    Fantastic mods mate , if you want to bring the side stand up a bit I always mount a hockey puck on the base it’s a 1 inch thick and can be shaped . The SWM RS and Superduel brake line was the same I cable tied out of the way . With the saving of the pipe weight helps account for all the other bling we put on our bikes 😂😂😂, but definitely weight from up high is a good 👍 thing . Mate to lower you bike a bit more just drop you forks through the triple clamps about 10mm ( you know me Roz a short ass as well ) do it with most bikes I have owned better than dropping with links . I get VERY excited 😆 when you use a grinder 😂😂😂, it’s my favourite tool 👍.I have the same compressor had it for at least 8 years GOLD.

    • @RozalynVeersma
      @RozalynVeersma  2 года назад

      I’ve still got the Kouba link to lower another 45mm BUT I’m waiting until I get my custom pannier racks made and will load the bike up adventure ready. Once that’s done, I’ll get my suspension guy to tune the suspension for my weight, full load and style of riding. If it then needs to go lower, I’ll install the Kouba link and won’t have to touch the side stand height and then get the geometry of the bike reset again (includes fork height). Oh my poor brain! 🤦🏻‍♀️😂

      You are making up for lost time of your youth. Motorcycling lives in your soul, a yearning to explore and discover, vista to see. The Little machines set your soul free and allow you to imagine the best of things. Some people don't get it. The freedom to explore your own soul, listen to your thoughts as you ride. At the times when you crash you are learning how to string together new varieties of cuss words. I'm always upset at myself, I'm sure you are as well.
      More shots of you tippy towing before you put on your luggage on the bike. It will squat some when you put the luggage on. You may get the balls of your feet solidly on the ground.
      We are all together on these two wheel contraptions trying to find goodness in our soul. The world is crazy.
      Man oh man, that CRF 300 look huge with you sitting on it. You're making it look better and better.

      Watching a woman work on a bike is a bit too arousing for me. Watched Vanessa ( Girl on a bike) blow a dent out of her expansion chamber with compressed air and a gas axe , and had to go and have a little lay down afterwards...

    • @RozalynVeersma
      @RozalynVeersma  2 года назад +1

      @@gregjetnikoff7124 I could…but if I left them where they are, I could move the configuration if/when I wanted to strap other temporary luggage there and wouldn’t have to undo the bolts to remove the straps. Rok straps are top of the range durability wise having had the existing set out in the weather and on the trails for over 2 years with daily use and they’re in awesome nick. And if anything did happen to either side of the strap where I’d have to replace one or both them, then I wouldn’t have to undo the seat bolts again to swap it out. Keeping everything simple and easy this time 🤞😂

    My goodness, you're a handy girl. Excellent work on the heat shield. Although I like seeing the power bomb. I have an American dr-z 400 off-road only with an FMF power bomb made of titanium. I didn't know how lean the DRZ was until I saw the header pipe glowing red in the dark. Titanium is beautiful when it's hot. I rejected it and then rejected it again until the pipe was no longer red... Holy cow it melted the bottom of my front fender. That thing was as red as an old cigarette lighter in a car. Also installed cams. Recluse clutch, since I am an old man, you never know when the hands will give out.
    I'm sure with your background and your son' drifting tendencies, you have heard the phrase "bat out of hell". All of those mods woke up the DRZ to where I've had to change the phrase. It's a bat going to hell on a rocket...NICE
    That was a fun shot of you mounting the 300 with the camera at the back of the bike, allowed all of us to see you tippy towing. That's cute. I thank God for long legs. I have several off-road motorcycles with modified suspension, even greggie has to tiptoe when the seat height is 39 inches.
    Loved the video of you working on your bike. I love the tinkering. I'm looking forward to more of the same.
    Dry as a nuns nasty, I don't think I'll ever forget that. I thought I might get struck by lightning just for watching that part of your video

      Unfortunately most fires here are started by pyromaniacs or dry lightening. Both are devastating. 😔🙏🔥 When it’s too hot here, we have ‘fire bans’ and on those days, you’re not allowed to ride (or drive) in the fire prone areas, let alone use a chain saw or even a BBQ. It’s pretty strict and fines apply if you get caught. We’re all very much onto what is safe & what’s not. 😁👍

      Thanks m8! 😜👍🏁 I went straight from a KTM 350 Freeride to the Honda CRF250L. The Honda took me on a 450 day epic adventure ride around Australia (mostly dirt) and clocked up 49,500kms. The bike has done 82,000 hard kilometers mostly fully loaded with 2 panniers, top bag, extra fuel/water (circa 30-40kgs of adventure gear) in just under 3 years. I don’t know of many bikes that have accomplished the hard work that was asked of it and with absolutely minimal issues and low maintenance. So to upgrade to the CRF300L was a no brainer for me. Tried & tested & proven would be an understatement! 😂👍🏁🏍💨 Before getting the CRF250L, I did consider the WR250R and though it was slightly more powerful, had adjustable front suspension, was slightly more expensive…it was the height factor that ruled it out for me. No doubt about Honda quality & reliability given the price tag. I’m happy to spend a bit more on doing the CRF300L upgrades as I know I won’t be thinking about the cash I’ve spent when I’m having the best time ever on the trails. Priceless adventure rides & priceless memories! 😁🙏

    The holes in the stock MotoX dBkiller are insufficient to flow the exhaust gas at higher gas flows. If you want to have it quieter than the open pipe, drill the 8 holes to 11mm. That will be a bit louder but flow sufficiently at high rpm .

    I have that seat, and the full sheep skin but don't need the skin. The seat is more comfortable without it, lower too. The D606 is the wrong tyre for that bike. too tall, too heavy and makes a sidestand adjustment necessary. Improve your bike and fit a 120/80 standard tyre next time, if you haven't already.

    • @RozalynVeersma
      @RozalynVeersma  6 месяцев назад

      The seat with my light weight is excruciating and I wouldn’t be able to spend a couple of hours on it without the sheep skin unfortunately. I’ve tried many brands of tyres both front & rear in the 100,000kms covered over 3 years on every type of difficult terrain Australia has to offer and so far, the D606 on the rear has been the perfect tyre and goes the distance compared to the other brands & sizes I’ve tried. I think tyres come down to personal choice as everyone has different riding styles, set ups, loads, favoured terrains, etc. Until another better tyre comes along, I’ll be sticking to the D606 for my off the beaten track fully loaded up adventures! 🤞😁🏍

      Now that you’ve brought up the subject of sense, I’ll try my best to give you a bit of depth and breadth to your narrow opinion. 🤞😂🍀
      My cheap ass CRF250L with its mod’s & upgrades did 82,000kms of amazing trails in 3 years since new and it’s still going strong! 💪😁🏍
      I didn’t need convincing that buying the cheap ass new CRF300L plus upgrades was worth every cent I spend on it because its already proven how reliable, agile, light weight & super low maintenance these bikes are.
      I know more than a few adventure riders with their $20k+ BMW’s, KTM’s, Huskies, AT’s, Tenere’s, etc. (not forgetting that they too accessorize & upgrade bits on their bikes) would be lucky to clock up 5,000kms of riding each year! 🤷🏻‍♀️🏍💸
      So you have to ask yourself…who’s getting more bang for their buck and is having the best time ever?! 🤔🤷🏻‍♀️ I’d say that would be me! ☝️😂
      And when I drop that cheap ass bike with its quality upgraded bits, unlike the big ticket bikes, I don’t have to sell a kidney to replace a lever or indicator! 🤣💸
      Now let’s work on your maths skills because I’m at a loss to see how you arrived at the figure of $20k! 🤓🧮…🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️😂
