Who am I?
I am Jason, I work full time in an office and I like to mow lawns on weekends for fun and a few dollars.
What areas do you service?
I currently service lawns in western Sydney around the Blacktown, NSW, area in Sydney Australia
Do you mow full time?
No, I work in an office 5 days a week and mow on weekends. Most jobs you see me do are FREE at my own cost.
How long have you been mowing:
6 months, but I helped my dad for 3-4 years when I was young when he started a mowing franchise.

It was lovely to see you help this couple. We have had loads of guys do work for my elderly mum, only to rip her off. The latest was charging her £60 a week to mow her tiny lawn.. a fifteen minute job. I was in and out of hospital at the time and had no idea the guy had put the price up to that! Then another stole all my late father's tools, a lawn scarifier and even her Christmas lights! My youngest does the garden now for her but it's wrong that so many took advantage of her kind nature. Thank you for helping so many x

@@LushCutLawns The padding near your thighs, allows you to feel comfortable up against it. Let that be most of your balance right there. Use the metal bar, near the controls, for in between your thumb and pointer finger. Use the remainder of your fingers on the controls. With your thumb holding your hands still, you'll be able to operate the motions much easier. Think of it as every bump you hit, your hands are going to want to squeeze or let go. If you allow your legs to waist take all the bumps, your hands will take you in a straight direction.

You are an "angel". I always did all my work around 2 house plus helped my mom and till they both passed. I am only 5' 4", did everything except plumbing and electrical work. All this while worked fulltime, raised my daughter since age 4, put myself thru college (paid for everything) and my daughter plus bought her a new car when she finished college. Started saving for college in 3rd grade...had jobs delivering papers, shovel snow, mow grasses, babysat, walked ponies for little kids to ride, cashier in high school cafeteria, when 16 legal age to work did so at holidays, summer, and after school. Now 78, hospitalized for bleeding ulcers, had virus shot but while in hospital hot covid which landed me back in hospital, lucky they found beginning of cancer, operated, had radiation treatments, still recovering but now to weak to cut lawn or do errands. So it is difficult. Thank God I went to college got Bach. and Masters degrees. Have decent retirement.
Lol.. I remember the first time I took my ride-on home from the mower shop, never driven one before in my life, I was so scared so I took it to the park to practice. Took me a long time to get it of the trailer..lol

Enjoy the new stand up! FYI, try weed eating and edging then blow the clipping to the yard and then mow over the clipping to mulch. Too confusing switching around.

I notice that the yard across the street is overgrown as well. It gives a good comparison to your finished product of before and after to the homeowners, I think.

All that matters is that you got on the machine and cut the grass. It doesn’t matter how straight the lines are. Straight lines come with practice. Great transformation. Now they need to keep it up. 👏👏👍🏻

What I saw how proffesionals work; first... trimming. 2 edging.3 mowing. If you mow in the direction of the outlet of the gras you'll never have the stuff on the wrong side and you don't have to clean it.4 blow clean directly after mowing all the green waiste. Why? There will be no green spots on the pavement.
I hope this will help a bit. Sorry for my bad english. It's not my first language, but I hope you'll get it what I mean.

We have always helped elderly neighbors or neighbors who have some valid reason, like injury or illness, that they cannot mow their lawns. People should at least mow for neighbors who need it. Mowing a slightly long lawn is not that much work. It is more and more overwhelming when it gets this overgrown. It is a sad world when a whole neighborhood ignores someone who obviously needs help. I am glad those like you pitch in and tackle the big jobs for those who need help.
