Hope you were offered the position ioxstar81. I worked close to 17 yrs for Southwest on the Ramp in 16 different stations. Best advice i can give you is to always watch your back and do everything according to the GOM. Southwest isn't about rewarding the people who do the job right it's about writing them up so that there will always be a letter or 2 or 3 in your file. The Slackers usually go into Leadership with the Southwest mentality that a metamorphosis will happen with a terrible God awful agent becoming a Role Model Leader. Keep a tight close circle of friends you can confide in due to the dozens and dozens of opportunists out there who will throw you under the bus for any reason. I'm not trying to discourage you but watch the Southwest Kool Aid intake. Good Luck and stay safe always.
Awwww yes!! Nothing like the smell of Jet A!! Love working the ramp. It's a dangerous job for sure, but!! It's also one of the funnest jobs I have ever had. I love Southwest. Such a fun airline.
I have my over-the-phone interview tomorrow morning for ramp agent. I'm nervous and excited because it will be the first interview I've had in 7 years. I currently work for TSA and am in need of a positive change. Everyone at Southwest seems so happy to work for them!

The typical Southwest Airlines Ramp Agent makes $13 per hour. Ramp Agent hourly pay at Southwest Airlines can range from $11 - $31. When factoring in bonuses and additional compensation, a Ramp Agent at Southwest Airlines can expect to make an average annual salary of $27,659 .

Why are walking pass the wing, you're suppose to stay with the wing, hence being a wing walker?🤔 I do the same job and we have to guide the plane out beside the wing. 🤷

Easy to notice how everyone is smiling and laughing. Hard working people with good attitudes.
Don't forget low paid. Ticket prices are sky high (pun intended), yet the pay has barely budged.
