N. Rampart Street: Walking the French Quarter

N. Rampart Street is the northern border of the French Quarter or Vieux Carre. It’s named from the wall that was built on the north side of the street as fortification for the early French colonial city.
You’ll see the construction site at the end of the video where the Hard Rock Hotel partially collapsed and killed three worker and injured dozens.
It’s also the home of Armstrong Park where Congo Square is located.
