This is why it's so difficult to choose a proper one for yourself. I have Arctis 1 Wireless, too, which I was gifted. Except that I have had them for years, And it's a mediocre headset. Audio quality is hella average and you just cannot enjoy games audio. Lack of dynamic, flat profile even when adjusted in software, poor bass, closer to lack of it. Build quality is good, comfort is very good, battery backup is good, ergonomy is good. But without audio quality it's all meaningless. Those are good for the price. For a budget headset, it's good. Nothing more. If someone is looking for actual good, without a price tag attached, stay away from them. Especially if you like quality audio, use good studio setups, DAC etc. You won't enjoy playing games in those. It'll feel like headphones for 10 bucks regarding audio quality.

Hi im about to buy it, i have bought elite headset and im hearing some popping low latency sounds so im thinking to buy h9 could you please tell me how you was your h9 and its cons?
The play station without a doubt looks cooler though but some specs have to be better, like the mic and many different devices connected in one headset, unlike the arctic nova pro . But overall if I were to choose between the both, I would most likely choose the play station heaset.
Sony Inzone H9 is $200 cheaper in Canada and now it comes in black so it's hard to pick the the Nova Pro but I would understand why someone would pay extra for those headphones.

hahaha first world problems 🤣 I have this same situation , I don’t really see it being a big problemo as you can just quickly plug and unplug the dac of the nova pro into your pc or console as your going to have to do this with dongle receiver of the h9 anyway, or you could simply just plug the aux into the ps5 controller also as a second option
I have a bit. Sometimes I wont really notice it, but the headset has to be in the exact right spot. If I move it at all, then I will feel the nubs and my ears will feel a bit sore, rubbed raw after wearing. Does anyone know if the steelseries supports the PS5's auto switching audio feature? Like, my PS5 is hooked up in my living room and sends audio to my audio system through HDMI. With the 3D Pulse headset, the PS5 can detect when the headset powers on and off and auto switch to the headset when I want audio output there and automatically switch back to HDMI audio when I power off the headset. Wondering if the Steelseries does this as well. I have a Razr BlackShark V2 Pro that does NOT support that feature. So I have to go to the PS5's audio settings every time I want to switch between headset and HDMI audio output.
*Sony needs to do work on the microphone?* The Sony mic volume was much more consistent. Your voice kept fading away and was hard to hear you on the Steel Series.
I will wait for the inzone to release a black version and then I'm definitely getting one. Have a black faceplate on my PS5 and I don't want anymore white accessories. @@berengerchristy6256 that's an L take that you care so much about someone caring about someone else's personal preference of someone else's personal preferences
Let me just say this so everybody understands: All wireless headsets have crappy microphone quality because there is a bandwidth issue. The majority of the wireless signal is dedicated to deliver as high sound quality as possible to the headset, and they leave a small part for the microphone. That’s why these microphones sound so similar. The best option is to use a separate michrophone that stands on your desk or mounted to a boom arm if you want your friends to hear you like you’re sitting next to them and not like a call from india.
Sony sucks when it comes to sound quality. They're only known for having the best ANC. If you what elite sound quality from a headset/headphones, you go with Sennheiser, EPOS, Beyerdynamics, Audeze, meze, etc.

