, but have admittedly good animations.*
Steve Curry with 3 pointers in men basketball finals.
Dame Lisa Carrington winning 3 golds for NZ? The Butcher? Lydia Ko winning her Gold to complete the set? The continuing epic record of the NZ womens sevens team?
They mentioned the US team coming third. Apparently that was the highlight in Womens sevens.
I was wondering about this myself...
But hey, our country was eliminated on the Olympic Games World map. France are such sore losers when it comes to rugby.😉🇳🇿
I see a case for Carrington.
How is Djokovic so low
Djokovic outside the top ten against a bunch of lesser known names you will not hear for four years? ok watch mojo
Great video. My favorite moments and athletes: Mondo Du Plantis, Kelly Hodgington, Novak Djokovic and The Turkish shooter who was so viral in the games. By the way, if you like video games, I'm creating one inspired in the Olympics.
Cole hocker deserves a mention
Everyone’s going to complain about their favorite athlete being left out - and yeah, I can see cases for Hocker, Carrington, SML, Curry, Amit Elor, several Chinese divers and table tennis players, Gabby Thomas, Keegan Palmer, Woojin Kim and Teddy Riner, but I didn’t see a single person on this list who isn’t also an extraordinary candidate for it.
ABSOLUTELY. There are too many great athletes to name on one short list. @christofferrossing6298 highlighted Norwegian athletes without any negativity. So, it can be done.
Mijain Lopez - Cuba, look him up. We may never see an athlete with that level of dominance again. First 5-time Olympic Gold medalist in any sport and you failed to mention him.
Harrie Lavreysen, the legend of the inside cycling track
Gershuon Yabusele belongs on this list for dunking on LeBron lol
Femke Bol too
where is mijain lopez from Cuba
I know Wrestling doesn't get the love. 41 year old 5 golds Cuban Wrestler and retired on the spot. Also 5 time gold medalist American Skeet shooter. 5 golds in 6 Olympics. my Honorable mention would be the German Equestrian rider who has won gold medals from the 1992 olympics several in between and another this time around. 14 medals 8 golds for her.
@@GlennTheSadMarinersFan and the german that managed to win medals in both summer and winter games, also just 2 years apart (silver in woman's 2 bobsleigh and bronze in Paris with the woman's 4x100 m relay).
Teddy Riner needed to be on there
Am I just dreaming or did WatchMojo manage to list the top 20 athletes with literally ZERO Chinese athletes in it? (only one "honorable mention at the end")
I would put Marchand at #1 ahead of Simone Biles. He's literally THE face for the entire nation of France for this Olympics and he won 4 individual gold medals vs Simone's 2 individual gold medals. He's also a fresh face for the Olympics and this is her 3rd Olympics.
this happens every Olympics some swimmer gets like 5 gold medals because they have so many events and they are like 100m-200m super easy to recover from.
Lyles NOT having a clear win in the 100m and getting 3rd in his primary race, the 200m was shocking. I wouldn't describe it as his best performance. He was also, like other athletes sick or not feeling his best! Much of the world expected a different result. I was impressed with the winners from St. Lucia and Botswana!
5:15: Arshad Nadeem
11:25: Yusuf Dikeć
you forget pan zhanle he really a hot topic during the 100 meter free style swimming ,he also broke his on world record too and quan hongchan for such a cealn diving at her age of 17
The pommel horse guy?
Leon Marchand literally won 2 golds in the same night, not even Lord Phelps tried that🤯
And not even a mention about his 4 olympic records.
Where's Mijan Lopez from Cuba, who won the 5th consecutive golden medal in wrestling? He is the greatest in this Olympic version.
Teddy Riner?
they forgot to add carlos yulo. he had like one of the best storyline comebacks and being also the gold medalist of the Phiilipines, his mom used to disown him and routed for japan instead but carlos proved his mom wrong, His storyline felt like a movie.
He may not be mentioned here, but in our nation, no one will forget the incredible performance of 2x Olympic Gold medalist Carlos Yulo. 🥇🥇
A 17-year-old from Canada winning all those medals, that's iconic right there. I was still trying to get my high school diploma and stay out of jail
Steph freaking Curry. I was not a fan at all of his game until these Olympics
lol how? Do you watch basketball?
