I loved this song when I first heard it, a few years ago. I requested a shout out for mine and hubby's anniversary the other day and this is what he sang for us. Very unexpected, but completely appreciated. Almost as if he knew us.

Guren302 the song is literally talking about my the "world is crazy" or in almost near destruction with all the war, racism and laws that bound up religion and as he sings that also with the "worlds followers"-or people that fall with its destruction.francois speaks also that he needs help on the creator as he himself maybe fallen on the worlds failures or fears and he thanks God and wishes the Creator stays just as he is forever as only the creator is the true way to life and that's the meaning of the song really 🇿🇦🙌🙏👏

@@bobthebuilder4692 Your overall message is correct, but he doesn't sing about a creator. When he mentions being saved, he sings about his child. You can still interpret it as if the song is about a creator though, if it speaks to you like that then it's fine. That's the amazing thing about good art. There is no single correct answer.
@Guren302, It's definitely about people and about us. If you meet him in person you will understand why I'm saying this. He has always been rebellious, but he always loved people.
@@Kazeshini25663 Very true. Francois also questions religion a lot. Especially in his early albums. As most of us South Africans do. For most of us, our older generation (specifically whites) was pretty big on Christianity. Its pretty much part of our DNA. The younger generation is the first to essentially question religion, follow a different religion or to not partake in any of it.
I will not say that Francois is against religion. Especially now that he is not a teen/young adult anymore. Just that he and we live in a more free thinking community, where having no religion, or not partaking in it on a daily basis does not makes us outcasts
Thus I also thing the song rotates more to "about people and about us". But as mentioned. Songs can be interpreted in anyway. As long as you enjoy it and the meaning you get from it.
