I said this was most likely the biggest mismatch on the card! Daniel is a monster, he treated this like a table training session. Corey is not weak by any means for his weight either, Daniel is just another level.

Classic Daniel. Holding, smiling, love the guy. In likeable athletes of the sport, I'd put him somewhere with Chaffee, Kodi, (what an awesome guy), Janis, Ray Liepins, just under Brzenk. Especially with his power-to-weight ratio.

@@Ethernet480 Again nothing to whacky he setup to catch a fast top roll on his bicep rather than coming forward to comit shoulder, he also has his arm more extended to get a better purchase on Corey's hand. Then after round one he realised he was so far superior strength wise he could what ever he wanted and let Corey miller attack while he just cupped in a defensive hook.
i definitely see that and get having something in the setup like that after you realize (2nd round+) how the match is going to go…unless you truly believe you’re just going to out cup and pronate your opponent. While Corey definitely has a goto move, he doesn’t completely lack versatility. I get what you’re saying though…Just looked funny to me is all…and it’s hard to find bizarre setups after spending 18 years in the sport. Cheers 🍻

just like i thought, this match was a complete mismatch. procopciuc should be facing the lightweight elite. Kinda feel bad for corey here, and his reputation (because he caught john brzenk off guard with an near flash pin) is unfortunately greater than his actual ability. he's probably better as a tournament puller due to his speed/explosiveness where's emil amirshadayan? would love to seem him left hand vs procopciuc. though i think his endurance may hold him back in super match formats.
