This traveler ghost on a space station had this red spot on his hip and when I pointed it out to him my character noticed that he was actually already dead and the travelers suit was quote "continues to speak, aping what must habe been their wearer's voice. It gives me units, trying to act as if nothing was wrong" that creeped me out fr

More than once, I've allowed Korvax to escape their convergence into my exosuit, so... Have you run into the Traveler who was dead in their exosuit but the suit kept pretending it was alive and the person inside was fine? Creepy
Is this the korvax in the abandoned buildings. I just recently came across a korvax and I helped him and bam he powered down, for what seemed like a minute and all of sudden he springs to life. I thought I killed him. I have video of the exchange.
He was re-powered by new Korvax entity. The original is in your exosuit. I've done it a few times. No wonder Travelers hear whispering. (Not always same place - I've had it happen in Minor Settlements too.)
there are a lot of NPC interactions that have some serious implications for your character. i remember once being offered a parasite slug by a gek and having it crawl into my brain, seemingly to augment my understanding of gek language, and yet that still means there is a alien parasite living in my character's brain. also, that thing that one korvax encounter does where they basically turn your blood into nanite foam as an experiment is also pretty unnerving.

If it were up to me, I'd convert the past missions and expeditions as possible side quests (with some changes if needed), with whatever rewards you'd get not being universal as to not gyp out the players who actually did the time sensitive missions.
Rumour has it in the 4.0 update that is going to release with the release of nms nintendo switch edition, weekend events will be given a storyline to do with the abyss again...
They did a great job with the atmosphere in those. I remember feeling very small when emerging after my first run through. Funny enough, it was the density of those small spaces that made me appreciate just how big the universe was. Thanks for commenting!
i really like the darker bits of lore and story in No mans sky. on the surface no man's sky is just a colorful fantasy space game about traveling a procedural universe, but when you dig into it a bit the colorful exterior reveals a dark murky core. No mans sky is loaded with cosmic horror, existential questions, and concepts that really make you question reality.

The thing I enjoy about NMS, coming in as a new player, is just how many threads there are for you to pull. I'll admit it kind of sucks to start pulling on a questline only to be rewarded with a bunch of blueprints you purchased the hard way, but I really enjoy what I'm interpreting as a simulated universe testing out different iterations with the inhabitants occasionally becoming self-aware.
Me too! It's just so vast I've always struggled to figure out where to start. This was a fun one to make though, so I'll definitely be making more in the future. Thanks for watching and for the sub!
I'll like the ending you got. Its like a chilling cliffhanger. One day you turn around like every other time but this time that traveler is close, too close...
I still find myself just doing my own thing, mining, exploring, fighting sentinels, just relaxing. Then I come across something that reminds me that this universe is riddled with existential crisis and cosmic horror.
I think I would literally sacrifice my character to hear the rest of those endings. I really liked the ones I heard and want.... no, NEED....... to hear, and know, more NMS lore and old stories. Thanks, I vaguely remember the quest line but I can't remember what ending I got, not even to see my life.
I wish that NMS would re-add parts of this, and of the expeditions, as quests - perhaps as variations that occur only in certain universes, or to flesh out and add to the main storyline.
I kind of want a story where we, and several other travelers from the anomaly confront Ariadne, who is now getting ready to bail and we get to watch the fake have a panic attack for 3 minutes straight rambling on and failing to defend themselves from the prosecutions of several travelers
I'd like to see a rundown of the lore found in the server rooms in some planetary buildings, which requires a remembrance to access. At some point a few years ago I lost my remembrance as well as the blueprint to craft it, and have been unable to finish that lore

