Kindly discuss the recent earthquake in Taiwan that was more than 7 on the Richter scale without a tsunami that should have happened if it was a natural occurrence. What if a similar event happens in the Bay of Bengal along Indias eastern sea board

Gen Shankar please discuss the capabilities ofthese Chinese boats and “research vessels”. Can they be used to study seismic planes and advantageous placement sites for nuclear charges . If so then it solves the puzzle of why these guys keep researching at the same place again and again. It can’t be just to track missiles and it’s trajectory. That is too obvious. Chinese will not fight man to man. They will create man made”natural events”. Earthquakes and floods and then domestic unrest in that chaos.They are very scared of losing 4000-5000 men in one battle due to one child policy.
Interesting discussion on how military attacks are done.
But this is unlikely to happen because:
-Taiwan is most unlikely to be another Ukraine for the US. Taiwanese have seen what has happened to Ukraine and won't want tp repeat it on their land.
-China has given two conditions under which they could attack Taiwan- if they announce seccession and if the US puts significan US forces on Taiwan. Both unlikely to happen.
- China can more easily achieve its political objectives on Taiwan without going to war. They are already more than halfway there since all but a handful of tiny countries have recognised the "one China" formula. India alsorecognises the one China formula.
- The Taiwan situation has been created in order that it may be used to "contain" China and if needed to act as a casus belli to attack China. Given the US/NATO condition in Ukraine I doubt they want to repeat it in Taiwan.
