Thanks for your honest review. You're one of the few people I know who didn't think PWB wasn't annoying. I did, very much so in fact to the point that she was beyond insufferable, killing and detracting any potential enjoyment I could have experienced from some of the sparsely better aspects of the movie. But I find it interesting how you're able to look past that and not seem to notice it at all. To me it's the elephant in the room that you didn't even address; how these heroes from our classic beloved movies are being depicted now as down-trodden, empty shells of their former selves where some other hero/heroine has to come in and show them how much better they are. It would have been nice (and Lucasfilm would have much more money) if they simply honored these classic heroes by making stories depicting them in the heroic fashion we've been wanting to see again all these years later. It would have made both the old and young crowds both happy and Disney/Lucasfilm would be swimming in money and not be in the current financial predicament they've gotten themselves into. Of course there are many other reasons why Disney is in dire financial straits, but this degradation of our heroes surely didn't help and kept people like me from throwing more money at them. I wouldn't have gone to see Indy 5, but a friend insisted I go and had already paid for my ticket in advance. I think that money would have been put to better use had I not gone at all and not add to it's box office numbers which I don't feel it deserves. And after seeing the movie, my friend agreed as well. But I think your summation at 12:30 is on point. And despite not agreeing with you on many things, I think you still made good observations and arguments on why you came to the conclusions you did. So great job!
