I'm a normal 22yrs old boy and I'm surprised having a RUclips suggestion which talks seriously about wealthy like this. However, this is like a signal, a hint, an encouragement for me to keep up my work. I'm continuing the small coffee business of my family. My parents started it in a poor remote place (no offense), and now it's somewhat one of a choice for local people. I found my passion and responsibility to develop that coffee brand. As the first steps, I'm renovating/improving anything that I think it's necessary: the store design, the procedure (frankly we didn't have a formal one), new products, ... The progress is so slow now because I'm relying on income from my remote Software Engineer job, but I'm happy with every small change day-by-day. Agree with this video, I hope that one day I will not only be satisfied by my achievements but also have an accommodation, education for the next generations, no wonder big or small, just need it to be better. It would be nice to see more content like this!
Very inspiring to learn from those who have been able to preserve and grow their wealth for generations. Thank you for exploring and educating about these important principles.
No wonder Indian business conglomerate families like Tatas are successful even after 200 years. They have such a diversified portfolio, they make everything a person needs in his life from cradle to coffin.
1. Diversify your investments, even though the initial wealth might have been created through concentrated investments(like starting your own business) as soon as you have substantial amount of wealth, diversify it 2. Stay invested even when there is a market crash(have long term vision, don't panic and sell all your investments at a loss, hold them through the downturn) 3. Structure your investments,( don't let an idiot inherit your wealth, don't loose in a divorce) 4. Open a family office (so that professionals can help you do all the above)
All the wise decisions and hard work that create family wealth can be destroyed by a few unstable marriages and divorces. Stable intra family relations should have been explicitly added to this otherwise good video.

Family planned marriages seem a given in these cases, i think it guarantees consolidation of their power and lineage
