- On this overloading trip we are in the high alpine looking for an abandoned jade mine. The snow is wet and over 3 ft deep. It's a challenging fight every inch of the way. Our jeeps are pushed to the limits along with our recovery gear. It's a race against nightfall to get out.

I had no idea we broke the alpine cherry on this run brother! That’s awesome! Super fun (but hard) adventure! Our favorite kind. Well get up into them proper open alpine when you come back in a few weeks and the snow is gone. I’ve been back up there 3 times since and were only weeks away from alpine bliss. Can’t wait for our alpine redemption 🤘

Just finished the rest. For what it’s worth I really enjoyed the pov section during the recovery even though it’s not your usual cinematic style. It really put into context big of a mess that was and how much elbow grease you put in to get me out! Thanks again homie! Great video! 🤘

Snow wheeling is so fun. Plus, it’s just beautiful. BUT. As this video correctly shows, 1) deep snow can be a hassle, and 2) if it’s the wet, slushy kind, it can be an extremely formidable opponent. Also, Kyle’s Rubi is a diesel!? I don’t think we got that option down here in the states. I could be wrong though, too. We never get the cool stuff! 😂 And no, I’m not a Jeeper too, in case you were wondering. I have an ‘01 Xterra, that’s stock that I wheel, and an ‘86 Toyota pickup that’s a project truck. Gonna stretch the backhalf, flatbed it, maybe do 35’s under it, and at least solid axle swap the front. And if I get REAL CRAZY, I’m gonna 4-link both ends of it! Haha.
