As a Brit I find it heartening that NMS and LNF come from a little town down south. Just a small handful of developers that work near a pub. It's just so cute.
When you use a mount (animal) to traverse the 'EARTH' world, instead of an Interceptor (with boost), you'll REALLY feel the scope.
Hoping to see some good utility magic. Teleportation, limited flying, etc. Magic to support on foot travel essentially.
Yes! Hopefully cool little canoes or kayaks to travel along the really pretty bodies of water. 🚣
Yeah. Ships in NMS are impressively fast. They don't feel that fast while flying them but a friend of mine did a 3000u flyby at a low orbit base and damn that was fast... Like, 'faster than real fighter jets' fast.
@@Linus_B Units in NMS are metres, so 3000 m/s is indeed crazy fast, its around mach 8 indeed faster than fighter jets
@@IsaacESFR Wow, I didn’t know that!. Makes the ships feel like truly advanced tech out of this world. Love it.
I watched the Sean Murray interview on stage at the Game Awards twice before and didn't notice his t-shirt design until this video.
Over 11M views on the LNF trailer now!
Worth noting that "bigger than Earth" may just mean "more land area to explore". Mars has about the same land area as Earth despite being a much smaller world. Seas and oceans cover nearly 3/4 of our planet. An "Earth-sized" planet with modestly sized seas could easily have twice the land area of Earth. That's a lot of procedural landscape. Of course, these days we expect "landscape" to include aquatic environments too.
im so happy for this little studio, beating out the big guys like this with their trailer. so glad to have been on this journey with them.
also tbf sean did say you could meet your friends in an interview, which isnt like "real" or "direct" marketing exactly, but when it comes out of the lead guys mouth it kinda sounds official yknow, plus leading up to launch he was kinda more vague about it
I love the idea of not being the main character. Being the main character makes you picture what you should look like as the "savior" of the game. This causes you to play the game is a hero, making morally sound decisions or the polar opposite. Whereas when you're just another person, you tend to treat quests, environments, and NPCs more like you would if you were to encounter them in real life.
When it comes to LNF, my message to Hello Games is "take my money already".
I for one expect the first year (or so) of LNF to be plagued by bugs and quality of life issues. I don't care, I am certain they will fix problems as they arise. Do I want content channels covering LNF? Absolutely. This channel especially.
Ikr!!!! I cant friking wait😂😂
I gotta say, you make the best No Mans Sky content out on the platform right now. I hope you keep making content for years to come!
I really hope we actually get to customize ships in NMS, with parts we either buy or salvage from ships
I think Light No Fire is just an alternate iteration of the Atlas. Think about it. That big structure in the trailer looks sort of like a Korvax and don't get me started on the red orb on top of the 3D upside down Galactic Federation symbol. (idk how to describe that shape) I don't think HG wants to do like an MCU sort of thing, (HGU) I think it's sort of like: What if NMS was a fantasy game. Just a thought
Also idk why but the hand reminds me of the First Spawn Debris
What i find interesting is that the Voyager Expedition goes for 9 days instead of the 7 days the others take.Maybe its just because its harder or something. But i could imagine that we get something at the 10. January.
I will preorder as soon as it's available. Anyone that continues to talk about the NMS launch as a reason to doubt LNF just needs to get over it.
Feedback: I much prefer the edited and scripted videos. Mainly because they allow the content to have less fluff, more meat, and better quality. Which is a main factor in how I choose who to subscribe to.
But im just one person's opinion, and your content has been good so far bro!
One thing that I haven’t seen anyone mention about light no fire is that it appears that they are choosing not to cater to the older systems, PS4, etc. That gives them a leg up to be able to create things that are far more complicated and in depth. I could obviously be completely wrong, but if you let go of needing to maintain those types of platforms, I think it opens up a much wider world. That is really exciting!
If think part of the reason the LNF trailer has been doing so well is because of the phenomenon that is palworld. It's really opened up the survival genre to people that hadn't realized there can be so much more to survival games
I think something to keep in mind is that Sean Murray is still not a salesman (I really dont understand why they dont have a PR guy yet), and I just wouldn't look too deep into his words. I do think he has probably learned from his experiences with NMS, but in the end I think we should just be responsible with how we respond to his claims. I am fully on the hype train for this game, because NMS has shown me that HelloGames and Sean are much better than your average videogame company. But also, I am just letting this game be what it ends up being. Right now I am just expecting fantasy NMS with lite RPG elements.
You're great man. Love your stuff.
I'm thinking it'll be NEXT Christmas at the earliest.
