@@nonso_7302 there were like 7 or 8 KA debuting, but Toshiyuki Sato, Naoki Kotani, Sute, Chanzard Vincent, Gem, Tokuyuki Matsutake., Shun Makayama, jordan bayes, rondeseo++ are very well know already. I'm still very impressed and happy for all this newcomers to the industry. What I'm trying to say is that it was a mix of both new young talent and experienced veterans from the industry and part of the main staff. What you said up there is right, i iust that I've see lots of comments sharing this same information but obviating the participation of our regular pierrot staff. Wich has lead to other people to Beleive that this ep was solely made by fans, and proceed to discredit studio pierrot or caling the main staff lazy when they all are clearly involved.

Episode 167 is another ambitious episode, just like episode 63 was for Black Clover back in 2018. The difference here is that they learned their lesson and gained experience from the mistakes from episode 63. You see it reflected here in the better coregraphy, more polished backgrounds and directing. Black Clover episode 167 also gave an opportunity for many overseas aniamators from countries like America, Mexico, France, the UK, Canada, Korea, China, and much much more. Best thing of all, many of these animators were Black Clover fans who wanted to work on the series to help send it off with a goodbye while also showcasing their skill to become a part of the industry(many of which were teens 17-19 and this talented!). This is their love letter to Black Clover, and it's beautiful. Thank you all for you hard work on giving us one of the best animated episodes of the year! When Black Clover returns in a about 2 years, just know that they will repay it for giving them the gateway they needed to become part of the industry. Black Clover will return with a punch, a chip on its shoulder and a stacked staff to back it up! As as always, great reaction guys!
Fun fact : a majority of this ep was animated by debutants !! most of them were god level fan animators before today , so its actually a very proud moment both for their fans and themselves . its great to see the person you have been following grow and make it onto the big scene....

Black clover fights get so epic. This is one of the greatest fights in all of black clover. And from what i’ve been hearing. Is alot of the animators made their first debut in the business and they’re fans of this show so cool!

Yami acknowledges Asta's strength, Two of the most favourite Characters fighting alongside each other, Asta power up was insane, I think it's safe to say that this is the best black clover episode to date.

They just need more time to animate and by doing that they also get more context to make after the arc. Like when the Anime started the Manga wasn't that far ahead, maybe like 100 chapters but that's it. They don't need that many chapter
Hopefully the break IS long. The gap between the anime and the manga isn't large, and I do not want a Hueco Mundo situation where they throw in a filler arc in the middle of a big arc because of how little manga content is left to animate. The anime needs at least 2 years off the air for a decent sized gap to be present again.

Without any breaks/holidays that is equivalent to 104 chapters (but let's be real it'd amount to maybe 96 chapters due to health and holidays). 96 chapters is about 38.4 episodes, which is a solid gap to work with. Black Clover has benefited greatly from the fact that there has rarely been any filler content because of the size of the gap between the anime and the manga. The reason for its break is probably in part due to the fact that they don't want to throw in a bunch of filler. One Piece is not a great example because it is a weekly manga whose anime extends a single chapter into a full episode and has recaps/intros that take up a large portion of an episode. This is only acceptable due to how popular One Piece is worldwide and people are going to consume it no matter what.
i think this was the best episode because the animation was fan made. that is huge for the community and an amazing send off for an anime that was given so much heart and soul in its production despite the insane amounts of obstacles the staff had to deal with
Yuno first transformation was a Spirit Dive ...Spirit Of Zephyr one of the wind gods of the 4 seasons in Greek Mythology and he is getting another transformation when he face Zenon again

