Thanks so much for pointing out the ROCKD app. Rock formation is a big deal with me. The alternative is to painstakingly learn the various strata in the DFW area. Does this app also describe the natural colors of the various formations (Austin chalk would be light, of course). I read somewhere that the cretaceous in the Grapevine area is darker in color, etc.