I think next Fall is a reasonable guess. With E3 gone, I wonder if we'll see it at Summer Game Fest. Geoff and Sean seem pretty friendly and they do have a history. I'd fly out to LA for that. 👀 If SGF invited me, of course. lol
Cartographers?!? 😭 my favorite!!!🤩🥳
re: trusting Hello Games - forgiveness
Forgiveness isn't to let the other guy off the hook; it's to release the toxicity you are holding on to, so you can be free of it.
I think we can trust them, I can’t imagine they would make the same mistake. I’m really looking forward for the new game I think it’s the most hyped I’ve been for a game since Elden ring. 😊
First off, I’m watching this on the 21st, and completely missed that they’re remixing the rewards for the expeditions. I was playing back when they did Pioneers, but thought you HAD to play multiplayer on it. I’m a solo player, so I missed the golden vector and I think one of the jet packs. I have tomorrow off, so DEFINITELY gonna spend it chasing those rewards!
As a rambler, I appreciate the organic delivery, but I also dabble in public speaking and know the importance of a script or at least an outline. I thought your delivery was good though. Been playing since 2017/18ish, and still picking up new things, so thanks for all you do 😊
Oh, and DEFINITELY looking forward to LNF and that content as well
I'm glad you'll get another shot at the Golden Vector! And thanks for the feedback. I appreciate it!
I would love to see your content for LNF. Im so stoked for a fantasy version of NMS. Keep up the great work!
So Sean Murry yells out on the plane "I'm Pickle Rick"!
"Mountains bigger than Everest", and if u watch the trailer the mountains are like any-other game
Oooh, I didnt know about the cartographer expedition, that's a cool reference to LNF to remix it
yes cover Light no fire.
I'm not sure if Ryan McCaffery saw the game in action or just talked to Sean and the team per his post on X the night of the awards. He posted it the night of but he met with them in the morning before the show, so had me wondering.
"You are not ready for Light No Fire from
@NoMansSky
. I met w/Sean & the team this morning & it’s like an inside-out No Man’s Sky. It’s one giant 1:1 scale planet in which you can experience life & adventure ANYWHERE with your friends. 👀 Sean is insane to do this. #TheGameAwards"
This format is great. ❤ NMS ❤ LNF ❤
I think it's gonna be March/April release
Yeah, you're right. Are we talking dungeon? Crawling precisely hundreds of dungeons.
man.. i think i watched that trailer 50 times already
seen the trailer last night..
Yeah a kaaju video on light no fire 🔥
If the Atlas is simulating entire histories for each universe, some of them must still be in the feudal period 🤷🏾♂️
The Black Watchmen started with The Secret World mmo, then went off on it's own direction. This latest run isn't linked to NMS.
Please let is be a mix of Valheim and EverQuest (1999-2003 eras)
You may have seen the news that Google's artificial intelligence gamer simulator (SIMA) is being tested on NMS... It could be very interesting to see it integrated into LNF.
Imagine a version of EVE Online but on one planet. A player based economy and coop. That would be amazing.
I realize I wouldn't be too interested in LNF if it wasn't being made by HG and me being a big fan of them. I'm certainly excited for it, but not enough to pre-order because I honestly have no idea what you do in the game. I'm hoping they release a gameplay video actually showing off some content. I currently think it'll be similar to NMS but with different visuals and content.
Also curious to know if some biomes will be specific certain continents or if they'll be plopped around randomly.. because I'm really not sure what the point is in making a map that huge.
SUPER hyped for the next NMS update, there's a moving component like a loading bay or something to the far right of the screen, I assume it's just a visual thing like that "restless arm" thing outside Nada and Polo's room. Also the lighting seems to be very different in the space station.. I actually don't like how the Sun's light bleeds through the walls of everything in NMS, I'm hoping the update comes with huge lighting improvements too.
I wonder how it'll affect abandoned camps since those are built from the current space station core design and apparently the new update will redesign them.
AND YES DO A TIER LIST!! Do an updated completionism list! Review the asteroids! Revive the cave series! I love your NMS content. xD
Hello Games has not proven that they can make a 'deep rpg' experience so I would be cautious about buying this game. I like nms, but I also do not like how many people seem to think that they brought it back and made it into some AAA masterpiece when it is still a very shallow sandbox game, and they have made no attempt to deepen the gameplay. Every update is just more cosmetic stuff and simple quest type things.