This for me this has to be the number one best fight for black clover, Main reason is for Asta's huge character growth, he went from only wanting to be wizard king to becoming a man yami will acknowledge and recognize as an equal and to live up to yami's expectations. But also for the first time Asta felt weak, through all his fights he never felt weak and had a never giving up attitude no matter who his opponent was but here for the first time he acknowledges how "weak" he is in comparison to Dante and Yami and we'll see how this affects him later on as the story progresses. Not to mention the god tier animation and chorography this episode received due to the hard work of everyone who partook in animating this ep. Also I like to believe op 1 didn't play in this fight bc it's always been a deciding factor for when the battle ends, and it didn't play here bc the battle is only beginning
If I have to say in my opinion this is the best animated and emotional episode. People say 100 was better but that’s because it was really the first time black clover got real good animation and the opening made the episode. 167 however emphasizes the growth of Asta and him and Yami’s respect for each other. Yami being the first to acknowledge Asta(besides Yuno) and given him a job as magic knight to the work his way up to Wizard king all factors in. This episode just was a roller coaster of emotions.
Props to the Young talented Animators who working on this Episode they actually surpass the limit. Btw the Final Episode will be called as (Haruka Mirai)

Zenon is clearly using spatial magic. Besides the giant portal behind him, notice that when Finral tried to open a portal so that Rouge could touch Yami it got nullified. Spatial magic counters spatial magic just like his brother Langris.
You can tell how resourceful the production team is considering how they obviously do not have big budget for the anime itself compared to some other animes but they are still able to use their resources where it counts and animate in such a way that it conveys the flow and tension of the combat so well.
Fun fact .. The studio actually contacted a lot of people who want to animate to do this Episode.. Most of the old crew have left already. So the fact that real Black Clover fans did this makes it so much better!!!
The elf that possessed Gauche back then was called Droite. And me being a French speaker thought since ep 10 that Gauche had a lost brother yet to be revealed
A lost brother would be cool but not sure how that would play out since we seen gauche and Marie very young getting there parents killed and losing everything. It could be he got trapped or lost in the mirror world that gauche talks about and that could also be a reason gauche has a unhealthy attachment with Marie because he lost his other sibling by not listening to him and that is why now whatever marie says he does. It would be really interesting to see gauche with a brother.

FUN FACT almost all the animators for this episode were huge fans of the show. The main team for black clover hired a bunch of new webgen animators that made there first debut here. This episode was pretty much a love letter to black clover from the whole team. Another fun fact. To pass on your sword is to also pass on your debts. @@monkei4 I mean even before 100%, at 80%, he was almost immortal. He was only defeated by anti magic. Yami could have defeated zenon with a death thrust. And lucifero is the strongest devil.
Also I agree with something that you said about the elves. I think that the elves are that other race (instead of devils). During the elf arc, the main elves were called apostles & each was related to a specific spot in a circle related to the tree of life (these spots can be seen in the papers that the spy saw in Dante's room) which is the opposite of the tree of qliphot or tree of death where the devils reside.

Probably aren't important. If its a Wizard King, then the reason he or she probably was switched out because they died. Even if they didn't, they should be old now
He's not it's still Dante. Asta and Yami just isn't a great match up for anyone as they can both nullify the strongest parts of Dante's magic and matchups in BC still matter a lot. Had Zenon or Vanica faced them they would lost a lot easier given that body magic and gravity magic is incredibly broken. I can assure you Dante is strongest of three.

FUN FACT: In ending 12 there was a Easter Egg where you saw Asta's swords and one of those swords is a Katana Yami's Katana.

Also I agree with something that you said about the elves. I think that the elves are that other race (instead of devils). During the elf arc, the main elves were called apostles & each was related to a specific spot in a circle related to the tree of life (these spots can be seen in the papers that the spy saw in Dante's room) which is the opposite of the tree of qliphot or tree of death where the devils reside.

Honestly Zenon looks way cooler than Dante I always thought he was going to be the strongest
He's not it's still Dante. Asta and Yami just isn't a great match up for anyone as they can both nullify the strongest parts of Dante's magic and matchups in BC still matter a lot. Had Zenon or Vanica faced them they would lost a lot easier given that body magic and gravity magic is incredibly broken. I can assure you Dante is strongest of three.
