  • Hi!
This is a new version on my test with fixed audio glitch
Here is a quick test between the Bose Sub1 vs the L1 Pro16 Sub.
Many say they have the same power but.....
Here is my personal opinion regarding the Bose Sub1 vs the Pro16
The Bose technical site as well as several people on the Bose L1 Facebook group (which I no longer have access to for no valid reason) always mention that the Sub1 plays as much as the Sub pro16.
For a singer, yes the pro32 - Sub1 allows you to better adjust the bass volume.
However, for a DJ, the Pro16 wins hands down when it comes to bass..
    Thank you and good listening

Thank you to the administrators of the Bose Facebook group for blocking me without even telling me the reason and not responding to my private messages for a discussion.
I have never promoted my printed products for Pro8/16.
I can't stop people from sharing information.

How do you figure Pro 16 has better high end than Pro32 with less drivers?
When you hear the Sub1 hitting metal, that's called Bottoming Out. It will happen before red limit light with some tracks. Bottoming out can ruin a sub! With music playing, its very difficult to hear that metal sound, so you can be on green on the limit light and still be damaging the sub!

      @@WWeiss-nv5vz Hi !
The limiter does not need to be turned on to hear the metal sound
everything below 40hz at 105-108 db (white noise) it does. the 2 sub1s do exactly the same thing.
The sub2 , subpro16 and f1 sub dont have this at limite
The pro16 has more treble because the pro32 has more midrange and probably the final result is different. With the measurement microphone and the software, the pro16 has more high frequency than the pro32 rendered at 14-18khz
you need to have both a/b to understand, they do not have the same tone

@@DavidB_AudioTech So a single Sub2 is the way to go if 2x Sub1's will bottom out at 105dB+
Pro32 has a rolled off high end and a beautiful midrange as you point out. I found even pairing a Bose S1Pro Plus adds high end clarity to the Pro32!

@@WWeiss-nv5vz only for deep bass.. probably a bug with the internal limiter or other.. but I prefer to carry 2x sub1 than the sub2 which carries poorly.. in stack it gives a little more overall rendering than sub2... but otherwise I prefer to use the subpro16 with the pro32.. it's really the best compromise weight power rendered

I have a pair RCF J8 I was wondering if the Bose Pro 16 has better bass, sound and loudness ?

      Hello!
I have not heard the Evox J8 but like other similar brands with 12 inches, the Bose has more bass yes but with a "Bose Signature" sound Bose is less aggressive on the treble.. for some people, it does not like.. I find it less hard on the ears during a full evening...
You can buy from Bose directly... in the USA and Canada, they offer a risk-free trial and free return 30-90 days...
      You can perhaps check
However you will find the Bose a little "cheap" plastic but it remains the lightest in its category.
I returned the jbl prx one because it lacked bass for DJ

Thank you. I want something with good bass without having to carry an extra subwoofer.. Is the Bose L1 Pro16 is Loud enough for DJ .Do they sound like a 15 inch Sub ? Are they good for outdoor too ? I’m between the Bose L1 Pro16 or LD Maui 28G3

@@erixcarcamo8806 Pro16 have more bass than the Maui 28G3 but the Maui have better build quality and more high frequency , Bose is light but more fragile
