I like the advice on focusing on the "critical scenario" (best case when you are in a tough position, worst case when you are in a bad position). But you do need to be sure that what you think is the critical scenario is actually this critical scenario, because otherwise you can lose to something else. There is a reason why Scrabble is was named this way; "scrabble" means "to struggle by or as if by scraping or scratching" (Merriam Webster definition 3b). It's very fitting.
Absolutely, great point -- there's no way to ever come up with a principle or piece of advice that applies universally to all Scrabble situations, which is part of why it's such a hard game!

@@DU1994 Yeah, that's true! Why is (S)EEN better than (S)ENE though, which would reduce the value of the spot above? And what happens after D(OR)R instead of D(OR)RS? I haven't had time to consider slow playing in these variations yet, so I'll try to figure that out, but those are my main questions at the moment!
I doubt anyone who watches this video knows the word EXSTROPHIES and finds it before it's revealed
Right: Nigel doesn't use internet.
Even if Kevin doesn't draw the J, he's SKRREWD.
Hahaha very well played
Clearly the most important thing to learn from this video is that EXSTROPHY is valid.
It’s a fairly common word.
“After the break up, I saw the Oscar on her shelf, and decided to steal my EXSTROPHY

Today I learned that VINIFY is a word.
Love this thorough analysis
Thanks!
Kevin’s a great player, must have one hell of a good coach!
What about 14G SEEL, setting up 11J JO ?
@@axcertypo I believe fexghadi was referring to S(E)EL more to the left 🤔
@project_account6248 Oh! I knew that, but did not visualize properly. Sorry! Deleted that comment. I wonder what the refutal is.
Nice idea, but I guess it has the same issue as LEES. If Kevin blocks with J11 KAILS, saving M1 DREW, how does Eric score enough?

Great video. I paused the video. Knew getting rid of J was key. But there was nowhere to play it.
EXSTROPHIES sounds like a list of my previous girlfriends.
hahaha
Is this 2024spc finals G5
I was seeing the game with him
