I believe that Farinelli movie version of this song is so incredible. But it is nice to to be reassured that it is when it is compared, back to back, with other versions.
The artificial composited (Ragin-Madowleska) voice used in ‘Farinelli’ still sounds better than all the other examples, not only by virtue of technique (clear and precise) but also by the attractiveness of the da capo arrangement. I really wish the film soundtrack album included this aria. Strange that it didn’t. It was my favorite part of the film - a scant 1 minute and 15 seconds.
A real "tour de force" here. Though to be absolutely precise just 2 of them should be considered in similar conditions: Philippe Jaroussky and Franco Fagioli.
the singers have to be suicidal to perform such MATERIAL . It's a known voice killer . Ms Bartoli singing now resembles. more dog's barking then BEL CANTO

Monsieur qJaroussky notre contre-ténor !quel talent.
All of them. It's a privilege to have such artistry recorded for our pleasure.

J’adore