@@knightlife22 yeah I used to hate Steph curry
Yeah, they are trolling me. They put Victor Wembanyama (who is good, don't get me wrong) in this list instead of Steph. Come on, stop playing
REBECA And SIMONE were the most famous atlhetes in Paris❤❤
i wish they feature Carlos Yulo, a two time gold medalist for his floor exercise and vault in men's gymnastic who hails from the Philippines!!!!
Novak Djokovic. The Greatest Serbian Tennis Player Ever Notches His First Summer Olympics Gold Medal In The Men's Tennis Tournament Of The Paris 2024 Summer Olympics.
Boring
Greatest tennis player ever.
Cole Hocker's 1500m win deserved to be on this list. With all the hype about 2 other guys, Cole's win was golden.
Suni Lee was back at the Olympics after battling two kidney diseases! She will always be our champion here in St. Paul!!!!!
3 Olympics golds at 17 is just unbelievablely insane to say the least appsalutly incredible.
Summer McIntosh. The Youngest Summer Olympics Canadian Swimmer At Age 17 With 3 Gold Medals During The Paris 2024 Summer Olympics.
Most individual golds of any female athlete.
@@joenerad3328Indeed!
And was named co-flag bearer for Canada for the Closing Ceremonies. Likely one of the youngest flag bearers in both ceremonies.
@@grahamdamberger7130Okay!
Yo that was the most insane part of this whole thing not showing a Canadian.
Sha'Carri Richardson is the only reason i started to watch the olympics. The entire USA Womens Track and Field squad was simply amazing.
Sarah Sjöström winning both of the short track disciplines in freestyle swimming should be the equivalent of winning both the 100m. and 200m. sprint disciplines in track and field. I think it's noteworthy enough to be mentioned
What about tedi rinner?!
we all have our personal best no. 1 leon marchand. no.2 thomas ceccon. n.3 summer, no. 4 fzd 5. cao yuan, 6. simone biles, 7. evenepole 8 duplantis 9. nole 10 quan hongchan 11. yee 12. beuagrand 13. nadeem 14. nole 15 titmus 16 ledecky 17 mollie 18 kaylee mckeown (no mention of pan) 19. all of the above

Botswana letshogo won gold for the first time in 🎉Africa
Mijain Lopez, the most important record in olympic history : winning 5 olympic golds consecutively in the same individual event (the only athlete to accomplish the feat, male or female, summer or winter)
Simone Biles rules!!!
Missed Steph Curry. He was incredible in the semi-final and final of men's basketball.
Nikola Jokića led the whole Olympics in points, assissts and rebounds, barely losing against the team USA and the refs in the semi finals. Yet Wemby made the list, who was carried to the finals by the benevolent host of the Olympics. Oh well.
stfu😊
What about legendary Cuban wrestler MIJAIN LOPEZ who won his 5th Olympic gold at the age of 41!!!!!!.
You forgot several unforgettable athletes. You forgot Mijain Lopez, the first Olympic athlete to win 5 gold medals in a row for the same event (130k wrestling) and then retired after his gold-winning bout. You missed Ilona Maher, the woman who has become the face of women's rugby and has amassed a huge following on social media. You missed Sam Watson, an 18-year old speed climber who broke the world record twice during the Olympics (a record he set earlier in the year by the way). You missed Raygun, who is one of the most unforgettable Olympian personalities in decades. You missed Stephen Nedoroscik who came in for one event and lifted his team to a medal. There were so many incredible athletes that truly shone in Paris.
Yusuf dikec , was the best and mldt talked peron in 2024 history
Skateboarding has been in the Olympics since 2021 and Keegan Bradley won both Gold Medals he deserves a spot but Simone Biles is a worthy number 1
Native Frenchman Teddy Rimer also had a Great Performance in Men's Judo.
Arshad Nadeem broken 1.5 billon hearts, he truely deserved to be in the list
The American bias again with Simone Biles being at #1.
Watch mojo is based in Canada tho
The GOAT returning from a horrific experience in the last Olympics - boring, right?

Double Gold (Men's and Women's) Hammer Throwing wins for Canada courtesy of Ethan Katzberg and Camryn Rogers. Until these games, Canada's best finish in Hammer Throw was a silver medal over a century ago.
There was a lot of history made for the country of Canada at these games and I couldn't be prouder of the athletes that went over to compete.
