Well Justin was gifted with perfect pitch and a passion for music. His father and older sister are both musicians, so he has been surrounded by music. The perfect pitch allows him to learn music faster than the average musician, but his passion helps him sit at the piano, or the guitar, for hours and hours working on his craft.
Hey Tawanda! I actually teach those in my Chordal Moves & Progressions Class. Definitely check that course out here: skilledmusician.com/product/chordal-moves-progressions-course/
I think it’s fair to say it comes from his background as a drummer first... I’ve known/heard Glenn play since he was about 9 years old. He’s a drummer at heart and it shows through his playing the keys/organ
I know you've left several persons behind with this ...but most don't realize that playing the keyboard / piano is all about rhythms. The fingers playing the keys are really like playing a drum, only that the keys are tuned melodically. So it warrants everyone who wants to learn to play the keys to immerse themselves with rhythm...subdividing beats to be able to transform these patterns into melodic runs, licks and movements.🎶
Thanks! That app is Midiculous. I created a course showing exactly how I create my RUclips videos, teach online, and create our LiveStreams. You should definitely check it out - skilledmusician.com/product/how-to-create-an-online-studio/
Well thanks for being part of the channel! You are right, I do talk too much. I’m working on being more succinct in my speech. Thanks for the encouragement!
Rhythmic Displacement! Yes, Glen is wild when it comes to that stuff. Great topic Corey 👍🏽🔥🔥🔥
Thanks Warren!
Hey Corey there's a boy justin lee Schultz, how does one train a child to play like that? Because I feel he got the right training from the start.

its like a variation oa sir duke and then he ends in a gospel blues lick. a lot of his stuff is Stevie wonder lick from what i can tell. Thoughts?
Well, there are definitely elements of blues in both of their music, so definitely!

Well said Dennis! I agree!
It's like playing a phrase in a shorter time signature relative to the master time signature to displace the rhythm like they do in salsa
Nice observation! That’s exactly it!
@@SkilledMusician Wouldn't have noticed the 1/4 note trips. Thanks and amazing playing!
@@mhtbfecsq1 Yes those are great to use! Thank you so much for checking out this video!