Dude. The mics sounded the same to me. You could hear the snapping of your fingers on both headsets. I don't know what you are talking about. I listened to the video several times just to confirm my findings from this video. There was no difference as far as I'm concerned.
Thanks for this, it really helped!
Got the Arctis Pro Wireless headset 1 year ago, and the game doc screen had burn in. Steelseries doesn’t honor their warranty if bought from a 3rd party such as Best Buy where mine was from, so I’m basically beat. Will never purchase a steelseries product ever again.
i'm going to buy H9 because of its slick aesthetic design and noise-cancellation function, but i must admit that SteelSeries has the overall better function....but i'm the type of person that goes for aesthetic than functionality xD thanks for the review video
Hi im about to buy it, i have bought elite headset and im hearing some popping low latency sounds so im thinking to buy h9 could you please tell me how you was your h9 and its cons?
Thanks for video! Was trying to decide between these two exact headsets. Think I’m going with Nova Pro as of now.
dude you kidding me? sony mic was way way way better than muffled steel series that was not even consistent
does the high res audio work on console or just for pc
Well what about the audeze Penrose. Does that not beat both
You can connect the H9’s to two devices at once, one through dongle, one through Blutooth
Hello would this work with playing on console while having Bluetooth on pc?
Does the headset mute if you press mute on the ps5 controller though?
Yes it works on the H9. But not on the Pulse 3d
can steelseries work 2 device console n handphone in sametime.
how is the bass on the sony ones?
The play station without a doubt looks cooler though but some specs have to be better, like the mic and many different devices connected in one headset, unlike the arctic nova pro . But overall if I were to choose between the both, I would most likely choose the play station heaset.
You can connect multiple devices to the H9. And actually, the nova mic seemed worse. It kept getting quieter and seemed like it was cutting out
@@mastixencounter yeah I agree with that. It kept completely cutting out
I would say the Nova Pro looks waaaayyy better
@@Brett2000-p7q Agreed Nova Pro looks a lot better visually.
Sony Inzone H9 is $200 cheaper in Canada and now it comes in black so it's hard to pick the the Nova Pro but I would understand why someone would pay extra for those headphones.
Does the steel have fast charge like the H9 tho?
Did you compare the audio quality on any Ps exclusives like Returnal, demon souls, HFW etc ?
You don't need fast charging when you have two batteries
@@BabysitterSky I don’t see the point in needing to change the battery tho… it’s not the early 2000’s, the fast charge is what 10mins? You can legit plug it in once you’re finished playing it & it’s good for another 32 hours lol
@@stinky_pole So you'd take that over than taking 10 seconds to change the battery?
You do you man.
@@BabysitterSky pretty much as my headsets never flat to the point we’re I need to physically change the battery..
@@stinky_pole Exactly. So what's the point of quick charge? You play for 20 some hours and need to keep going right now?? I mean maybe....
I would love to see Inzone H9 against Pulse 3D!
Agreed great review! Got the H9 for Christmas and been comparing them to steel series 7+. H9 def not good for WZ. the steel series are 100% better but the H9 is a really nice headset. id say def pass if you’re going to be using these for FPS or WZ - this is where the H9 completely fail. Hopefully Sony can patch this or maybe put out an app for better EQ settings
what is "WZ" ? work zoom ?
@@dalurinzinia829Warzone
They have an app
How's the side tone on both
Just bought the H9’s. Haven’t gotten them in the mail yet but I hope they are good for $300. Iv been using the pulse headset and a blue yeti microphone for communication. And I wanted something that will keep the mic out of my face and provide a better audio signature.
The nova pro does have noise cancelation also
Compare them to the pulse
The sony elite pulse? Lol
@@bboyg1 3D pulse
@@TheUncleSpiderX legend has it that the elite pulse are the best so the pulse 3d must not be that great compared to it. Only thing going for it would be the built in. Game and party chat in them. Plus don't those fold? They are cheaply made..they always break
@@bboyg1 elite pulse is old my guy…..
the 3d pulse makes your ears hurt
Steel series is 1# The Best Headset ever everrrrrr!!!
I think you’re wrong but only regarding PS5. The Inzone has a lot of extra functionality with a PlayStation.
Which one sounds better?
I prefer Arctis Nova Pro wireless, but the problem is... My PS5 and PC are far apart, so there is no way to connect both to the same dock station. Guess I may have to get Inzone H9 despite the poorer mic and the need to constantly remember to charge the battery.
hahaha first world problems 🤣
I have this same situation , I don’t really see it being a big problemo as you can just quickly plug and unplug the dac of the nova pro into your pc or console as your going to have to do this with dongle receiver of the h9 anyway, or you could simply just plug the aux into the ps5 controller also as a second option
On the Arctis Nova Pro, did you experience any comfort issues with the ANC mic that protrudes from the earcup?
I have a bit. Sometimes I wont really notice it, but the headset has to be in the exact right spot. If I move it at all, then I will feel the nubs and my ears will feel a bit sore, rubbed raw after wearing. I'm gonna give them a few more days and see if its a big enough deal to return, or if it'll hold me over until I can get some aftermarket cushions, whenever that may be.
@@khumii3228 Ahh I see. A bummer to hear that. The pair I got comes today, so we'll see how they work for me. Appreciate the reply!
@@Jakebth Yeah! I'd be interested in hearing your feedback as well! Hope they work out for you though!
I haven’t experienced the discomfort, I played for about 4 hours. But everyone ears are different. I really like them and they are very comfortable
For all the people trying to defend the Sony mic it’s how u sound to other people. He made that very clear in his review. If you are going to ignore that part then why watch his review? If u want the H9 buy it but the Steel Series has a better mic.
what about sony wh m5 is it any good
sony Is known for their ANC headsets and they're Industry leading , so its really no brainer , so if you want great ANC and Sound quality headset the sony H9 is the way to go i find the simple setup actually good and for the Microphone quality in the video the sony was clearer little bit.
Really bro that mic is shit.
You kidding? The mic is wank
Another reason Artics are better for PS5 is that you can change EQ settings and save them to your headset from your PC.
Inzone H9 It doesn't seem to be durable~
I've only been using it for two days and there is a creaking sound at the knuckles when I rotate the earcups~I'm worried it will only get louder as time goes on~Considering going back....
Sony headphones mic was clearer than the other one,,, the other brand headphones make the voice kinda up and down and a bit noisy. While sony was completely clear and balanced.
Yeah i was confused
yeah same. Idk if this review is really legit given what i've seen. The H9 sounds much better than the Nova but he blatantly said its worse and off with his friends.
Sony should do a software update for the mic! I purchased it on black Friday $199
Glad i found this...I like they way Sony mic sounds better lol.. and my ps5 and pc are not next to eachother so I think just the USB would be super simple to swap between the 2
Idc what anyone says.
mixamp/dac ->optical cable -> console is superior audio. No way I'm buying another headset
H9 vs 7p+ ?????
Sadly, only Sony hardware supports this, as well as game/chat-mix and battery status.
*Sony needs to do work on the microphone?* The Sony mic volume was much more consistent. Your voice kept fading away and was hard to hear you on the Steel Series.
steelSeries Arctis Nova Pros vs 7p+ ?
Inzone h9 vs blackshark v2 pro
The Arctis Nova Pro for Xbox will work for Xbox, PS4/5, and PC
I will wait for the inzone to release a black version and then I'm definitely getting one. Have a black faceplate on my PS5 and I don't want anymore white accessories. Headset sounds like it ticks all the boxes though, so hopefully they drop a black soon! Looks great. H7 is the sweet spot for me, don't care about ANC.

