your right, snappiest game play butr the st comes second considering the hardware limitations. and remember big ass sprites were the s back then, a sign of quality a trademark of 16 !!! BITS !! so you played these 15 frames with pride.
@@KingCrimson82 I couldn't agree more, I have always been Amiga in the 16 bit realm but as far as sprite size goes this is kick arse for the ST, so yes it's 2nd place✊🙏😎
Amiga's version should've been better. At least the music is good. I have played the arcade one, and C64 looks best out of the ports. Data East should've made this one of their Mega Drive games.
I have to admit that the C64 version is probably the best port of the lot besides the arcade of course. It really looks like a great game for the C64. I don't get what is up with the amiga port though. It should be capable of better than that. And the spectrum.. well... Its usually always forgettable.
I often think that about the Amiga ports. Either, I'm way over-estimating the machine's capabilities. Or it was often on the receiving end of ports from some very lazy developer's
@@Games-bw5ee A little of both. The Amiga suffered from the ST being a lower denominator. But it could also be different programming it than other systems. It was not strait forward in how it handled sprites at all. It however was certainly capable of more than this port delivered.
nice youtube channel retrosutra. can you make more videos about amiga games, c64 games and atari st games. sly spy secret agent best version are arcade amiga, c64, atari st
The Atari ST and C64 versions have some of the best music I've ever heard in a game on either system! So catchy!
Thank you for keeping the system names on the screen the whole time
You're welcome! I should have done it a long time ago :(.
Gotta love half-screen status bars. :D
Conversion wise the C64 version is the clear winner 👍

a pity neither Sega Genesis/Mega-Drive or SNES got a port (version)
I would have bought both ports without doubt.
for me it would depend how good they're ported
It is a pity there is not sound in amstrad version, couse it is the funiest one
Putting sound and/or music on that system would have cut the frame rate in half and made it more unplayable than it already was.

En la versión de spectrum sonaba como si los atacaras con una engrapadora.
It's Amazing how c64 compete with far Better machines

Jugué al arcade. Me gustó mucho.
Este era uno de los Arcades que me hacía soñar con tener una recreativa en casa. Me fascinaba.
Meilleure version : Atari St 👍, ils auraient pu faire au moins une conversion pour l Amiga.
Parallax scrolling on C64 but not Amiga.
Amiga is using ST code?
Let’s Compare Sly Spy / Secret Agent
1: Arcade
2: Amiga
3: Atari St
4: Commodore 64
5: Amstrad CPC
6: Zx Spectrum
Que horrible la versión Amiga
Amiga graphic is much better than Arcade , music also but it is so slugish.. like most of the Amiga conversion.
