Good video man! I did mine at work and lifted the bed with a forklift on chains haha I never knew it was so easy to take off. A couple pointers though....you don't explain where the connectors are for the lights. Just that they're under the truck and can't really tell where you're at by the camera. Maybe take the bolts out for the filler tube last so there's not a bunch of pressure on the plastic clip, and they won't break as easy.
Man, I appreciate this video. I've never really worked on a vehicle until buying my 99 Silverado. I've been dreaded having to do the fuel pump, but this looks so much easier than I've been led to believe.
I used your video to change out my fuel pump in my 03 - just wanted to say thank you so much for making the video - my only question was about the battery to disconnect or not - I did just to be on the safe side - again thank you and God Bless you 🙏🏾
Really digging the trophy’s mane thanks for the knowledge loved when u said “I’m not gonna record myself …pretty self explanatory…” ur literally me if I’d make a vid ✌🏽
About to do this today and I was curious of when I should change the fuel filter 🤔 Should I do it when the fuel pump is disconnected, or connected? Or does it not matter 🤷♂️
@@boostedz72 got it all finished perfectly replacing the fuel filter and everything, now I’m waiting on my obd reader to fire up so I can see why my check engine light came on 😅

These gen3 trucks were designed to be fixed by the owners. They don't make em like that anymore. Thanks for this video, it helps a lot!
Thanks for watching!!

Hope this helps someone save some money on repairs!
Did you need to disconnect the battery at all?
@@NOAHJOSHUA35 when ever you work with wiring it is safe practice to disconnect the battery!
Great video! Good visuals and instructions. Thanks! The hardest part was rounding up enough folks to move the bed back out of the way.
Awesome man glad it helped!
Black Flag 🤙🏼 nice vid, thanks.
Thank you!
I replaced the pump it worked good except the fuel gauge is off a littlle so i had to remove and adjust the float arm to get a correct reading.
The biggest problem, not mentioned here, can be rusty bolts in getting the bed off.
That is very true!
About to do this today and I was curious of when I should change the fuel filter 🤔

You can do it first and it will help relieve pressure from the lines and may help with removing the line. From the fuel pump but ether way is fine!
@@boostedz72 Awesome 😎 thank you very much for your reply and extremely informative video 🍻

I have to turn my key and let the fuel pump prime every time I start it so that means fuel pump is bad right ??
How many times do you have to prime before it starts?
@@boostedz72 3 for it start good
