Clutch on my 2008 1.8 Mazda 6 is quite flimsy and I have never liked the feeling of it. Could this possibly solve that problem? I think I'll try to change brake fluid and bleed the slave cylinder first before changing it.

That is a good idea, That would be first step before needed to change the clutch or adjusting the pedal itself

Most of the time i struggle to engage 1st and 2nd gear as the gear stick will be stiff.what might be the problem?

That could be many things, starting bad gears, sinkros dead, no/ low fluid, your shifter bushings worn. Any of them, or could be even something else.
Without more info, it's a guessing game.

Hi Klavs. My 6 GH has a problem with 1-2 gear shift. I changed gearbox oil but same thing. I adjusted shift cables but no result. I have a feeling like the clutch is not disengaging fully and from time to time I have a weird feeling on clutch pedal like it has shorter travel and then it is back to normal. Did you have this problem with 1-2 gear change before replacing slave cylinder or is any of this familiar to you? Cheers

      Hi Maksim.
No, I didn't had any problems with the gear changes before chaining the cylinder.
If it's a clutch problem, then it would do that in all the gears, not just 1-2. Does the gearbox make a noise or a strange sound, when you do the shift? How was the oil when you changed it? Did it had any glitter inside?

@@KlavsX_ It is hard to engage 1st and 2nd gear specially when cold which is normal to some extent. I tried 75w80 oil now back to factory 75w90 as it didnt make difference. There were no metal debries in old oil. I am an experienced driver and it is not the synchros sound as I had a car with that problem long time ago. When I shift quickly it makes a clunking sound it is not grinding noise,if I change 1-2 very slowly it is good. Also while car is running at idle at stop it is hard to engage 1st gear most of the time. My feeling is that clutch is not disengangin fully. I will try bleeding the clutch today and see as my mechanic told me last time when he replaced my brake fluid that he had troubles few times when bleeding the clutch he couldnt recover the clutch pedal so I told him to bleed just the brakes so clutch fluid is probably there since factory.

Alright, it's kind of hard for me to tell, as Online I can just play the guessing game ( You should never do that).
But let's go through this logically.
Gearbox are designed to shift smoothly in every gear, so that you have 1/2 issue could be something as small as, incorrectly aligned clutch to a stuck throw out bearing, or as big as your 1/2 gear shifter is lose and it's hanging in between gears ( * This is all a example*)
Fast shift you shouldn't be able to hear clunking, as I do power shift most of the time, (Welcome to London traffic), I can't hear any audible *cluck* from the gearbox itself.
Good that the oil was good, no glitter party.
Hold up, an actual mechanic ( You pay money for him to fix your car) should never say such words, be careful there.
On these Mazda's break and clutch fluid is one and the same, and you fill it up from the same reservoir.
Just saying general information, as for me it's hard to guess what it could be.

great video. it seems to me? or at the end of the video where you ride in the car, it looks like you have a bad power steering? I have the same problem, my car turns to the side by itself. will there ever be a power steering replacement video? it would be great

Yep, the car got bad electric power steering sensor. In future there will be a video how to fix it, as ALL gh 1 gen Mazda's got that problem if the electric steering haven't been changed