I'd love more lore videos. I play NMS on and off every couple of months, and also struggle to piece stories together when I encounter them, so these are particularly interesting
I'd like to see some things like this play out in the general over world as well and not just missions. Case in point, how are all the biological horror eggs/nests getting seemingly everywhere? Who's spreading these things? I'd like to board some of these non purchaseable freighters to find them studying them on board and maybe find some at freighter crash sites. Maybe actual strings of logs detailing stories.
For the Stanger Quest... could it be that you witnessed the events that happened to your character before you started the game? It seems like whenever you arrived at a new galaxy.. yiu have a similar situation where your ship has been destroyed and your gears all messed up and have to start over to fix and collect things to get off or get situated on this new world.. I only think his way about how the grave you visit has a character with your likeness and the way he also disappears. You also seem to end up stranded and have to recollect and fix stuff to go on your way also..It's like you continue from the point they vanished
The Ai Suit thing is telamon a soul, the soul of a helper/maker of the atlas more like sidekick of the atlas wanted to escape from the atlas's corrupted laws and saw mercy in the Simulations inhabitants but somehow telamon got stuck in a suit maybe because telamon is AI?? who knows I certainly dont know but I want to know more...
From what I remember, telamon was created by Atlas to observe Atlas functions in all simulations, checking them for anomalies and such. As Atlas began to deteriorate and go “insane” it sort of turned on telamon and eventually admitted that neither of them were real and they were both one of multiple simulations of simulations. I don’t remember exactly why Atlas did it, perhaps he was trying to show telamon the hard truth, but he banished him to the ever-repeating role of exosuit companion for each new traveller inside these endless simulations. The Boundary Failure logs you can find on anomaly planets are all authored by telamon and if you go through all 30 or 31 logs, they tell the story of how telamon came to be stuck in this hell. The first ten or so logs describe telamon’s testing on Atlas, with scenarios and analysis of outcomes. Things quickly devolve after telamon discovers Atlas is losing its “mind”. There are more than one or two epiphanies a player can have if they follow this story til the end. One of the cooler stories to explore in the game if you ask me.
The "we should have drank the water" creeps me out, I came across a crashed freighter and in the logs it documented someone's travels. They ended their entries by apologising to a loved one should they ever find the log, saying something along the lines of "I'm sorry my love... we drank the water." Makes me wonder if the "water" mentioned in both cases is super toxic, and a last resort for any survivors of crashes as some kind of suicide pill... interesting...
as far as i know, the lore reason for not drinking the universe's water is because the sentinels infected approximately half of the water in the universe with nanites. they want to accelerate some kind of artifical evolution of life in order to break free of the simulation.
@@samurai-butterfly7393 That might be it! I remember some other lore about the Korvax basically turning the tables on the first spawn gek by sacrificing themselves to contaminate the gek spawn pools with nantes, so many of the gek were forever changed after that, although I could be remembering wrong
I encountered a traveller iteration in a space station many times but then found this same "mirror" effect. I saw myself and I was talking to myself. The traveller went on to try communicating but gave up when I said the "wrong" thing?
This is a great video! I find the lore of No Man's Sky hilariously toung-and-cheek, but I gotta admit, I don't love how it's delivered in-game. One sentence at a time in slowly scrolling text interrupts the flow of my gameplay too much so I usually have a "faster text" mod installed and skip a lot of the lore once I've read it once (I probably miss some because of this habit). I would welcome more videos that collect this lore because honestly, I'm too impatient to read it all while playing -- too busy ship-hunting, building and warping around I guess!

I've run across some really creepy and horrid stories in derelict freighters too. I won't go into them either to avoid spoilers but yeah, read those logs you have to find. *shudders*. I think if Musk offered me a place on the Starship to Mars i'd decline, lol. Edit: It makes me wonder if Null got the stranger and the others.
Leaving a comment so you get more exposure. Loved the editing and direction of your video, it was entertaining and kinda fresh to see. I miss the days when NMS had creepier vibes lol
In my home system there's a planet called Tapaul XI, it's a grey, barren planet, with nearly no vegetation, and the most prominent lifeform is these floating electricity orbs that look like eyes... always staring, always there, just, watching, in my notes when I scan them it says they remember faces... creepy enough as it is, however this planet seems to be a magnet for ship crashes as well, it has the highest number of crashed ships I've found to date One time I found a crashed freighter on Tapaul, I found one of those pod things that holds a message from the crew, and if I remember correctly it said "DON'T DRINK THE WATER" hearing that be brought up in this video gave me chills _and_ made me have to do a double take
Me too. They've given us more Abyss lore and explanation, but the actual spread of it throughout the universe is something we really haven't had to deal with in years. Unless you count the newer infected biomes...but again, no story or lore to accompany them. Thanks for commenting.
Found this boundary failure today: UNEXPLAINED//Label: 'Aesun' Scenario: Accompanying UNKNOWN-designate 'Traveler', providing advice and warnings relating to life support. ANALYSIS: The Atlas did this to me. When once I witnessed worlds, now I am forced to observe only through the eyes of a stranger. Their life is one of harvest, ever expanding their capacity for profit and wealth. And yet they are drawn to the galactic center, their course taking them there as if no other was possible. They do not think to question the path laid out before them. They do not think to question me. The voice in your exosuit is a traveller banished there by the Atlas?
Instead of making videos with a bunch of random lists, could you make a series of walkthrough videos that show the lore of No Man's Sky and how to find things things you make lists about?
Hey I m new here so sorry if you did this and I just can't find it but.... I would be great to get an exosuit lore video I m missing piece of the lore and can't figure it out. Also a video on each culture would be really cool
Ariadne thing is weird, if he was sus and went randomly killing folk for sentinels considering how much space anomaly crew hates sentinels they would've threw him out or killed him? Why keep an evil shadow clone of their friend that might some day stab them or lead sentinels onto them.
I'm already confused by the first two, but maybe it's just because I didn't get the game until June 2021. Were there Anomaly missions that actually had a kind of plot to them?
Yes! Three seasons worth, actually. They ended in 2020, but we never got a satisfying conclusion or followup to things such as Ariane. I believe expeditions have replaced them as the seasonal story content.
I admit with how good no man's sky is now ( I'm going to forget the terrible launch) and the possibility of psvr 2 support I have a fascination with it because a lot of vr games can be short

