Can you explain the role of Mg in Hypercalcemia? I know that PTH stimulates the renal reabsorption of Mg, but that action is inhibited by Hypercalcemia...which is where I am confused. And that we must correct levels of Mg first in the case of Hypercalcemia.

I was diagnosed with Sailolithsis after 5 yrs of swelling then my gland was removed due to size never decreased and showed precancerous qualities.. After surgey i get lyme 6 months later i see neck surgeon and tell him my other side is messing up now and he says get my parathyroid checked. I did and it comes back high calcuim and a bunch of stuff i dont understand.. my question is complex due to the tick bite after surgery and the relationship between hypercalcemia vs tick bite vs parathyroid. 🤔
