This was the best Anime in the history or Anime. The atmosphere it creates is so real. I watched it as a child and it changed me forever. The story and animation is great.
Same outside of dbz this was the first anime I saw back in the day. It was a pretty realistic situation if there were any type of “alien” type beings on earth.
I can't tell you how long and how hard I've been searching for this. No torrent sites had it, no nostalgia sites had it and for the longest all I've been able to find is the UK version. I grew up with this show, renting it from Blockbuster REPEATEDLY every time I got the chance (shocker I know, Blockbuster had some hidden gems in it back in the day). There is no measurement in this world that can describe how thankful you put this out here.

the music when guyver 3 appears gives me proper chills. Love it when the lightning strikes and he's stood there looking hard as nails with 1 mega smasher open ;)
Higher budget, less episodes, been a ova and not a tv show, not done during the awkward transition to digital from the early 2000’s, 2005 had a lot against it. Wish Netflix would give it a similar treatment as Bastard! The only issue is the manga’s hiatus.
Thought it was just me, I was 17 when ‘05 came out and enjoyed it because it covered more of the anime. Did a rewatch recently and was quite disappointed with ‘05 SO MUCH MONOLOGUING! And I didn’t care for some of the voices. For example, I enjoyed this version of Guyver 3/Steve Blum much more as he was more stoic & mature. He really gave the feeling he was a dark man trapped in a kids body. ‘05’s G3 was trying too hard to be cool.
Okay, so far I’ve preferred the U.K. version, but the screams definitely made the attack a lot more harrowing and I’ll happily rate this as the superior episode 4
Finally sitting down and watching the full Guyver series starting here then going to Bio Booster Armor and I’m saving Out of Control for last. Guyver is dope. I’m scaling Zetman too. The idea of dark tokusatsu series like these should be done more often.
Michaelangelo Gonzalez so I’m done with the binge. Zetman has cool transformations but crap characters and storyline didn’t end up finishing it. This series is the shit. But the original OVA: Guyver out of Control. Is the best version it goes so hard I’ve rewatched it four times damn near already but this series with the twelve episodes is good for continued story arc. The reboot series was trash though whole different vibe I didn’t even watch it. I’m watching the old Baki anime now from ‘01 after finished the new season on Netflix. Guyver: Out Of Control is one of the greatest achievements in the history of anime in my opinion. Especially in the “monster mayhem” genre. I ended up watching it first and then I finished scaling these episodes. Salute brother.

if your boss had lakers colors for eyes, it would be really intimidating. though it's actually refreshing how at kronos, you don't just fail upwards, you have to actually do a good job or the opportunity will go to someone else. and the coworkers really care about each other.

Damn straight- Thancrus is a badass hyper zoanoid! Spoiler Altert! Him and all of the other hyper zoanoids make it beyond the first arch in the manga- largely due to this episode being sort of a parallel to Guyver 2's fight instead in the manga.
Chronos already knows that Sho has the Guyver after his battle with Lisker. Of course they'd have Sho under surveillance. They would know he told/showed the reporter, so destroying the office and everyone in it before any of that information about Chronos could leak out would happen as soon as possible. Knowing Sho is the Guyver, of course they'd know everything about him, including his school, too. As for weakness, I'm not sure which 'he' you mean and about who. Or what weakness you are referring to. Do you mean Guyver 1's weakness? They know about the weaknesses and strengths of the Guyver after studying Lisker, who was Guyver 2 and a member of Chronos. Studying him gave Chronos a ton of information about what the Guyver can and can't do. If you mean how Guyver 3 knew how to take out the Hyper-Zoanoid Team 5, that would be because of who Guyver 3 actually is and the access he has to that information.

I had all 6 OVA VHS tapes back in the 90s, I regret selling them, I can't express how much I appreciate the upload.
Guyver 1989 ova was better than the 2005 version in my opinion.

Rewatching this already gave me shivers. It's as good as I remember it; in body and soul.
