Hello i have One question. If i am sitting on couch far away from tv and playstation 5, and i will not want to get up to playstation to turn on anc and other features that i need from dac, there is no possibility to take dac wirelessly with me and still be connected to ps5?
Do you know if you can mute the Sony H9 headset with the mute button on the controller? It's crazy this function is not working on the 3d pulse headset.
Why you didn't mention anything about game/chat balance on PS5 for both headset... Laggy bt. connections on steal series.... Ppl are also complaining about this. Mic is indeed sound better. Swapping battery is also good. Unfortunately Nova is similar to artic pro. Make to much pressure on my head. Pity
Got the Arctis Pro Wireless headset 1 year ago, and the game doc screen had burn in. Steelseries doesn’t honor their warranty if bought from a 3rd party such as Best Buy where mine was from, so I’m basically beat. Will never purchase a steelseries product ever again.
Deciding between the nova pro wireless and the wired version, I only play on ps5 at a desk.. is it worth getting the wired for the little extra sound improvements?
Do you get up a lot to get drinks etc. while chatting to your friends using party chat - then you probably want a fully wireless headset. Otherwise, the wired headset is one less battery to manage, and as long as you’re with your controller, it really isn’t inconvenient at all.
Question, have steelseries fixed the tight fit for biger heads? And does it have mic recording treshold? In your test it tok up way to mutch breading noise
Just to clarify, this supports normal bluetooth connection to mobile phones aswell? So I can use it while commuting to work, aswell as my PS5 and PC via extra dongle?
Can you please answer this question. The Sony H9 cannot adjust there EQ settings on the PS5 (it uses only the default) , this only works on the PC. Can the steel serie adjust the EQ on the PS5?
The pro has it's own eq adjuster dac I thought otherwise no you use a pc to edit the eq on the old arctis 7 I have and it saves internally through the wireless connection for when you use it on ps5 etc
I prefer Arctis Nova Pro wireless, but the problem is... My PS5 and PC are far apart, so there is no way to connect both to the same dock station. Guess I may have to get Inzone H9 despite the poorer mic and the need to constantly remember to charge the battery.
hahaha first world problems 🤣 I have this same situation , I don’t really see it being a big problemo as you can just quickly plug and unplug the dac of the nova pro into your pc or console as your going to have to do this with dongle receiver of the h9 anyway, or you could simply just plug the aux into the ps5 controller also as a second option
Sony Inzone H9 is $200 cheaper in Canada and now it comes in black so it's hard to pick the the Nova Pro but I would understand why someone would pay extra for those headphones.
hello, great video, the sony headphones can also be connected to a mobile phone as well as to the pc or ps5. Connect to a smartphone via Bluetooth® and a 2.4 GHz wireless network at the same time. Enjoy Bluetooth smartphone calls and voice chats while gaming via a wireless USB connection.)
Now the million dollar question have they updated the firmware on the Nova Pro to be able to control the chat/game audio mix from the volume wheel instead of having to pause the game and pull up a sub menu. That was a deal breaker with my Arctis Pro wireless on my PS5 even though there was a firmware update to support PS5 I kept the transmitter set on PS4 to be able to control the chat and game volumes independently directly from the headset.
@@frvnkie5969 You dont unless you are in a party, you have a game/chat mixer in the options within to adjust game vs chat audio. The pulse 3D headsets allow you to change this game/chat mixer on the headset itself. This is the only headset that allows you to control this feature on the headset itself. Sony done away with independent chat/game audio and now uses this weird mixer. And If you're not in a party and choose to use in game chat audio, it is all now going to have to be solely controlled via in game adjustments. It is solely up to games themselves to add this feature in there settings. If you're talking about the Arctis Pro wireless on the PS5 gotta have an optical audio cable for your game audio out from your TV and set your Transmitter for use on a PS4 then go to your console and change the audio out to chat only instead of all audio to the headset and only then will you have the option to adjust game/chat audio from the headset itself.