I agree that I'm skeptical of how deep of an RPG they can create. That said I would argue that the last two years of updates have focused mainly on deepening core systems. SENTINEL deepened ground combat and loot with more intricate enemy variety. OUTLAWS added new gameplay loops for pirate roleplayers. ENDURANCE revised freighter building, revised asteroids and space, added new living frigates, and fleshed out living ships. WAYPOINT was all about game balance and giving players more options. INTERCEPTOR gave us some of the most intricately-connected content in a while: new planet types with unique resources, enemies, POIs, multi-tools, starships, and lore. ECHOES similarly added a new race and everything that goes with that plus new buildable multi-tools. Not to mention it improved space combat by giving us power distribution, freighter shields, and giving us new dreadnaughts to fight. And of course I've left out dozens of other changes to in the last two years alone.
I won't argue NMS has any deep RPG systems, but it's also nowhere near as shallow as it used to be. There are plenty of interconnected gameplay loops today that weren't there two years ago. Hopefully the upcoming space stations similarly improve and tie together various existing elements in addition to providing more visual variety. Here's hoping! Thanks for watching and commenting.
I got too say I'm on the fence still about this game but then I had a thought that maybe with the current feats that the studio has done it could be great as long as thay take there time
when you talk about scale of Earth is Stanfield's Earth to scale? I know you cannot walk it but I wonder if the titles would add up to Earth... doubtful. All in all LNF is going to be cool. I wanna ramp up my character and go walk, adventure and just take in the sights.
I think I might get Light no fire when it releases
Well NMS is one of my all time favorites so....I'm buying the deluxe super mega version of LNF.
I've been running the expeditions on my switch, I have them on my PC. I'm not looking forward to the cartographer expedition because it's on a single planet so the plethora of comm balls getting in the way of progress will be ridiculous.
So, I've long since "forgiven" HG for the NMS launch. I'm also incredibly excited to see what NMS's tech can bring to the fantasy genre.
However, I'm also now exceedingly wary of hype; especially hype for a game that's so far out from release. So I am looking forward to the game. I am hopeful for the game. I am not hyped for the game.
That said, if it launches with the quality NMS currently has, it'll be a solid title.
Wait, what armor? You mean the red/atlantid helmet customization? It's just a headpiece, isn't it?? I didn't do it twice even with time because I didn't like the red one, only got the one that looked like that old 80s scifi movie with a small robotic alien ufo family.
Kanaju's No Man's Fire, episodes
And what about drops loot?.... There's a lot. I wanna ask and I hope we get some answers.
You kind of missed that they had a flood, didn't you? And they were forced to release something due to Sony.
I mean, I'm hyped for Monster Hunter Wilds, but equally hyped for LNF. I'm a fan of both :v
Also, first "open universe"? That has to be Starbound. Mostly because its beta was out already in 2013.
NMS is really an open multiverse of sorts, with 256 planes. They call them galaxies, but really, they are basically all the same thing lore-wise.
And plz do Light no Fire content.
imagine in 5 to 10 years they can add another planet or something
Get hype.
I'm extremely into fantasy, I'd choose it over sci-fi. I think the RPG systems are gonna be something akin to Kingdoms Of Amalur, Reckoning, or Mass Effect, but not as deep as Skyrim, in terms of gameplay.
Skyrim.....rpg....that doesn't sit right.
@@nonethelessfirst8519 Yeah this dude freaks me out. I've had Mass Effect on my backlog for awhile and if there's less depth than fucking _Skyrim_ I'm going to have to pass
@@charlesdilks3267 he's talking level systems, perks things like that. Not rp depth
@@alien0gamer139 That gameplay didn't have any depth though. When you level up you choose whether to level up your Health, Stamina, or Mana. This is just lazy and I don't need to explain why. The skill trees themselves are incredibly boring, with each tree only having a few big ticket items while the rest are underwhelming. And of course, there's no depth of _choice_ specifically when stealth archer outperforms every other playstyle in the game.
Listen, I don't think the game will be as bad as NMS on launch, but I still think it'll be somewhat unfinished.
BUT
The redemption of NMS means that I trust these developers to stick with their game, so even if the bungle the release I KNOW that it will only get better from there. So, even if I get an unfinished game, I know all I have to do is wait and the game will blow me away again.
I didn't buy no man sky at launch because of how bad they said it was. I bought it now watching your videos and wow, whatever was this game at that time, I would forgive a blank screen with a middle finger in it now.
I remember years back, me and my wife will always talk about a fantasy game made by hello games.
Make another video the wait is to long, and the last 3 you made are not very good
Murray does seem like the type of person to learn from his mistakes. I think this time, there is truth to his claims because no one forgets. Fool me once, shame on you..fool me twice, shame on me without a doubt.
All the freedom in the world?
With respect I disagree with this
The game has a build cap and therefor building is not free. Building is restrictive
Restrictions is not freedom
