    Awesome saved my life 😂 I have two pins on the ecu connector that I think I damaged by sticking skinny meter probe into it. I should be able to fix it now 👍

    Thank you for including removal and separation of the ECM connector plastic housing. That’s all I needed for now. All within 4 minutes. But I’m saving this video to Electric Diag for future reference. 👍🏼
    Where can we find replacement ECU and other sensor/component connector pins?

    Great tutorial. I have been attempting to remove pins from a Lexus Anti Skid ECU, and pretty much have butchered the connector trying. What you are showing here for removing the pins from the ECM seems almost what i need to do with this ECU. Any assistance you can provide would be appreciated!

      Hi there, I wish I had that car right now to make a video for you, sorry that I don't. Normally when I want to remove any pin, first I try to locate the locking tabs and anything involved. Then I select the best tool for that. There is another video explaining how to remove the pins from several connectors, that might be helpful too:

      Hi there, in this video I only used a precision screwdriver as it was a good fit for this connector, but you can get a pin removal tool set as well.

    If a wire won't latch into the connector, is there any way to fix the connector or do you need a new one?

    • @AutomotiveDiagnosis
      @AutomotiveDiagnosis  3 месяца назад +2

      Hi there, I’ve had this problem before. The best way is to replace the connector if you have it. But when I couldn’t find the connector, I grab a very small zip tie and tie the wire (that won’t latch) to the next wire. By doing this we actually use one locking tab to hold two wires.

      Hi there, sorry that I don’t have the connector right now to make a video, but if you check the other video from the link below you might get some ideas as I described many different connectors there (it helps even if it’s not exactly your connector):

    • @AutomotiveDiagnosis
      @AutomotiveDiagnosis  Год назад

      Thanks. Yes. it is actually very easy. The only important thing is to make sure that pin is inserted in a correct orientation to be locked by the locking tab. You can also watch the following video which shows how to remove and install the pins from multiple connectors:
