Very well done. Clear and concise, and very much appreciated. For me, the front end is the only area of a VW that i do not have much experience with. You certainly made it look easy and a lot less intimidating. I would be curious to know how the steering box turned out, and if the alignment was as close as you were hoping to at least make it driveable.

When I hooked up my steering column I lucked out and the angle was perfect. I didn't have to do much adjustment and just torqued the steering box down. I may have skipped that step in my steering column video. But rotating it into place isn't hard as long as the bolts are loose.
Thank you! You can get most parts from West Coast Metric or Wolfsburg west, identical to Beetle parts for the beam and chassis. For the king pin/Spindle rebuild and link pins and shims, etc I used Kustom1 Warehouse.

I will post an update as soon as I can. The videos are trickling out once a week but the body isn't fully painted yet or on the road. I hope to have the car done by Spring of 2025 and will post a follow-up on the steering and alignment. Thanks for watching!

Glad I could help!

What great information! Well done... both car and video. Where do you source getting all of your miscellaneous parts?

Do you have a source you could share for all the hardware torque values?
