I know it's the opposite of what you're doing in your video, but this showed me that I don't need all these journals, I just need to make proper use of the tools and things I DO have. This made me pay more attention to what I already have and focus on making these things work for me! You also gave me a ton of ideas of what I want "collect" and create. Thank you!

The pavlovian response I have to the "tink" sound is unreal. I didn't realize I'd followed along until I was already putting my mug back down lolol
I'm appreciating the number of creators who are sharing how they think about what they'll use for their 2025 system because that's honestly more useful than people just showing what they're doing. Having those questions is really helpful.

It's so funny to hear you say it's early. The hobonichi and tomoe river paper planner girls are in the thick of planning their 2025 lineup. Releases started last month and Hobonichi launches Sept 1 every year. I got my sterling ink passport as my purse carry like a week ago. I just ordered my cousin and now i'm thinking if i need a health journal. You're not early, you are right on time.

I was starting to consider to think to plan to [etc etc 😂] about my 2025 journal lineup and I realized I am again at the same point as every other year: my all-in-one bujo is comfy, personable, but at the same time the minimalist style I went with this year (one pen, no color, everything is the same size) is not the best for clarity + every september I go through a "I want a printed planner" phase 😭 saw the just released sterling ink vertical full year and almost consider it because of all the blank pages at the end (368 blank pages AND a planner??? That's magic!) but I already know I'll stick with my full year bujo for yearly, quarterly, weekly, daily and collections + my goal journal (that usually stores 7 years) + my daily reflections one. Just gotta further SWOT and WANT my planning method!!! 💪🏻✍🏻

Thinking outside the book, and ironically into a box. I have put my art supply swatches into an old school card file box. Like one of the little plastic ones. That way I can easily throw out the card if I get rid of a set of supplies, and change the order and categorisation without wasting an entire book if I change things enough or get to a point where I decide I don't want it any more. It also means I can include different paper types. So for my acrylic markers I have a swatch on tan paper and a swatch on white paper.

@@JashiiCorrin I thought about getting a nice sketchbook and laying them out beautifully but then I know I'd not leave enough space and then get more that should go with the other page and then it's higgledy piggledy and I'd abandon the whole thing. This way I can redo the swatches again and again if I don't like how I did them the first time and not worry about replacing everything haha

Amidst Kitty snuggles I've got my "WANT" done, by going through last years (1st) journals, and this one so far, to see if anything I stopped doing helped, and having an actions plan on my monthly goals page will be making a return. I've made the notes on what I want to adjust and how (to have exact info fine tuned), added a dizziness tracker to my needs, as well as calls for actually planning when I plan... and not just random thoughts put in as filler. 😉 I genuinely thought I'd have less journals for next year, but instead I have more. My brain is doing me dirty? I've got the self-modded 2024 A5 planner for Creative and Health work (the 2nd will be for possible content creation if I decide to go that route in life, like your R&D books), the B5 Meteor Shower for my Daily Life journal, the square Book Stack for my Media journal, the Sun/Window Frame Traveler's for my Meal tracking/planning, the Lavender with navy pages from the Dec. 2023 box for my Shadow journal (when the next is needed), and the square Grey lined from the Dec. 2022 box for putting together recipes that are dietarily safe for me. 🤯 Currently I have a Fitness, Creativity, Meal, Shadow, and Daily.

    - For the swatch book, what about using a Neapolitan notebook? Since you are looking to expand the kinds of notebooks you use, it may be useful to have the swatches in different colored paper.
    - Fun fact... I am in the process of setting up a 5-yr journal and I have 2 A&O notebooks I bought specifically for that... So I'm set for the next 10 yrs 😂😂
    - Maybe for the 24 24's you can make an appointment with yourself on a digital calendar that you can later reference when back planning.
    - For your receipts, I have 2 suggestions:
    1. Make it an action item or category on your excel spreadsheet... It can just be a check box that you cross out when you submit them.
    2. Make it part of your quarterly reflections.
    - 😂😂😂 on shaving your notebook

I decided to not only use one of the chunky A6 sub box journals (the white dot grid one) not only for swatches but for color palettes and themes I might want to refer back to. Even if I can't use those specific colors, it will work as a reference to find something similar.

I have finally accepted at this point that I can only handle 1 planner at a time. Otherwise, I will use my everyday bujo and forget the others exist and not do the hobby journaling that I wanted to. 🙃
I am currently using an A5 bujo and an erin condren Homeschool planner, which seems to be my limit. 😂 I will be throwing EVERYTHING in 1 journal next year from the beginning and bringing back the good old Table of Contents that I have been avoiding.

I have separate swatch books for my watercolors and my gouache paints: a single page with each color and besides the pure color I show it mixed with other colors. I don't mix markers that much so they fit nicely in my long-term collections journal. I will also make up palette cards for things like the A&O monthly kits: once I figure out what makers go with a particular set of stickers/washi tape whatever, I will keep track for the next time I use those stickers. (If there aren't enough stickers or whatnot to use more than once, I don't bother). It doesn't make for an easy layout, but I try to have my swatches going off the edge of a page so I can lay the page over whatever I might be trying to color match.
