how do you not just stand and stare out of the window at that gorgeous view?!! Must look even better with a cuppa! I admire your strength as i sit here glaring at my desk!!!
Hello, Jess. I love these resets and you have inspired me to add them to my monthly goal setting! Seeing you perform your tasks gives me new ideas on how to develop a better method each month for myself. Idea to add to your reset: I deep clean the tub and bathmat before I do my shower/self-care routine. As a not-very-tall person, I can more easily clean the walls while I am already in the shower.
As part of my monthly reset, I like to make sure I have added the books that I have read during the current month to my books list. I also like to choose new books and music for the month, something to go along with the season. I will also refresh candles and flowers for a fresh look as well. Sometimes just rearranging things makes it feel special. Thanks for sharing your process. I always enjoy your videos! 😄
I have only recently started working with bullet journaling, I have purchased 3 different pre made books to start. Mood Tracker, weight loss and a weekly tracker. Some items I do not use, and bought an empty journal for next year, I have started doing January layouts , setting up pages that I like so far. I have found in the last month my anxiety and sleep patterns are better and I am motivated to do things around house, crossing off as I go. Why didn’t I do this years ago?
i do a deep clean item, normally a project i’ve been putting off or a room that needs it. as i always have projects i want to do (or deep cleaning) but don’t always schedule this and this way forces me to do at least one item
For instagram, I have one account for each niche. So one for bullet journaling/planning, one for tarot/witchy and one for general life stuff. But lately since I’m not creating content anymore I’m wondering if I even want all the different ones. It was nice about a year ago because IG algorithm very much pushed posts from the same niche but I’ve noticed it’s changing. Im also changing too. So now I’m in a weird space with it.
I used to (in my very first journal) but I didn't get a lot of use out of it 🤔 We have a ~kinda~ similar thing in our (mine and Vogel's) shared OneNote now 💪 But it's mainly stuff he takes care of, haha
I love your monthly resets, however this is the first time the stars have alligned when your video has coincided with a rainy Wellington weekend day and my motivation extends beyond to "Oh that's cool, I must do that", to "S*&t, yeah, I'm doing that now."
Those are wooden monitor risers (which I got on TradeMe www.trademe.co.nz/a/marketplace/computers/computer-furniture/other/listing/4138339726?bof=TR2jHdTL ) and some acrylic drawers from KMart NZ 😄
@Cordelia0704p I hear you! Doing the goal setting with Jess and I decided that my focus this quarter needed to be routines! Because I’m not doing anything consistently!! Don’t know how to make it work yet, but that’s my goal for this next 3 months!
Curious, when do you start to do your Monthly Reset? From the sounds of it you do this reset throughout a few days near the end of the month. I've been thinking to adjust the day/days when I do mine Monthly Reset as the checklist has gotten longer and will get longer whenever I include my Self-Care and Yearly bujo's (still gotta make them).
I like to do it a little out from the end of the month, yeah. Mainly because sometimes things take longer than expected, so I like to give myself a little time-buffer 👏 That way I can still start the new month with everything ready 😄💜
@@JashiiCorrin I'm usually a disorganized mess, but my desktop has to be clean. My husband has been using my laptop recently and he has SO MUCH on that screen that I literally have to look away and pretend I didn't see it.
Thats super interesting and inspiring. Question - what were the different categories you used for the braindump? And what is your process to review and transfer the tasks from the braindump?
This brain dump didn’t have categories, just a long list of “do this” and notes 💪 the process to review and transfer them is going to happen with my monthly migration process 😄 so really just going through each of the items individually, considering if they need to be kept in this journal or in another one, and scrapping any that were passing thoughts
4:06 Er, um, omg… I’ve had the same gmail since gmail was a thing and I’ve never done a inbox zero (that’s 19 years) 🫣 😂which I’ll do when there’s a whole week mum doesn’t have any appointments.
Oof! I find sorting by "from" can deleting in chunks is a good way to start with that. Or by "subject" if you're getting a lot that have the same spammy headline 👏
I've had Gmail that long too! Back when you had to get an invite from someone else who already had it? 😂 My husband has the need to keep his inbox at zero... not me. lol ...there's so much in there I won't ever need
Lol! That’s mine too! I’ve decided that I’m trying to a monthly zero… so just dealing with the last months worth of emails… and unsubscribing or bull deleting as I go… I’ll let you know how it goes! 🤣
I misread "Defrost chicken" as "Defeat chicken" and was thinking about how epic that battle would be... 🐔
That’s so brilliant 😂 much more exciting ⚔️

It helps that the window is dirty and I focus on that more if I stare too long 😂 haha thanks Julie-Anne! 💜
That view from your office 😍😍
It's quite a nice one, yeah! We get the sunset over the hills each evening 😄💜

Totally with you regarding cleaning the shower while in the shower, I do that too 😝👌

It’s super nice to give your space a refresh! 😄💜 I’m not much of a decorator, but I love seeing people change over their seasonal decor 👏
Your thumbnail made my day, you should use that/your smile more often 🥰

Nice! Totally a great idea to tie those to a monthly reset 💜😄

A monthly reset! Yay! My office thanks you. LOL (Could I do a monthly reset without your video as a prompt? Sure. *Would* I? Uhm...no comment.)
Loved this video Jess! It’s always nice to see your reset! Off to tackle mine now! And try and make this more of a routine!
I’m not sure this question relates to this post but. . . I was wondering if you have a “When Did I Last” format?

As it should be! 😂
Refreshing and inspiring! Off to do my own reset…
Glad it was a good watch for you! 😄💜 hope your reset goes well 💪
Yes, I love a good reset.
Same! Always appreciate the fresh-start feeling 😄💜
I check my when did I list. It track like filter changes and such. Things you don’t do all the time like an oil change for my living space lol
A good idea 💪
Have to watch it later but wanted to leave a comment for ❤traffic❤ 😂
Haha thanks! 💜😄
Quick question, Jess: Do you still plan on doing a video on when to start a new bullet journal?
That’s the plan! It’ll be our last video in the bujo basics series 💪

What is your desk storage (5:20) if you don't mind me asking? It looks absolutely perfect for what I need. 😅

Loving that huge set of rainbow/ color coordinated notebooks on the desk. Are they all empty or notebook or old ones or something else?
Glad you like them! It's a combination of unused, fully used, and partially used 😝
@@JashiiCorrin ahh ok 😂 they’re beautiful!!!!
I need to start doing something like this
It’s worthwhile, even if just a smaller routine 👏 💜
