  • Have you ever felt the burden of grief or shame? Or the feelings of despair and hopelessness that come from making poor choices? Kelly did. She was lost. She was a drug addict, a prostitute, and she was unable to care for her children. Sometimes she didn’t even feel human. And what she was left with was a feeling of absolute fear, terror, and loneliness.
Kelly felt convinced that she would never be worthy of the Savior’s love. But what she didn’t realize was that even though she thought she was beyond saving, God’s love is unconditional. It wasn’t until she began to consider the idea that maybe there could be hope in Jesus Christ that her healing began.
Kelly’s life didn’t change overnight. But with the support of her family, and by seeking repentance, she began to feel forgiveness from her Savior.
Do you know that God loves you? Do you know that you’re never too broken or too damaged for God’s grace to save you?
Jesus Christ has the power to heal your wounds.

Powerful. What this woman went through had me in tears and sobbing, and I'm a guy. We're not supposed to cry lol. I am glad she found the Savior and was able to heal through the atonement. The father loves all his children no matter what they struggle with. I'm a wayward child myself trying to find my way back to the gospel right now. I thank God for Christ and his atonement. I also thank him for healing those who are suffering like this woman was. I am happy for her.

I was a drug user, drank a lot and smoked 2 packs of cigarettes a day. I was convinced I would die in that state. Thanks to God's grace and mercy I was able to quit all those things and was baptized in 2008. I have been drug, alcohol and tobacco free for 11 years and have no explanation other than the power of our Heavenly Father's mercy and love. I'll never go back. Only forward. Thank you Heavenly Father in Jesus' name. Amen.

2 years, 7 months, 12 days clean today. We do not come close to comprehending all the atonement of our Savior can do for us. Indeed, all things are by Him and through Him. With His stripes we are healed. Anyone, ANYONE can be healed on condition of their willingness to let Him heal them. His arms are outstretched, He calls to us without ceasing. He loves us.

We now have 3 three beautiful children together and are continuing to grow together in his grace constantly. I promise that His love is farther and deeper than our shallow egos can comprehend. For the longest time I believed I would have to face all of my challenges alone. I had made all the choices in my life so now I had to live with them. I became lost, & I was afraid. I was taken advantage of. & many times left in some scary situations. After joining the church I started a new life. Many years & after getting married, I relapsed & my life became unmanageable again. My believe was, even though I had been a member many years was I have to fix this problem. Of course I made a mess out of things. I lost everything. I spent many years wandering & lost. I stopped praying. I had no direction. It was not until recently I hit the bottom, I'm not sure where that is, but it happened. Fortunate for me, because I cried out to Father. He was always there, but I didn't look for Him, I believed I was unworthy so I didn't bother. Because of His mercy I am back. I feel like I have worth. I know now He did not ever stop loving me. I will always remember I am a child of a loving Father.

The Atonement is real. Videos like this really help me to understand a little better what God feels. That it doesn’t matter where we have been or what mistakes we have made, He rejoices when we make any step to come closer to Him and loves us incomprehensible throughout our whole journey. I felt that joy for her myself hearing her story. Life is so much more about where we are going with the help of the Savior than where we have been in the past. ❤️

Yes! yes yes yes yes yes. What a powerfully moving testimony! Talk about moving mountains! I'm a convert who wanted baptism and didn't know where to get baptized. The Lord knew my heart and by some miracle twenty years ago I came across the Book of Mormon after reading the New Testament and wanting to get baptized. I opened up the phone book and called some churches and saw The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and I'd only Heard about the Book of Mormon one time. I was baptized but then fell into inactivity and now I'm in the process of repentance. I have a real testimony of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I am extremely thankful. I love y'all.

Christ not only has the ability to forgive the true repentant sinner completely and fully, but he also has the ability to help us to change our very nature, so that eventually we can become perfectly obedient. Perfection will take a very long time to achieve, but Christ can help get us there, by helping us take one small step at a time towards him consistently!

You have no idea of how much I appreciate you sharing your story! It's good to know that there are others out there who have gone through the worst anyone can ever imagine and were able to find their way back to the Saviour. Sister i don't know you but I love you with all my heart.

This was helpful. It's hard to relate with or feel accepted by members of the church when you have made serious mistakes.

Thanks for tuning in, Kade. No one is perfect; we all fall short. Our Heavenly Father loves you and will forgive you as many times as you choose to believe and repent. You are needed and loved, and it is His opinion that counts! You or others interested can learn more about forgiveness here: www.comeuntochrist.org/site/beliefs/forgiveness#ForgiveYourself

He stands with His arms outstretched all the day long, just as He did for this sister. Go and find your Bishop if you are a member or go to church of jesuschrist.org and ask for the missionaries to come. Reach out in prayer and you can find peace and hope and self esteem to know you are a child of God with value that is worth being redeemed.

This is one of those wonderful stories that shows god know each of us individually and personally and the he answers prayers the way that he knows we need. I love being a part of the church and I am thankful for god in my life and all he has done for me.

Tears just flowed from my eyes as I watch this vid, Jesus Christ came because He knew we would sin that He know we needed Him. Only if we allow Him to come into our lives that He can be able to heal us. Very powerful story of trust and love. Truly truly Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love us and knows the things that our heart can't speak because They created us in Their image.

Kelly, God Our Heavenly Father loves us all beyond description & His pure love for all His children is an absolute truth! He is no respector of persons, the journey to change & the process of repentance is real, I think at times it's more difficult to forgive ourselves, even after God has forgiven us & the Scriptures & Prophets have made clear that The Lord will remember no more the sins that we have repented of & that God has forgiven. The law of Mercy is more powerful than the law of Justice & both laws are in effect in all our lives... Faith in Our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ & true repentance with real intent is the beginning of a whole new life for all of us no matter who we are or where we came from or what sins beset us all. The power of The Atonement of Jesus Christ is infinite & eternal, & every knee shall bow & every tongue confess that Jesus is The Christ, The Only Begotten of Our Heavenly Father, The Savior & Redeemer of all mankind, the promised Messiah!!! We all should pray for Charity, which is the pure love of Christ!!! Welcome home Kelly❤

I may have been born in the church but my Mom was not. She with the help of one of her friends found the church and was baptised, also my Mom had left this friend because she had the missionarys over in the first place, finding my Dad at a dance by Chance because he didn't even want to go but he did because his brother was going. And was not a member but eventually he was and is, and than they dated for a few months before they got married!
