The full-length third episode of the Pure Pwnage web series. Original release date: July 19, 2004. Official merchandise: www.noobstore.com www.purepwnage.com
Id like to think that Pure Pwnage helped change the internet in general. They were one of the first internet shows that I ever experienced. Before RUclips ever existed. It was something special for the time. You would never stumble across something like this back in the day. These episodes were hosted on their independent website, and you'd get 1-2 episodes released every year, which was a special thing. Producing these episodes were a lot harder back then with the old technology and to make it available on the internet. Not to mention getting "viral" which was not at all common without the social medias we have today. I'm honestly surprised that Pure Pwnage were able to blow up like they did
Young people won't understand how important Pure Pwnage was for us back in the day. We grew up in an era when being a gamer wasn't cool, people laughed at us for spending endless hours in our comp playing SC or CS, and the only place we felt at home was a PC Cafe. For me, Pure Pwnage isn't just nostalgia, but it allowed me to accept and be proud of who I am, and it was a show that I related in so many levels. It's much easier for today's gamers to be accepted into society, now that gaming life has become mainstream & cool, which is a good thing.
I watched this show with 2 close friends, we were like 11-12 back then. We would have ''micro'' battles like in the show LOL, this show is a very treasured part of my childhood.
I doubt anyone at my school watched this series, but I shamelessly watched it and stayed with it for quite a long time :' ) I was amazed to see they ended up making a movie. I'm sure I made so many references to this show that meant so much to me and nobody else knew. So many people don't even know this is where the legend was born: 5:15
Its awesome to see these old Pure Pwnage videos still getting views and comments. Pure Pwnage is and always will be one of my fondest memories growing up. Getting together with my friends to watch the newest episode after months of waiting was always a blast. Thank you Geoff Lapaire, Jarett Cale, Joel Gardiner, and everyone else who helped make this masterpiece what it was! You guys are the goat.

I hope you guys know how much this web series meant to so many people. You created the backdrop for my high school gaming life. It sounds silly, but my eyes get watery and I get goosebumps whenever I watch these episodes now. It's just a web series, but it means so much more than that to me. Just, thank you. From the most sincere part of my heart. Thank you. Jarrett, Geoff, Joel, and Dave, you guys are the best.
A lot of people don't even know where Boom Headshot comes from. You say "Have you heard of Pure Pwnage?" They say "No..." You say "Have you heard of Boom headshot?" They say "Oh yea..."
It's probably because of the dubstep song from Feed Me called One Click Headshot if I remember correctly, I hate dubstep but it's a good song although probably only cus of the whole boom headshot thing from good ol' FPS Doug intregrated into the song... I finished typing my comment before realizing that I'm replying to a 5 year old comment...
now the same girls that thought all gamers were disgusting nerds are the ones with their tits out every day on twitch for attention while being absolutely shit at every game. how times change.
BOOM!!! HEADSHOT! BOOM!!! HEADSHOT! I CAN DANCE ALL DAY!! I CAN DANCE ALL DAY!! This guy... Oh FPS Doug... thank you making for a glorious glorious childhood #13yearslater
I was at work and randomly remembered pure pwnage, don't know exactly why. So I got home, crack a beer open and looked it up to reminisce. Was halfway through this episode when I checked the date of release: "july 19, 2004". My internal monologue went like: "Wow, almost nine years ago to the day... ...wait...nine...?... ...Man... nineTEEN..." Damn.
Man I remember high school when this came out. We had a school library full of old Dell Optiplexes, and I remember having a portable CS install on a flash drive we shared around to do ad hoc little LAN sessions at lunch and stuff. Even hosted LAN parties with friends back in those days. Memories of threatening to chuck the first person to fall asleep in our pool. Good times. I've had a CS: Source gungame server up for fifteen years on my home server because of this series, and to this day it still fills every evening. Hell my best friend in high school even got me one of the Pure Pwnage road signs autographed by Jarrett. It's still on my wall sixteen years later.
Man it's so weird seeing this stuff 15+ years later. So much changed since then, internet was still a rogue fuckin place. Also, never noticed how Canadian Jeremy and Doug were. :D
It's amazing coming back to watch this 10 years later and then realizing that in this day in age it would be totally inappropriate to film this at a school. If you went to a school today and started yelling and fake shooting a ton of people the police would probably think it was a dry run for an attack.
This brings back great memories - it's fun to see again while being in this crazy virus situation. Cheers from Cali. I needed this. Hope you're all well!
2022. I still think of FPS Doug when getting those Headshots. I'm 30 now. It's time to make your comeback boys. 4:15 "EA Sucks my Balls" Times have not changed my friend. 5:58 Doug man, Cmon, Grace us with a follow up episode.
Oh man, you definitely can't say some of the stuff they said back then. This episode brought back so many memories though. A great time capsule. Appreciate it for what they did for the scene.
I promise to do everything in my power to keep Pure Pwnage culturally relevant. The fact the Canadian government has not subsidized this is a crime against humanity. I promise I will do whatever I can to keep this legacy alive.
Brings back so many good memories I had with my friends and family watching these episodes of pure pwnage together. I still have my fps Doug keychain speaker from over 10 years ago 😂. Thank you for all the good times we had together, you are still a legend in my books. Much love from all of us!
He was silent for a few months after the season ended. Then he posted as Jarret and not Jeremy. Basically, he had been in this huge bout of depression for a while and when T-Bag died, it just sent him on a huge downward spiral. He said he loved the support and appreciation for the show from the fans and that it wasn't the end, but he needed time to work on things. The next thing that happened was the TV show. Fans gave it mixed reviews. I liked it, but it didn't have the spirit of the web show.
Man this show was my childhood, I was 11 when this episode came out. This show means way to much to me, I feel like Jeremy, Doug, Kyle and Dave are my heroes.
This show was so fun to watch when it aired. Just seeing short clips of it brings me right back to that time. I wonder what the kids today will think when they watch it. It is like an entirely different time and feel?
Back when i was a n00b lvl 26 wiz, smoking weed and playing games all day, this show came out, i knew it was l33t and me and my girlfriend used to love watching it when the log in servers were down. Happy innocent times for young me.
Oh man, I remember being such a PP fanboy.. I had nearly all the merch, and thought Jeremy was the coolest dude ever. This was huge deal. You guys made something great you can be proud of. Cheers, guys!
Great to watch these again after so many years. The sound of FPS Doug, slowed down and reversed, in the end shot will always remind me of moaning head crab victims in HL2 when you set them on fire, haha. It was fun for me to hear that personal nostalgic cue again!
This is the episode that got me into the show all those years ago. I never turned back. I was such a booster of the show. I bought a bunch of merch, posted on the forums and all the other things the big fans did. When T-Bag died, it was a huge loss. I'll never forget the day Jarret posted about his personal life and what had been going on. It sort of made me tear up a bit. I'm beyond thrilled to see that the Kickstarter has done so well and I eagerly await the return to greatness.
Jay and silent bob rule! Back in the day eh… i watched every PP episode on release day apart from the first couple. Im english but my Canadian BAA sof2 clan member put me onto it and i am forever grateful. Boom headshot yea!!!

they stopped caring when they released SC2 and that horrible arcade custom game host idea.
