Great video. I went through orientation in January. There have been minor changes since you started. The orientation was in a class room at Indiana Transport. They gave us a paper listing the apps to download to your phone and how to configure them. Indiana Transport has also added a requirement to have your mud flaps inspected by Dan's hitch or Dually Depot. This was a very quick and easy step.
Good deal and thanks for the information and updates. Be safe

If you buy a truck and make it a RV transport. If you’re retired and want to travel, and can afford a truck. Go for it. I tried making a living at this. My truck was worn out before I paid for it. It’s 150,000 miles a year.
Mine was too, so many miles couldn't trade or sell it, still stuck with it and a hole in no.4 piston.
435 thousand miles. Work was good at first then slowed way down. Can't work anywhere else.
We already transport vehicles out of.
Thanks for the good idea and the information how do campers with a truck.
Thanks for watching
When my husband applied last fall, they only mentioned one insurance company and he assumed it was the only one they accepted. They were expensive but we got it. A couple months later he found out about another ins company and it was half the price! So yes, if they don’t mention more than one company, please ask! Our favorite thing about IT (I do drive aways) is the self dispatch 👍🏻
Me too and your right. Thanks for watching

Great video and information. I don't talk to dispatch either just when booking a load. I may consider Indiana Transport as a secondary company if they have a drive away division.
They do. Yeah ck out 2 or 3. I definitely did not make this video to recruit for Indiana they got people they get paid for that 😂
I’ve been watching several of your videos the last few days and they have all been very good. I just reached 30 year service with my current job and thinking about retirement to try something different. I have a 2019 3500 single wheel duramax and fifth wheel hitch for my personal camper.
Sorry somehow I hit the send button to soon...anyway I would probably like to try it out part time to make sure that it is something that I like before making the decision to retire. Can you do short Friday - Sunday runs just to start out? Thanks
Yes you can… You only have to haul at least one load a month.. But I would haul more because of insurance and other expenses.. Thanks for watching.. If you have any more questions just ask..

I’ve been thinking about coming over to Indiana Transport. Just because the company I run for said they were raising the rates to $2.00 to come out west and the highest rate I’ve seen is $1.80. And the fuel discount is only .20-.40 cents, and they said it would be higher than that. I’m going to do a couple more runs to see if it gets any better. If not I might be coming to Indiana.

Hey man, interesting video and some good knowledge before hand. One Q though, what is with this 26K tag? I've a CA DL and MT plates but neither state have any info on 26K registration?
Great video. Everything is still pretty much the same as of a month ago.

Do you always go back to Indiana empty or are there Loads around the country that you can haul towards Indiana to make money? If you take A 5th wheel to California. Are there 5th wheels or bumper Poles in California going to the Midwest or would you have to dead head all the way back to Indiana.
I deadhead by to Indian. Sometimes they will put back hauls on the board.
That's alot of deadheading. If I did that, I'd have to charge $4.00 per loaded mile to offset the cost of dead head and lost revenue. What does Indiana transport pay?
@@davidfulkerson1187 that depends on the load and the camper. I put the load pay in all of my videos. But it’s not $4 a mile. 😂 I wish.
Your sandwich maker🤣🤣🤣
If we are paying insurance, it's worth just getting a MC /Dot and run your own loads for 3 dollars a mile instead of 1 dollar loads
If you can get the loads yes that’s what I would do. Lot more money
@@mr.tennessee used to be on the transport company's insurance and ran under their MC you can contract with the manufacturers of the rv and arrange steady loads in oregon im not sure about Indiana though
You were kinda enough to answer my last question so I’m hoping you answer another. I just started driving for Indiana transport and I live down in Texas. Yesterday the load board had tons of loads so I headed out to Indiana. Today (Saturday) I looked and there’s only 5 loads on the board! Thanks and yes you can
Like to hear more on whether or not you can make decent money. Thanks
Doing it in the wintertime kind of sucks. It’s kinda hard to say really don’t know how much money you need a month. It’s less money than when I was doing it. Like California’s right now you can make about 2000 2100 after fuel. When I was doing it, it was paying a whole lot more.
Thank you for helpful videos. Does the driver have to have a CDL, chauffeurs, or regular drivers license?
Thank you and you don’t have to have a CDL to do this. But we are slow right now.
What size truck should I start with. 3/4 or 1ton or bigger like an f450. Will gas work or do I need to have the headaches of diesel.
@rileyhiggins4753 the truck size is up to you. I like the 3/4 truck myself. You can use gas but I diesel I think is the best choice.
Personally I would have a sleeper on the truck, who would sleep in the back of a regular cab.
I have seen some trucks with sleepers on there truck
Question: what was your speed during the video? I see you passing many and passed by but a few. I’m convinced that allot of these rigs are delivered with stuff broken inside due to the speeds of the delivery drivers. I know it’s worse after an RV show … I remember being passed by a caravan of RVs being transported back to the dealer at speeds in excess of 80mph
I don’t remember how fast I was going. But if I’m loaded then I’m usually doing between 60 to 65. Got to save that fuel.
It’s interesting. Indiana Transport and Synergy are both owned by Patrick Industries, but there are so many differences. I’m leased with Synergy and like that pretty much. They all have pros and cons.
Another great video. Thanks. See you out there.
You are exactly right.. it’s crazy.. Thanks for watching

do you have to go to elkhart to pick up your loads everytime or does the load board let you pick up in different cities

We do have a few other yards around. But most the time is going back to Elkhart. I can’t tell you what Truck to get, but in my opinion, I will only buy ram because of the cummins
What’s a typical day for miles driven? Do you typically drive multiple days for 1 delivery?
All depends on where you want to go. If you go to ca it a 3 or 4 day trip. Some trips you can do in one day. 600 to 700 miles on a long day
Do they pay for deadhead miles

Yes..I drove for Indiana transport..I'd do it again,, synergy good as well....u can make money if you are conservative..get aux tank..it'll pay for itself in a couple months....but the real good money is in multihaul.....I'd probably go with synergy cuz they will let u do multihaul with pickup (I think)..and I think they have the multi haul trailers to use..this is a decent gig if you are smart... PEOPLE!!..don't buy a new truck...if u are putting 150k or more on your truck in a year, u lose a crap ton of value in first year...buy a good 5-10 year old truck.....this guy says aux tank costs 1000....u can get set up with tank and pump for half that, just won't be fancy....I started out with a 400 dollar 106 gallon tank and a manual pump with hose..
I’ve been pulling for IT for 2 years now and it cost $260 more to pull a trailer to Texas than a year ago but I’m 76 years old and and grippi