A correction, The H9 does do multi sound input like the Artic as well, I had the Arctics and I was Not a fan of the sound quality. So much so that I returned it for an Astro a50.
Let me just say this so everybody understands: All wireless headsets have crappy microphone quality because there is a bandwidth issue. The majority of the wireless signal is dedicated to deliver as high sound quality as possible to the headset, and they leave a small part for the microphone. That’s why these microphones sound so similar. The best option is to use a separate michrophone that stands on your desk or mounted to a boom arm if you want your friends to hear you like you’re sitting next to them and not like a call from india.
@@BabysitterSky I don’t see the point in needing to change the battery tho… it’s not the early 2000’s, the fast charge is what 10mins? You can legit plug it in once you’re finished playing it & it’s good for another 32 hours lol

@Brian Rodriguez For real. I actually have the Kaira pros too. I like them but my pisses me off sometimes cus it won't turn on after a day or 2. I try different ones thinking I'm gonna notice a huge difference but so far everything sounds somewhat similar.
*Sony needs to do work on the microphone?* The Sony mic volume was much more consistent. Your voice kept fading away and was hard to hear you on the Steel Series.
The only issue is that the ANC nub on the inside on the Arctis Nova Pro sticks out, So for me that was the main reason I ended up returning them. It was just really uncomfortable, Hopefully they make a wireless version later on without that ANC nub, Then I might consider getting it.
@@TheAstraeuss it would be better if it already came with thick enough cups for the nub, the cups are great, they feel amazing but they aren’t thick enough.

sony Is known for their ANC headsets and they're Industry leading , so its really no brainer , so if you want great ANC and Sound quality headset the sony H9 is the way to go i find the simple setup actually good and for the Microphone quality in the video the sony was clearer little bit.
Really bro that mic is shit.
You kidding? The mic is wank
Weird question , what eq setup do you use for horizon with the Steel series sir?
You can connect the H9’s to two devices at once, one through dongle, one through Blutooth
Hello would this work with playing on console while having Bluetooth on pc?
As for sound quality, is the h9 better than the arctis 7p? I wanna buy one of them but don't know wich one to buy
Sound quality is better on sony i can ensure
from your test nova sounded like it keeps popping and going silent then going loud again compared to the somy sounding like tin can though atleast its consistent. cant count how many times played with someone who has the mic that some words was so loud then some words was so silent. especially the durability if the design of the overall steel series. there are tons of breakage of steelseries in the internet super design flaw.
Failed to mention the no gauge display on the PS5 for the Arctis Nova. You can easily monitor your H9 battery from there and a lot more.
It doesn’t matter what ur battery’s at with the NOVA, with hot swap battery you have unlimited battery
@@6ftmouse349 that’s right! That’s what I do n it’s so easy to charge the batt!
Have you tried the new PS5 Bang & Olufsen Beoplay Portal headset? I'd like to know how they compare too
Do you think the material on the earphone will flake off over time from facial stubble?
The inzone sounds better by the mic …the s ring too much in the second headset..besides that they sounds the same to me…I think h series is better…feels like the second headset may have better audio experience but for the h series being relatively new…I’m liking how they are developing..so thank you I’ve made up my mind
Hello i have One question.
If i am sitting on couch far away from tv and playstation 5, and i will not want to get up to playstation to turn on anc and other features that i need from dac, there is no possibility to take dac wirelessly with me and still be connected to ps5?
Will the inzone hub settings configuration also work on the PS5 ? I saw no app for on the PS5.

Do you know if you can mute the Sony H9 headset with the mute button on the controller? It's crazy this function is not working on the 3d pulse headset.

