I play this game on the Nintendo switch and a more clear tutorial reminder would have been great indeed. I feel the game will be a learning experience for the studio. I believe they can improve.
Absolutely! I think a couple of decent patches would make all the difference, and all the 'big' issues are easily fixable. Very keen to see future updates 👀
great review, i like that you're not overhyping this game just because it's a "cozy" game. I found myself not liking a lot of the cozy games people say are great, but when one is good- they're great. I still haven't gotten around to playing SpiritTea but I'm gonna try it this weekend on my Asus ROG Ally
Thanks! I feel like it's important to give an honest opinion, and this was definitely a game I was hyped for. Definitely keen to see what you think once you've played!
I've got a whole other video with some recommendations on my channel ;) But it really depends on what type of games you like! There's so many good ones in so many shapes and sizes 🙈, we're definitely spoilt for choice!
I also noticed that in some locations there is no background music, not even any sound effects, which gives a very strange feeling. you can also sit on students at school and generally walk through the characters, which gives a slightly unpolished vibe. However, the story and humor seem interesting, but I still haven't decided whether to buy the full version
Yes I agree! The music just vanishing in parts was odd, and I agree the world interaction could be better. Absolutely a lot of potential, and hopefully it continues to get more and more polished with patches
I wasn't sure if I would be into this game or not, but i went for it because i like the day-to-day town sims but tend to be picky. Its a bit of a slow start but I've come to completely adore this game. I get where you come from on the shortcomings though, and enjoyed your review!
Thank you! There's a LOT to love about the game, and really all of the main 'issues' are ones that can easily be patched. Regardless, I'll still be playing anyway as it does have an addictive charm 🥰🥰
I was disappointed in myself for buying that game so quickly. I never usually do that. But I was in a slump and I really needed a game that was engaging, fun and relaxing. I had started like 4 or 5 different games and ended up not really liking any of them and I had a ton of larger games that were more demanding of my time that I wanted to play but wasn’t ready for. I thought this one would be perfect. The only other game that made me feel this lost was Graveyard Keeper which eventually ended up being a really fun and challenging game. The premise of this one is excellent and I can tell they put a lot of love into the game. I just think it’s a learning experience for the devs and I’m sure each game they put out will be better and better.
It definitely feels like it just misses the mark a bit. Always disappointing when the game you've been looking forward to playing doesn't live up to the hype 😭
This is the most bizarre video. The production quality is very high in contrast to the sub count. I would have thought it was a stolen video but you say the name of the channel in your video. It's wrinkling my brain. subbed
As someone who played moonstone Island, its great what got it inspired but as players were expected to know what the Devs are thinking. Where the heck you'd go for a repair kit? Time to visit each shop another ten times😢
Also idk if this is common but after the first mission of the game related to spirits the rest of the missions have not counted as completed missions nor in the notebook or in the town board. Even the spirit that follows our character continues to bother me near the little shrine telling me it’s not fixed even tho I completed that hours ago. Really frustrating cause I’m not finding any solution to this. Im playing on the switch btw
Dave the Diver is on my list! I do like the game! But liking something doesn't mean there's no issues or things I don't like within the game. With a few tweaks, I think it could be a really amazing game!
The cheap/lazy pixels art and the depressing brown-ish color palette are a deal breaker for me. I could have maybe pass on the lazy graphics but at least I need a colorful (mario-like color palette) game to feel relaxed and feel a positive vibe from the game
I don't mind the style, but you're right. It's definitely a more neutral pallet. I did find it quite dark, too, at times, which made it difficult to get around 😅

What would you recommend for a “cozy game”?

Right in the middle. Perfect review. They have a lot to work on and I hope that they do cause it has loads of potential.
Thank you! Glad to know I'm not the only one who feels this way 🥰

@@theindiebrew exactly, I think it's worth waiting for patches, because there is definitely potential for a good game :)

Thank you! I'm a pretty new channel so I'm still building, but thank you for your kind words! 🥰🥰

It definitely a confusing one!😢
Just so you know, this appeared on my recommended tab and I quite like it.
Thank you for your kind words! I'm glad you're here 🥰🥰
I love your style of review so I subbed!
Thank you!
appreciate honest reviews! keep it up
Thank you! Happy to help 🥰🥰
I liked it at first but it quickly became a slog. The pacing is terrible, the puzzles are vague, and it gets boring running around.
Yeah I agree! At first the novelty keeps you hooked, but it quickly gets grindy.

Oh what an annoying bug! I haven't come across anything, but I'm also playing on PC. Definitely report it if you can, that would be so frustrating!
Have tried talking to the character relating to the quest that sometimes work (I experienced the same problem with a quest with sinjin)
Play Dave the diver, but I feel you were a bit harsh… just my opinion though… kinda a really chill, cute game. I mean it sounds like you like it lol…
Dave the Diver is on my list!

Hey, there were some parts in the video where your voice is doubled. Nevertheless good video, thanks
Thanks for the feedback 🥰
I love the art and story in this game. Too bad the rest of it is doesnt hold up.
It's a great concept, just not executed very well. The dev is still updating the game, so hopefully some of the issues get fixed 🤞

Caffeine? Bleh gross! Drink beer. Pro gamer tip…
🤣🤣 I can not stand beer, but thanks for the tip 😅
I don't even want to try playing it becaue I can't get past the visuals. This game looks so ugly
I think it's a cute style, but I found it too dark in some places. It's definitely personal preference 🥰
Same and now with the publisher making disgusting tweets about the game etc, I'm boycotting it
@@louvella-sama what are they saying?😮
