It was enough that Kenny was one of the greatest British players EVER, but what he did in support of the Hillsborough victims families outshines that. A totally, thoroughly decent man on every level. Modern players can't hold a candle to this man as a role model to youngsters.

Well said sir. There is things I can say but wont, but in my 66 years on this planet I have never seen a better player. There have been those that, under the current spotlight of world football that are widely considered to be better, granted, Messi and Maradona, fuck Ronaldo, he was only and still in it for himself. Dalglish was the perfect footballer, he saw things most dont. Rush would never have scored the amount of goals he did if it wasn't for KD,

But what KK had was amazing awareness and proprioception, sense of space, incredible touch on terrible pitches with a threat of (by today's standards) violence all around you. And he produced, individually in partnerships, and in his teams. Then he had success as a (player) manager, and as a man. Living legend.

To be perfectly honest, it's all subjective, one has to base a more factual representation upon how successful were both teams whilst both players were at their respective clubs and did both teams win their respective titles and cups because of each player or in spite of each player?
Effectively a squad player that never gets a first team start and only plays the last ten minutes of enough games in a season to qualify for a medal and who doesn't do enough to have any impact upon any of those games that they come on as a sub in could end up winning medals for every trophy on the table year in and year out, but that team would win those trophies in spite of their being at the club.
Whereas a player like Dalglish who played every game every season who contributes match winning goals that win the title as in 1986 and in finals as in 1978 you can say that Liverpool won trophies because of Dalglish.
I think the only way to genuinely come up with a defiitive answer to who had the greatest impact upon their respective club is to compare decisive goals scored by both players and discount and trophies or medals won by each player where say a final was won 1 - 0 after a different player scored in the final such as in 1981 when Alan Kennedy scored the winner against Real Madrid in the European Cup in Paris.
I believe anyone regardless of what club they support unless they are a bitter United fan would have to admit that Dalglish was the more successful player who had a greater impact in the game than Best.

The thing about Dalglish is that he wasn't especially naturally gifted. He wasn't that quick, he wasn't great in the air and he wasn't a dribbler either. Messi, all day every day.
      Zizou was great.
But in Britain, at that time, and in the European cup, Dalglish was fantastic. And I am biased. I’m Irish!😂

Sir Kenny was a Rangers fan before he signed for Celtic, one that got away from us. I'd have walked to Parkhead in bare feet over broken glass to sign for them anaw, even as a life long Bear.
I'd have been a Rangers fan again as soon as I left though. 😂 Off course he is entitled to switch allegiance..no issues with that. Best from Scotland EVER and defo one of the UK's best ever.

Greatness can be described in 3 words
    Kenneth Mathieson Dalglish.
George Best once said the only footballer that can hold a candle to Alfredo De Stefano is Kenny Dalglish.
Bob Paisley made bad players, good players, good players, great players and great players, Kenny Dalglish.