What headset are you currently using?
Blaupunkt BH11
I don't have a headset :)
Steelseries Nova Wireless Pro
I have three.... the hyperx $300 pair....
The turtle Beach stealth 800.... And the Xbox wired headset........
Wired nova
Thanks for this, it really helped!
Question, have steelseries fixed the tight fit for biger heads? And does it have mic recording treshold? In your test it tok up way to mutch breading noise
Yes they fit bigger heads
Just to clarify, this supports normal bluetooth connection to mobile phones aswell? So I can use it while commuting to work, aswell as my PS5 and PC via extra dongle?
yes
does the high res audio work on console or just for pc
Nice video. But watching mic. comparison Sony H9 clearly has a clearer sound. I was so confused by your comment, Booredatwork
For the recording yes. While gaming it's just super hard for anyone to hear you
@@BooredAtWork Is it normal for the H9 to make a hissing noise on the left side when noise cancellation is on?
Another reason Artics are better for PS5 is that you can change EQ settings and save them to your headset from your PC.
Guess I may have to get Inzone H9 despite the poorer mic and the need to constantly remember to charge the battery.
hahaha first world problems 🤣
I have this same situation , I don’t really see it being a big problemo as you can just quickly plug and unplug the dac of the nova pro into your pc or console as your going to have to do this with dongle receiver of the h9 anyway, or you could simply just plug the aux into the ps5 controller also as a second option
Well what about the audeze Penrose. Does that not beat both
Sony Inzone H9 is $200 cheaper in Canada and now it comes in black so it's hard to pick the the Nova Pro but I would understand why someone would pay extra for those headphones.
hello, great video, the sony headphones can also be connected to a mobile phone as well as to the pc or ps5. Connect to a smartphone via Bluetooth® and a 2.4 GHz wireless network at the same time. Enjoy Bluetooth smartphone calls and voice chats while gaming via a wireless USB connection.)
I think you’re wrong but only regarding PS5. The Inzone has a lot of extra functionality with a PlayStation.
Now the million dollar question have they updated the firmware on the Nova Pro to be able to control the chat/game audio mix from the volume wheel instead of having to pause the game and pull up a sub menu. That was a deal breaker with my Arctis Pro wireless on my PS5 even though there was a firmware update to support PS5 I kept the transmitter set on PS4 to be able to control the chat and game volumes independently directly from the headset.
where do you find the sub menu to change game/chat volume? couldent find it
@@frvnkie5969 You dont unless you are in a party, you have a game/chat mixer in the options within to adjust game vs chat audio. The pulse 3D headsets allow you to change this game/chat mixer on the headset itself. This is the
only headset that allows you to control this feature on the headset itself. Sony done away with independent chat/game audio and now uses this weird mixer. And If you're
not in a party and choose to use in game chat audio, it is all now going to have to be solely controlled via in game adjustments. It is solely up to games themselves to add this
feature in there settings.
@@Brad.W i have an audio splitter for my Astro a50s that follows the same setup as your last paragraph, and I can currently adjust chat/game mix on my a50 headset. Do you know if I’ll be able to plug the Nova Pro into my existing setup and still be able to adjust the chat/game mix on the headset? I’ve seen people saying you can if you press the audio wheel in, but no one on RUclips has shown this
how is the bass on the sony ones?
Dude. The mics sounded the same to me. You could hear the snapping of your fingers on both headsets. I don't know what you are talking about. I listened to the video several times just to confirm my findings from this video. There was no difference as far as I'm concerned.
I just bought a nova pro wirelessva ~ but a strange thing happened~~ from time to time a very large crackling audio will come from the headset, ~ after reading some articles, this seems to be a bug in the wireless version? Does anyone have a similar problem? I The only thing is that there is a loud noise in the left channel~ This really scared me...
Does the headset mute if you press mute on the ps5 controller though?
Yes it works on the H9. But not on the Pulse 3d
dude you kidding me? sony mic was way way way better than muffled steel series that was not even consistent
Between the mic simples you showed in the vid, Sony's sounded clearer tbh
ya, and the sound on the nova seemed like it kept lowering
can steelseries work 2 device console n handphone in sametime.
please add chapters for time scrubbing in the descriptions, its how i and many watch videos when we're trying to find out what product to buy, we just want to listen to the microphon etc
A correction, The H9 does do multi sound input like the Artic as well, I had the Arctics and I was Not a fan of the sound quality. So much so that I returned it for an Astro a50.
It does mutiple in regards to one usb one Bluetooth. Compared to the arc that can do 3 sources with the arctis
Did the exact same thing lol
How's the side tone on both
Let me just say this so everybody understands: All wireless headsets have crappy microphone quality because there is a bandwidth issue.

