  • When this was on sale I got one. It's a very nice high wing RC plane with flaps and navigation lights which is all I need in a bush plane.
I've replaced the stock ESC to an Avian 30A to make it 4s compatible.
    I fly mine with a 4s 2200mAh battery using a Spektrum NX10.
    Technical data
    Wing-span (mm): 1300
    Empty weight approx. (g): 1310
    Length (mm): 1060
    Battery: 3s 2200mAh

I also own the Bigfoot and actually learned to fly with it last summer..... it's my favorite high wing 3S trainer type plane, with flaps .......if possible, I would be greatly interested in seeing a video of exactly how to access, remove and upgrade the ESC for 4S LiPo capabilities ....and now that I have a bit more experience, I know I am not the only one who would like to see this plane, with a bit more power...thanks much for the informative video .....

I can't remember exactly how I replaced the ESC but often one have to remove the front cowl plastic piece to be able to remove the ESC and replace it.

im amazed that the eflite Valiant is more capable to fly slower than the Bigfoot ive seen some Super Slow Flight on the Bigfoot before stalling.

Valiant is lighter so it will fly slower in my experience.

Do you think that those leading edge spoilers have much impact on the flight envelope of this plane?

It's difficult to say without removing them. But it's a fantastic flying machine so I guess the wing is done the right way.

Did you glue the wing struts? I didn't see the clips.

No they had good tension without clips so didn't put them on this time.

Are you using spektrum batteries and the xt-60 adapter?

As I swapped ESC I use the IC3 connector to my Spektrum batteries on the Bigfoot but on other planes I own I use the XT60 into the IC3 on spektrum batteries.

    Husky, BugFoot, Timber Evolution??
    What should I buy??

I would pick Bigfoot as the most fun but the Turbo Timber Evo is such a complete package and flies great so as always very difficult to choose. That's why I have both.

If you haven't looked at the Hobbyzone Apprentice S2 it's a great step from the UMX planes. Very easy to fly but still enjoyable when you gain more confidence.

Did you change out the Esc when you went to fly it on 4s?
