That mutant you came across in the underground facility that you hadn`t seen before, you can ward those off with your cross, it makes them light on fire.
From what I have figured out, the golden armor makes you immune to damage from mutants (maybe just VERY reduced). The downside is that the normal cannibals can still hurt you, and you are treated as not wearing any armor. So the golden armor is great for caves, but not so much on the surface.
The biggest use of the golden armor is that it is needed for the end of the game.
@@L3monSqueezy I may be wrong but, it also despite not having stats for it seems to make you invulnerable to cold weather. So no more having to wear the winter jacket and carry a lit torch so stop teeth chattering.
it does not make you immune to damage from mutants by the way. It reduces damage from demons by 70%. Demons are the "praying mantis" mutant that GameEdged found. There is another, stronger, variant i believe

That sound is the sound of ice forming. It's an actual sound. If you go out on a frozen lake at night you will hear that. It is a sound caused by ice compressing under its own pressure as more ice forms.
you should give Kelvin the Gold Armor to see what it looks like!
Btw next time you find a radio out on your travels, instead of smashing it,
you can order Kelvin to pick it up and carry it back to camp, Virginia likes to dance to it
He smashes the radios because he is trying to avoid copyright claims on the music.
Sadly he doesn't seem to be able to actually put it down once there, the second you try and give him another command he tosses it to the ground and it vanishes.

Shottie is buried in the grave with the purple marker incase you didnt know. And its funny as hell when ye give it to Virginia, and she is following you around. All of a sudden *BANG* and a cannibal or mutant goes flying through the air.
GE the golden armor is needed for end game yes it has durability but it is longer lasting than most but you NEED it for later so be careful to not use it up before end. Love that you got the Katana my fav weapon in game.The Preying mantis thing is a Demon use the cross on them.
Stealth actually works in this game. If you crouch while exploring a new cave you cave often sneak up on or sneak around enemies.

Sometimes when it's not very dark inside buildings and you carry the torch, it actually makes it harder to see. It only lights up things in the area immediately surrounding you for just a few feet, and everything beyond that just appears very dark. So without the torch, you can actually see better. Of course, if it's actually dark, then this doesn't apply. The same goes for the flashlight to some extent. It will make everything outside of the direction your aiming the flashlight appear very dim, even when there was enough light to see without the flashlight in the first place. You can clear that entire bunker without needing a flashlight or a torch for additional light.
OK. I'm caught up now. Kelvin looks great in his tux. Maybe Virginia could wear the hoodie to keep warm? Those bunkers are creepy as he'll! Wish you could see yourself and what you are wearing. I found that a spear to the face calms them down quite a bit. You can carry four spears and they are easy to replenish.

Can't remember if you got the cross on your single player adventure or not but it works wonders on the "praying mantis" thing you saw in the underground mortuary.

Golden Armor has a completely unique effect compared to the damage-nullifying effects of eg. Tech Armor. While worn, damage dealt by Demons will be significantly reduced, trivializing encounters with them even if multiple of them are present. This damage reduction effect however does not apply to cannibals and they will still deal full damage to the player while wearing it, making it inferior to creepy and tech armor outside of encounters with demons. When initially equipped, golden armor will remove any armor that the player is currently wearing and place it back into their inventory, pieces of armor that have sustained damage however, will be destroyed.

I have my base near water. When it freezes in this game it sounds like a submarine is under the ice. Interesting choice by the devs... but yeah, it's just the frozen water. Nothing ominous
That thing at 39:00 is one of the Demons. This is the only enemy that you can use the cross on.

Wasn’t the first one about a guy trying to find his so Timmy so uh that cut scene eh uh my guess that’s them? He did say Son to him and would make sense for them to be older as well as on the island just years later. Just my thoughts it would go well together with the storyline of the game

Hey GE. The shotgun is buried in a grave at one of the purple markers. It’s a badass weapon. Kills most everything with one shot using the buckshot.

GE, one of the grave sites has a shotgun buried. I can't remember the area that well but I do know there is a shotty
The guys you found fighting the mutant are the protagonists of The Forest. If I recall correctly it would help to have the cross that it's located in the cave where you found the rope gun in order to fight more efficiently those creepy mutants (mantis). I don't want to spoil the game for you but the golden armor will be needed later in the game

You need to go to the island you can swim across but the creatures don't like the water they die.You can build a camp on the island.

I think the masks only work on the 'lower ranks' of each tribe. Red dudes are one tribe, Gold masks are another tribe...there is probably a third mask somewhere.
But the crappy vision trying to use them is I guess the trade off for avoiding fights using them??? *shrugs*

There is a theory that in the original 'The Forest' there is only one dialogue which is 'Get down son' and in 'sons of the forest ' there is also only one dialogue which is also 'Get down son' for what i think maybe these are connected.
That thing you battled was a demon. Use the Cross on them. That is what the Golden armor is for.
GE you need to find the location with a winter jacket, will help you a lot in winter time

ive heard the golden armor reduces damage taken...which if true wld be more helpful if you cld use along with bone and creepy armor, but i dont think you can
It's mainly for mutants, you still take damage from cannibals
use the cross when you fight the white skin acrobatic demon and only use the golden armour when opening an eerie door

And it makes no sense that you can't carry two pistols. You can carry like 200 rolls of tape, but only 1 pistol. Seems a bit inconsistent. lol.

Flashlight on pistol useless?
Gold armor is a key, and does nothing for protection.
Can you shoot golf balls from the slingshot ?
It seems he's not "thinking" when using tarp, game just removes foliage on that spot.
It's a glitch, if he pressed g to remove the tarp from his hands it doesn't do it very often, if at all
Note on the Golden armor, it works best against Demons in the final cave. Against mutants and cannibals its not all that good. Beat the game today, got the ending with both Kelvin and Virginia. Now I'm waiting for the next update to start another playthrough.