Which one sounds better?
The nova pro does have noise cancelation also
nice talk man, l like your review
I subscribed today. Nice video review of the Sony Inzone, yeah will be getting it for sure.
Does the steel have fast charge like the H9 tho?
Did you compare the audio quality on any Ps exclusives like Returnal, demon souls, HFW etc ?
You don't need fast charging when you have two batteries
@@BabysitterSky I don’t see the point in needing to change the battery tho… it’s not the early 2000’s, the fast charge is what 10mins? You can legit plug it in once you’re finished playing it & it’s good for another 32 hours lol
@@stinky_pole So you'd take that over than taking 10 seconds to change the battery?
You do you man.
@@BabysitterSky pretty much as my headsets never flat to the point we’re I need to physically change the battery..
@@stinky_pole Exactly. So what's the point of quick charge? You play for 20 some hours and need to keep going right now?? I mean maybe....
H9 would be fucking awesome if it didn't have choppy audio fresh out the box! I just exchanged it for a steelseries! The unboxing was unreal 🤯 thoroughly impressed until I started using its an average mic really but all the bells and whistles that come along with the steelseries give it the nod over the h9! True Bluetooth on steel series! I couldn't use my phone with h9 no way to wire up if ever on h9, h9 is loose fit but more comfortable over ear than steel now steel with the throwback removable battery that charges from the little hub you attach to the p5 🤯🤯🤯🤯 holy shit game changer!
Tried the inzone yday, it’s very comfortable compared to any gaming headset i’ve used
So hard to pick. One one hand I ADORE the battery system of the SteelSeries as you never end up without a charge, but on the other end, I really do want Noise Cancellation as the environment where I game can get quite lousy.
@Brian Rodriguez wait really? do you have a source where they compare the NC with Xm5’s?
@Brian Rodriguez ah. Steelseries it is then.
@Brian Rodriguez yeah dude. Between that and the battery thing, the 50$ extra seem like a no brainer. Sony should’ve priced them at 249$. Seemed more fitting.
I got the nova pros from bestbuy. Used them for 3 days and took them back. To me they basically sounded no different than the arctis 7s so it just felt like a waste of money. I'm just gonna wait. They'll be more headsets coming eventually
@Brian Rodriguez For real. I actually have the Kaira pros too. I like them but my pisses me off sometimes cus it won't turn on after a day or 2. I'll have to plug them in to get them to turn on and then I can unplug them and they'll be fine after that. I thought about trying the new Inzone H9s but I'm afraid they'll sound just like the pulse 3d headset and be a waste of money. I could use them for my PC but I also have the black sharks too so I don't really need another PC headset. I have a pair of astro a50s gen4 that's just been collecting dust.
That nub sucks, you have to really dial the headset in.
Just buy bigger ear cups
@@emirhanyagci6982 not available yet
You can get aftermarket ear cushions that fix that problem.
@@TheAstraeuss it would be better if it already came with thick enough cups for the nub, the cups are great, they feel amazing but they aren’t thick enough.
steelSeries Arctis Nova Pros vs 7p+ ?
On the Arctis Nova Pro, did you experience any comfort issues with the ANC mic that protrudes from the earcup?
I have a bit. Sometimes I wont really notice it, but the headset has to be in the exact right spot. If I move it at all, then I will feel the nubs and my ears will feel a bit sore, rubbed raw after wearing. I'm gonna give them a few more days and see if its a big enough deal to return, or if it'll hold me over until I can get some aftermarket cushions, whenever that may be.
@@khumii3228 Ahh I see. A bummer to hear that. The pair I got comes today, so we'll see how they work for me. Appreciate the reply!
@@Jakebth Yeah! I'd be interested in hearing your feedback as well! Hope they work out for you though!
I haven’t experienced the discomfort, I played for about 4 hours. But everyone ears are different. I really like them and they are very comfortable
Steel series is 1# The Best Headset ever everrrrrr!!!
Sony headphones mic was clearer than the other one,,, the other brand headphones make the voice kinda up and down and a bit noisy. While sony was completely clear and balanced.
Yeah i was confused
yeah same. Idk if this review is really legit given what i've seen. The H9 sounds much better than the Nova but he blatantly said its worse and off with his friends.
Idc what anyone says.
mixamp/dac ->optical cable -> console is superior audio. No way I'm buying another headset
what about sony wh m5 is it any good
Inzone H9 It doesn't seem to be durable~
I've only been using it for two days and there is a creaking sound at the knuckles when I rotate the earcups~I'm worried it will only get louder as time goes on~Considering going back....
Fairreview and comment brother
That nova pro mic was fading in and out real bad
As someone who’s been using the Nova Pro Wireless since it came out I would rather use my Nova’s. The H9 microphone doesn’t sound all that great, battery life is amazing, sound is also amazing on the Nova’s
That just sounds like you're trying to justify your purchase

Do you use the Novas on ps5 or PC? Correct me if i'm wrong the game chat mix doesn't function on ps5 right?
@@Brett2000-p7q I have them on PS5 and I think once you do the initial firmware update and use the sonar software it gives you chat mix. I haven't done that yet because I read it takes away EQ control from the game dac and you have to use your PC.
The Arctis Nova Pro for Xbox will work for Xbox, PS4/5, and PC