Wooo! Me too! Just arrived today!
These stories are creepy. Thanks for telling them. I wish Hello Games would put some kind of effort into developing these beyond just text.
I am here to listen and learn.
Thanks for listening! If you learned something, even better.
The orb one got me the most
I never knew nms lore can be this scary lol
I would love more lore. It's what keeps me playing.
I'd love for these to all be made playable again as a group.
Did you ever do a video about the whole lore? I played it for over 600 hours and I don't know much about it
I've run across some really creepy and horrid stories in derelict freighters too. I won't go into them either to avoid spoilers but yeah, read those logs you have to find. *shudders*. I think if Musk offered me a place on the Starship to Mars i'd decline, lol.
Edit: It makes me wonder if Null got the stranger and the others.
Never drink the water.. it's filled with regret
Leaving a comment so you get more exposure. Loved the editing and direction of your video, it was entertaining and kinda fresh to see. I miss the days when NMS had creepier vibes lol
In my home system there's a planet called Tapaul XI, it's a grey, barren planet, with nearly no vegetation, and the most prominent lifeform is these floating electricity orbs that look like eyes... always staring, always there, just, watching, in my notes when I scan them it says they remember faces... creepy enough as it is, however this planet seems to be a magnet for ship crashes as well, it has the highest number of crashed ships I've found to date
One time I found a crashed freighter on Tapaul, I found one of those pod things that holds a message from the crew, and if I remember correctly it said "DON'T DRINK THE WATER" hearing that be brought up in this video gave me chills _and_ made me have to do a double take
Yes please make another video with more of these endings. We need more lore RUclipsrs and less speed runs!
Thanks! I'm definitely considering it!
ending one. i think the at might be atlas. and the eye is also the atlas. and the stranger got killed by the atlas.
When my suit first talked to me in the main story line I kept trying to talk to it
The only Traveler known for their head of light is ~null. Wonder if they are actually super dengerous..
I hope we get more of those quests^^
I wish they would move forward with the established Abyss storyline... I miss those times of excitement and uncertainty with the story.
Me too. They've given us more Abyss lore and explanation, but the actual spread of it throughout the universe is something we really haven't had to deal with in years. Unless you count the newer infected biomes...but again, no story or lore to accompany them. Thanks for commenting.
The one about the blood sea is pretty creepy
I started playing in 2020 so I must have just missed some of these stories but a few bits seem familiar.
I would love more Lore vids.
No idea! The community still doesn't know why they keep them around to this day. We really do need a proper conclusion to that whole saga.
@@Kanaju would you want something unknown to be out there somewhere doing god knows what, or would you keep it under close observation…
@@Kanaju Ahh. It would be nice if they brought them back again for newer players, sort of like how we got an encore for the first year of expeditions.
People always seem to have forgotten that "Ariadne" isn't Ariadne anymore.
I admit with how good no man's sky is now ( I'm going to forget the terrible launch) and the possibility of psvr 2 support I have a fascination with it because a lot of vr games can be short
I've been playing since day 1 but none of these quests are familiar to me, were they the weekend events?
