Since I didn’t have a PC I never got to use the soul traps so this is my education, wasn’t sure if this mod was an exact copy of the soul traps but thanks so much now I don’t have to build a bunch of ACs for my rock drake mutations
Yes. add: TerminalEggSearchRequiresOviraptor=False. Restart server. After that go into the terminal and make sure you check Fertilized egg searching, optionally you can also do Egg incubation. This will incubate the eggs to 1% so the will hatch right when you toss them out. If you do not want to add the above ini you can also dino ball a oviraptor and place it in the terminal. That also works. But with the ini setting that is not required. Let me know if you have any other questions =)
I am sorry. I dont get notified it seems of replies to comments. As far as consoles go. I would assume this would still be handled on the server in the same way. Now if you are playing on single player on a console I do not have that answer as I do not use a console. I would suggest going to the mod page and joining the discord for more help on this. Thanks!
Hello, I do not use Nitrado personally. But you should be able to edit the gameusersettings.ini file on there service. The specifics for this I can't really guide you as I do not use them. But I do suggest the first step is to shutdown the server, edit the files and then restart. If you are doing custom passive production I do believe you will need a remote location to setup a json file. You can use the google docs generator to give you the code to put in that file. Go here: www.curseforge.com/ark-survival-ascended/mods/dino-depot. From this scroll down to configuration and click on the google docs link. In that file you will find the PassiveProductionConfig setting. It also has another link to a google docs generator for making your config file. Once you have that you need a remote location to host that file and put the url in the setting in the gameusersettings.ini. This is a bit more technical but you can use something like pastebin to host it and get the URL from it. I would suggest jumping in the discord for Dino Depot (Also on the mod page) as I am not the dev. But they are very helpful and I am sure many people are using Nitrado and might be able to help you a bit more.
Not that I am aware of. You can of course turn off baby capture. But I think it is required to claim them to cryo them. You can however kill them in the terminal and it does give xp. What I tend to do if I need to get resources from them is just let the terminal pickup the fertilized eggs and incubate them. I will then toss them out and they hatch right away. And then use a Dino to dispatch them. Did that a lot with gigas for leveling up my Rex army. Hope this helps. Thanks!
Two ways. Either put a oviraptor in the terminal or add TerminalEggSearchRequiresOviraptor=False to your gameusersettings.ini in the section for dino depot. Once that is done you need to turn on fertilized egg searching in the terminal. This should then pickup the eggs.
you would need to add the following ini config into your gameusersettings.ini BabiesImprintInDinoBall=False. My file is located at C:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\ARK Survival Ascended\ShooterGame\Saved\Config\Windows however this can be different based on config. If you are using steam you can go to the game and click the gear icon and browse files. It is in the folder ShooterGame. I do not know on gamepass version if that changes or not. You can find a list of ini settings for this mod on the mod page down towards the bottom is a link to a google doc. Keep in mind I am not the dev so if you have any other questions I do suggest joining the Dino Depot discord. They are very helpful and have helped me several times fix little issues.

After that go into the terminal and make sure you check Fertilized egg searching, optionally you can also do Egg incubation. This will incubate the eggs to 1% so the will hatch right when you toss them out. By default I do not believe this is enabled without a oviraptor added.
Not that I am aware. It can incubate them down to zero so they will hatch as soon as you drop them. But you can just use a AC unit and have auto capture on. This will basically be fully automated as the terminal will auto capture the hatched eggs and store them in the terminal. Just have to make sure it does not fill up and you have enough of the dino balls. Thanks for the comment.
It really is a preference. It is much more than just cryo pods. It’s a whole system for storing, breeding etc. so it is hard to compare. That being said I quit using cryo pods long ago and have never looked back.
For the custom production you need to save the file to a web server basically and then put the url in your ini for it to be pulled and loaded. You can use something like pastebin.com/ to save the file and should be able to get a URL to use in your ini.
you will need to add the following ini (gameusersettings.ini) entries under the Dino Depot section and restart the server: BabiesAgeInDinoball=False BabiesImprintInDinoBall=False Hope this helps =)
As far as I know only admin can capture wild dinos. However I have even disabled that as well. I am not sure if a function exists for non admins to capture wild dinos.
Only if you are logged in as a admin on the server and have not put the following ini setting in: AdminBypassWildCapture=False. It defaults to True. This might also be the case on single player. I have not tested. I recently discovered it myself when I was trying to tame a new dino that requires a gun that looks very much like the digitizer. I shot it and captured it. After looking I found out why and added the following to my config. It now does not work.
@@GarlicHeadJoe Ok, cuz I just installed it an hour ago after watching your vid since I always wanted to play Dino storage but none of the engrams show up for it and I have the mod activated 🫤

@@GarlicHeadJoeThanks for the tip man and they were very helpful. Sadly, the feature of not letting the terminal imprint isn’t available as of console for now but nonetheless Ima still use it and once they add it in eventually it is mutation time baby 😎

Carch's are even better than giga's for XP now. Awesome vid bro.
Does it pick up the fertilized eggs once the Dino’s breed?
Do babies grow up and imprint to 100% by themselves when captured ?
what dinos passive generate the listed materials ??
one more question is their an ini setting just to capture eggs like your giga eggs
Yes. add: TerminalEggSearchRequiresOviraptor=False. Restart server. After that go into the terminal and make sure you check Fertilized egg searching, optionally you can also do Egg incubation. can you make it so the terminal doesnt require power for anything?
Hi, random question. Does anyone know if you can use the Dino Depot balls in the Tek cave? That would reduce stress getting them through the door. 🤗
Hello, I truly do not know. I will have to test that out because you are right. It would be a game changer on that.
how can i edit the mod configs for the passive production through nitrado server?

U can edit ur server ini by going to web interface then in settings the will be config or somthing like that ans thats where ur ini is
Is there a way to have the terminal not claim the bbs. Its really annoying to have to u unclaim each Dino to Eaither kill for xp or resources

Is this worth downloading on console bc cryro pods can’t open anywhere without fridge
This is not cryopods. It has its own rules and does not require a fridge.

you will need to add the following ini (gameusersettings.ini) entries under the Dino Depot section and restart the server:
BabiesAgeInDinoball=False
BabiesImprintInDinoBall=False
Hope this helps =)
@@GarlicHeadJoe thx worked:)
Can you make them hatch in the terminal automatically? So breeding can become fully automated
How do you reload the gun it says no ammo with the Dino balls
You need to craft Dino balls in your inventory. So you will need crystal and then have empty ones in your inventory.
@@GarlicHeadJoe I do have 10
I have seen it glitch and say it has none but it works. Have you tried to use it even know it says zero?
@@GarlicHeadJoeI tried using it but it says no ammo so I just use the Dino ball by hand
Just to verify you are using the dino digitizer? They should have two types. One is listed as a prototype. Have you tried both of them?
