SeaBees on Deployment

Command Master Chief Jason Holden, Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 4, talks about the mission his Sailors are executing while deployed to the 7th Fleet area of responsibility. NMCB 4 recently deployed to Okinawa as the forward deployed NMCB, ready to support Major Combat Operations, Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief operations. They provide general engineering and civil support to Navy, Marine Corps and joint operational forces. Homeported out of Port Hueneme, Calif., NMCB 4 has 10 detached sites deployed throughout the United States and Western Pacific area of operations. Good to see the young men and women busy at their job. Missed the battalion life. Retired 2001 as AOIC of CBU-405, North Island San Diego. Been with NMCB 4 three times, twice with NMCB 5, NMCB 7 and ACB ONE. Thanks for sharing this channel and before i forget, my dad and I were in NMCB 4 together and earned our Chief's Anchor, different year with the same battalion. God bless

NMCB 4 was my old Alma Mater. I was with this Battalion 3 times in my 30 years with the Seabees. If had a chance to do it again, I would. Missed the brotherhood of the Chief's community. I was the Alfa 5 when we were called upon to clean up Subic base after Mount Pinatubo, one of the most memorable experience with NMCB 4. I'm happy and proud to see this Battalion doing an outstanding job in Atlantic and Pacific AOR. God bless the Seabees

What years were you in 4? I was with them from 87-89. Deployed to Puerto Rico and last deployment to Adak. (Was fortunate to have split sea Dufy tours )