I did research and found out that the headband will break quickly. The total build quality is shit. I went with the acrid pro.
Nice video. But watching mic. comparison Sony H9 clearly has a clearer sound. I was so confused by your comment, Booredatwork
For the recording yes. While gaming it's just super hard for anyone to hear you
@@BooredAtWork Is it normal for the H9 to make a hissing noise on the left side when noise cancellation is on?
Bro the arctic nova pros do have noise cancellation not just the Sony’s
Let me just say this so everybody understands: All wireless headsets have crappy microphone quality because there is a bandwidth issue. The majority of the wireless signal is dedicated to deliver as high sound quality as possible to the headset, and they leave a small part for the microphone. That’s why these microphones sound so similar. The best option is to use a separate michrophone that stands on your desk or mounted to a boom arm if you want your friends to hear you like you’re sitting next to them and not like a call from india.

"call from India" 🤣😂
im just so happy that sony gets into the battle ring with other gaming headset brands cuz sony knows sound. 👍
It’s easy to forget they’re originally a stereo and speaker company
Sony sucks when it comes to sound quality. They're only known for having the best ANC.
If you what elite sound quality from a headset/headphones, you go with Sennheiser, EPOS, Beyerdynamics, Audeze, meze, etc.
please add chapters for time scrubbing in the descriptions, its how i and many watch videos when we're trying to find out what product to buy, we just want to listen to the microphon etc

Steel Series comes with GameDAC which provides a much better audio. Also you can swap out the batteries on the fly. Sony Headset doesn't have that option..
But why swap battery when Sony’s battery last 35 hours 😂
@@davidjimenez8032 sometimes I forget to charge my headphones. So swapping that batt works like a charm.
As someone who’s been using the Nova Pro Wireless since it came out I would rather use my Nova’s. The H9 microphone doesn’t sound all that great, battery life is amazing, sound is also amazing on the Nova’s
That just sounds like you're trying to justify your purchase

Do you use the Novas on ps5 or PC? Correct me if i'm wrong the game chat mix doesn't function on ps5 right?
@@Brett2000-p7q I have them on PS5 and I think once you do the initial firmware update and use the sonar software it gives you chat mix. I haven't done that yet because I read it takes away EQ control from the game dac and you have to use your PC.
A correction, The H9 does do multi sound input like the Artic as well, I had the Arctics and I was Not a fan of the sound quality. So much so that I returned it for an Astro a50.
It does mutiple in regards to one usb one Bluetooth. Compared to the arc that can do 3 sources with the arctis
Did the exact same thing lol
The only reason I’ll buy these headsets the H9 is because Sony only allows Game and voice chat to be used on day headsets only
The only issue is that the ANC nub on the inside on the Arctis Nova Pro sticks out, So for me that was the main reason I ended up returning them. It was just really uncomfortable, Hopefully they make a wireless version later on without that ANC nub, Then I might consider getting it.
That nub sucks, you have to really dial the headset in.
Just buy bigger ear cups
@@emirhanyagci6982 not available yet
You can get aftermarket ear cushions that fix that problem.
@@TheAstraeuss it would be better if it already came with thick enough cups for the nub, the cups are great, they feel amazing but they aren’t thick enough.
The Arctis mic was very bad, the volume was inconsistent, not the Sony was great but at least it didn't go high and low
Lol the H9 kills the nova in sound quality, and that’s really all that matters at the end of the day. Secondly, the Sony mic sounded better in your tests. Did Arctis sponsor this video or something?
Is h9 sound quality actually better than the nova I’ve never used the nova but I just bought the h9 and the sound is really good and clear
Thank you!
Between the mic simples you showed in the vid, Sony's sounded clearer tbh
ya, and the sound on the nova seemed like it kept lowering

On the ps5 the h9 volume sounds way too low. I wish they were louder
